The winter morning light streamed through the huge French windows, spilling into the bedroom covered with a soft wool carpet.

When Jiang Chu woke up, the seat next to her was empty, and a faint, cool woody scent lingered on the pillow.

She rubbed her eyes, sat up, got out of bed, and pulled back the curtains to look outside.

The pines and cypresses in the garden stood tall in the cold wind, and the light frost from last night condensed into a thin white glow on the pine needles.

The world was filled with a crisp and refreshing coolness.

After washing up, she went downstairs to the small restaurant on the west side.

Xie Jing sat at the dining table looking at his tablet.

He had changed out of the cold and austere dark suit he wore yesterday and into an extremely sharp black and brown riding outfit.

A fitted turtleneck sweater, a well-tailored hunting vest, excessively long legs encased in crisp cycling shorts, and shiny leather riding boots on her feet.

The man was already very tall, and this British retro-style riding outfit made his broad shoulders, narrow waist, and full, strong thigh muscles stand out even more.

It is also strangely full of both aggression and asceticism.

As soon as Jiang Chu reached the restaurant entrance, her gaze was fixed on him.

"Awake?" Xie Jing turned to look at her, a gentle smile flashing in his eyes. "What are you looking at? Your eyes are about to pop out."

Jiang Chu walked over generously and sat down in the chair opposite him. "Look at you, Chairman, you have a really good figure."

Xie Jing smiled and said, "Thank you."

He poured her a glass of hot milk and pushed it towards her. "It's cold in the mountains in winter. Shall I take you to the racecourse later?"

Jiang Chu took a sip of milk and looked at him with some surprise: "This weather?"

"There's an indoor, temperature-controlled racecourse, but the weather's nice today, sunny, and the outdoor track has been cleared of frost, so it's worth a walk."

Xie Jing picked up his knife and fork and cut the toast. "I have a few thoroughbreds, and they all have good temperaments. I'll take you there after we finish eating."

Not long after, Jiang Chu also changed her clothes.

The matte black fitted coat had a clean cut, with a close-fitting shoulder line and an extremely narrow waist, making her look slender and tall.

White riding breeches hugged her straight legs, and she wore knee-high black riding boots with a subtle, understated embossed pattern on the outside of the boot shaft.

She tied her long hair into a neat ponytail, revealing her elegant and slender neck, making her look like a poplar tree standing tall in the wind.

Xie Jing helped her adjust the buckle from behind.

His large hand slid over her waist, his warm palm gently kneading her soft flesh, and he said softly, "You look great in this too."

Jiang Chu proudly raised her chin. "Thank you, you have excellent taste."

The two passed through the glass corridor behind the main building and arrived at the stables located on the northwest side of the manor.

Although it's called a stable, it's actually a very large, high-end equestrian center.

The all-wood hall was covered with thick, non-slip rubber mats. There was none of the unpleasant odors typical of stables in the air; instead, it was filled with the fresh scent of hay and the aroma of specially made leather coating.

Xie Jing: "Can you ride a horse?"

Jiang Chu hesitated for a moment, then asked, "What about you?"

Xie Jing: "I've ridden it a few times."

Jiang Chu narrowed her eyes, "Just like your rock climbing, right? You say you've done it a few times, but you've actually beaten most people, and even your mother is world-class."

Xie Jing remained calm, "At least you can do rock climbing for a while in the villa, but horseback riding is a different story."

Jiang Chu was skeptical. "I was going to say that I've ridden it a few times too, but our definitions of 'a few times' might be different. For example, your 'a few times' might be hundreds of times."

Xie Jing glanced at her, "Then really not."

As soon as Xie Jing entered, several horses kept in the spacious stables poked their heads out and made soft hissing noises.

Xie Jing led Jiang Chu to a very spacious stable.

Inside stood a tall, black horse with a coat as black and glossy as satin.

Its lines are so smooth that they resemble a work of art sculpted by a top artist, with distinct muscle groups, two ears standing up deftly, and a clear and proud gaze.

"This is Apollo," Xie Jing said, reaching out to touch the black horse's nose. The black horse obediently nuzzled its head against his palm. "It's proud, but very obedient."

"It's so beautiful!" Jiang Chu's eyes lit up, and she leaned over and reached out her hand: "Can I touch it?"

"Go ahead and pet it, it won't bite."

Xie Jing took her hand and guided it to Apollo's soft, warm nose.

Apollo snorted and rolled his large eyes, seemingly assessing the human exuding a sweet fragrance before him.

Then he gently leaned closer, rubbing against Xie Jing's palm and then against Jiang Chu's hand, even sticking out his tongue to try to lick her gloves.

"Wow, it's so well-behaved!" Jiang Chu turned to Xie Jing in surprise. "I thought your horse would be as aloof as you."

Xie Jing chuckled softly, then casually put his arm around her waist and pulled her closer to him: "It will only like you as much as I do—well, but probably not as much as I do."

As they were talking, the servant led out another horse, slightly smaller in size and with a beautiful chestnut coat.

"These are chestnuts," Xie Jing explained. "They're warm-blooded, with an extremely docile temperament. I prepared them for you."

Jiang Chu walked over and touched Chestnut. Chestnut obediently lowered its head, letting her rub its ears.

"You're so cute!" Jiang Chu happily cradled Chestnut's big head. "From now on, we're best friends!"

Chestnut nuzzled against her.

Jiang Chu circled the chestnut twice, liking it more and more as she looked at it.

She reached out and gently combed the hair on Chestnut's neck. Chestnut squinted its eyes in comfort, its long eyelashes trembling slightly, like a thick little fan.

Jiang Chu was amused by its expression and couldn't help but lean over and gently blow on its forehead.

Chestnut immediately snorted, exhaling a warm breath that sent Jiang Chu's wisps of hair flying across her forehead.

"!"

Jiang Chu was startled, then laughed, reaching out to tap Chestnut's nose. "Did you do that on purpose?"

Chestnut tilted its head, its ears twitching nimbly, giving off an innocent look that said, "I don't understand what you're saying."

Jiang Chu then took a carrot from the hay basket next to her, broke it open, and fed it to her in her palm.

Chestnut first gently touched her hand with her soft lips to make sure there was no danger before picking up the carrot piece and crunching away.

Jiang Chu took the opportunity to stroke the soft flesh on both sides of its cheeks again, and Chestnut chewed while letting out a satisfied low hum.

After the servants prepared the saddles, Xie Jing set off first.

With a swift and graceful stride, the man mounted his horse, his hand holding the reins with elegance and composure.

The black thoroughbred shifted its hooves restlessly beneath him, its strong muscles undulating with each movement.

Xie Jing looked down at Jiang Chu and held out a hand to her: "Do you want to ride by yourself, or should I give you a ride?"

Jiang Chu looked at his neat riding attire and then at his increasingly taut and muscular thighs as he straddled the horse, and suddenly a wicked thought arose in her mind.

She stepped onto the pedals and, with the help of the servants, leaped onto Chestnut's horse.

"I can ride by myself," Jiang Chu said, holding the reins and stepping into the stirrups to get closer to Apollo. He tilted his head and looked at him. "By the way, Chairman, let me tell you a secret."

Xie Jing watched her silently.

The little girl showed a familiar expression.

Simply put—

They have ill intentions.

Xie Jing raised an eyebrow. "What?"

Before she finished speaking, Jiang Chu suddenly reached out and, through the thick fabric of the hunting outfit, touched the man's firm buttocks and legs encased in tight cycling shorts.

Snapped!

...and slapped it without any hesitation!

The crisp clapping sounded particularly loud in the quiet stable.

Xie Jing's muscles tensed instantly.

The black horse beneath him was startled by the sudden commotion and trotted a couple of steps uneasily before Xie Jing pulled on the reins and brought it to a stop.

The maid standing nearby trembled with fright, her eyes nearly popping out of her head. She quickly lowered her head and pretended to be invisible.

Jiang Chu calmly withdrew his hand. "Tsk, quite bouncy. You must have practiced a lot, Chairman."

Xie Jing slowly raised his head.

His deep black eyes narrowed slightly, burning with a dangerous light, and his voice was low and husky, "Jiang Chu, you're getting bolder and bolder."

Jiang Chu pulled on the reins and rode Chestnut at a trot towards the racetrack outside, her clear laughter echoing in the winter air.

"Come and chase me if you dare!"

"..."

Xie Jing watched the slender figure disappear into the distance, then suddenly let out a low shout, and his Apollo steed shot out like a black lightning bolt.
