The Physician Tycoon

Chen Manchong waved to Ye Kai, "Come here!"

Ye Kai asked warily, "What are you doing?"

"Get a physical checkup."

"Wasn't it just checked?"

"Your inspections will be conducted every day, and this should become a routine practice. There will be major inspections on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and minor inspections on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays," Chen Man said in a serious tone.

Ye Kai asked shrewdly, "What about Sunday? Can we skip the inspection then?"

Chen Man pursed her lips, "You wish! Of course we need to check, we need to check every day."

"Why are there so many tests?"

"You stinking men need to be kept in check. If we're not careful, you'll be out there flirting, attracting attention, and having affairs!" Chen Man said through gritted teeth.

"Shouldn't we generalize?"

"Not one of them is an exception. There's no cat in the world that doesn't steal fish, and every man is a lecherous devil, the kind of guy who can't resist a beautiful woman!"

"So what do you want to do?"

"Of course I'll squeeze you dry! I'll squeeze you dry, then you'll behave!"

Just as Chen Man was about to grab Ye Kai's ear, the doorbell rang.

"Ding-dong!"

"I'll deal with you later!" Chen Man said fiercely as she opened the door.

Wang Lin stood at the door and respectfully asked Chen Man, "Are you Dean Chen?"

"What's up?" Chen Man looked Wang Lin up and down, feeling that she looked somewhat familiar.

Wang Lin handed a file folder to Chen Man.

"I am a new intern nurse named Wang Lin, and I have come to report for duty."

Chen Man is in charge of the nursing department at the hospital, and all the nurses are under her supervision.

She glanced at the file and instructed, "Go report to the personnel department."

"Yes, Dean Chen."

Wang Lin remained standing still, and Chen Man asked curiously, "Why aren't you leaving yet?"

Wang Lin stared at Chen Man. When Chen Man went to Guo Dafu's house for the inspection, she wore a mask and covered herself up very well. Although Wang Lin suspected that she was Zhang Huaitao's girlfriend, she could not be sure.

Chen Man was only wearing a white lab coat, and Wang Lin recognized her at a glance.

"Aren't you Zhang Huaitao's girlfriend?"

Chen Man waved her hand, "Don't talk nonsense, I don't know him!"

"Wait a minute, I saw you at Zhang Youquan's house!"

Seeing that she couldn't fool them anymore, Chen Man had no choice but to admit it.

"You're right, but Zhang Huaitao and I were never really friends. He was just a toad trying to eat a swan, clinging to me relentlessly. We broke up a long time ago!"

"You're right, that guy is a toad trying to eat swan meat. With his pathetic appearance, how could he be worthy of someone as beautiful as you!"

Chen Man was quite pleased to hear this; the little girl was very charming and knew how to handle things.

She waved her hand and said, "Go on, get back to work, and don't tell anyone about this again."

Wang Lin nodded. "I understand. I don't have any other good points, except that I keep my mouth shut."

"As long as you keep this a secret, I'll protect you from now on."

Just as Wang Lin was about to leave, she looked up and saw Ye Kai. "Ye Kai, what are you doing here?"

"I'm here……"

Chen Man interrupted Ye Kai, "He's here for a medical check-up."

Wang Lin asked in surprise, "Ye Kai, are you feeling unwell? I think you're perfectly healthy!"

Chen Man's face hardened. "Hmm? He's uncomfortable in many ways."

Wang Lin's mouth dropped open. "Is it that serious?"

Chen Man said sternly, "Do you still want to come to work? If you don't, then leave. If you do, then hurry up and complete the formalities!"

Wang Lin was startled. Chen's Hospital was a high-level hospital, and it was very difficult for ordinary people to get in. She had finally gotten this internship opportunity, so how could she miss it?

She quickly replied, "Okay, Dean Chen!"

Wang Lin left in a hurry, feeling both puzzled and, more than anything, happy. Ye Kai had come to the hospital, meaning they would have another chance to meet.

After Wang Lin left, Chen Man's pretty face turned cold. "Ye Kai, I know you still have designs on Wang Lin..."

Ye Kai quickly denied it: "I have no feelings for her, don't frame me!"

"Hmph, I know what you're thinking. To be honest, this girl is really pretty. If I were a man, I might be tempted too."

"But you need to remember this: don't mess with the people around you! You can't touch any of the female nurses in this hospital, understand?"

"Understood. What about the female doctor?"

"Female doctor—hey! You little rascal, you're not allowed to touch a female doctor!"

"And you, are you a female doctor at this hospital?"

Chen Man was speechless. "Hey, you little brat, you tried to trap me! Just wait and see how I deal with you!"

Chen Man stepped forward to grab Ye Kai's ear, but the doorbell rang again.

"Hmph, I'll deal with you later!"

Chen Man opened the door, and Wang Yan stood in the doorway. The two stared at each other, wide-eyed.

"Chen Man, is that you?"

"Wang Yan! What brings you here?"

"I'm here to see Dean Chen. Could you be Dean Chen?" Wang Yan looked Chen Man up and down.

Chen Man smiled. "Yes, that's me."

"Wow! I knew you were no ordinary person the moment I saw you! How could that little hospital in Peach Blossom Town possibly accommodate you! Sure enough, you've been promoted here!"

Chen Man was secretly delighted; the Wang Yan and Wang Lin sisters really knew how to talk.

What's up?

"I'm here to report for duty."

"You've started working here?"

"Yes, I'm here to apply for a special care worker position."

Special care in hospitals refers to special nursing care. Some elderly, weak, sick, or disabled patients who have difficulty moving around and have no one at home to take care of them are referred to special care care services.

This job is quite tough, but it pays well too.

"What made you decide to work here?"

"Make money! This job pays well, and I need the money right now."

"This job is very tough; special care workers have it tough."

"I'm not afraid of hardship or fatigue, as long as I can make money."

"I remember your family grows those high-end watermelons, which cost over ten yuan a pound. You shouldn't be short of money, right?"

"Who doesn't want more money?"

Chen Man frowned in thought, "No, you definitely have another purpose!"

"You see, nothing can be hidden from Dean Chen. You were right," Wang Yan readily admitted.

"I knew you had an ulterior motive. Tell me, why did you come to work here?"

"Actually, I came here for my younger sister, Wang Lin."

"What happened to Wang Lin? She just came to complete the formalities."

"Wang Lin is my mother's precious darling, and my mother repeatedly told me to keep an eye on her."

I heard there are many lecherous doctors at the hospital, and I was worried about her, afraid she'd get taken advantage of, so I applied for a job as a caregiver to keep an eye on her.

Chen Man was deeply moved. "They say parents' hearts are always full of love and worry, but I see you, as their older sister, are just as worried! Don't worry, because of your good intentions, I have to keep an eye on her and make sure no one bullies her!"

Wang Yan clasped her hands together with Chen Man's, "Thank you, Chen Man, oh no, Dean Chen!"

"It's alright, you go ahead."

When Wang Yan looked up and saw Ye Kai, her eyes lit up.
