Master Tianlu waved his hand, "If my skills are inferior, I have nothing to say. I see that you are so young yet possess such skill; may I ask who your master is?"

"I practiced it on my own without any formal training," Ye Kai said, not wanting to reveal the identity of the Calabash Immortal.

Master Tianluo, of course, understood. "It's alright if you don't want to talk about it. I just heard you say you wanted to find the Night Emperor?"

"Yes, Master, do you know how to find the Night Emperor?"

Master Tianluo asked seriously, "Why are you looking for the Night Emperor?"

"Because he indiscriminately killed innocent people, he controlled the Great Xia, but allowed those monsters and demons to run rampant."

Master Tianluo nodded. "I admire your courage, but I don't know where the Night Emperor is either."

Ye Kai asked curiously, "How did you know he would send someone to find me?"

"That's perfect, saves me the trouble of going to find him."

Master Tianlu shook his head. "You're already doomed before you even see him."

He stared at Ye Kai with a regretful look, as if he were looking at a dead man.

"Are you saying I have absolutely no chance?"

Master Tianluo sarcastically said, "Yes, you still have a chance, which is that the Night Emperor himself will fall ill and die."

"Haha, you're very humorous. Hand over Li Mingxun."

"You're about to die, what use is Li Mingxun?"

Menglan chuckled, "You're quite an interesting guy. Stay on the island and keep me company."

Master Tianluo quickly waved his hand, "No, no! He's a jinx right now. If he's here, we'll be exposed very soon."

Menglan pouted and said, "Dad, I've been here for ten years, and I'm about to die of boredom. Finally, an interesting person came, but you won't let him stay and keep me company. What's the point of me living? I might as well jump into the sea and die!"

Ye Kai simply sat down in the chair, crossed his legs, and watched Li Mingxun's performance.

Master Tianluo was anxious. The longer Ye Kai stayed here, the more dangerous it would be, as the Night Emperor could send people to find them at any time.

He said to Ye Kai, "This person is yours now. Take him away quickly!"

Then he turned around and ignored Li Mingxun.

Li Mingxun became agitated and shouted, "Master, your junior brother, Master Haifa, was killed by this brat! Don't you want to avenge Master Haifa?"

Master Tianluo said expressionlessly, "Haifa has only himself to blame; he has no one else to blame but himself."

"What did you say? You didn't avenge your junior brother, but instead said he deserved it. You should be grateful to Haifa. If Haifa hadn't spoken up for you, would I have taken you and your daughter in?"

Master Tianluo became agitated and said angrily,

"Haifa has done so many evil deeds for you over the years. He used girls' corpses to refine elixirs for you, harming hundreds of innocent girls. His crimes are unforgivable. Even if Ye Kai doesn't kill him, I will kill him sooner or later!"

Li Mingxun was in despair and screamed hysterically.

"Old Taoist Tianluo, you have no humanity, you are ungrateful. If I hadn't taken you in, you would have no place in this world."

When Menglan saw that Li Mingxun had insulted her father, she flew into a rage and slapped him across the face several times, cursing as she did so.

Master Tianlu waved his hand, "Stop fighting, Menglan, let Ye Kai take him away!"

Menglan then stopped and said to Ye Kai, "Ye Kai, I'm leaving it to you. Don't let that old man get away!"

"Don't worry, he can't get away."

Ye Kaichong clasped his hands in a fist salute to Master Tianluo, saying, "Take care, Master. I'll take my leave now."

He grabbed Li Mingxun and started to walk out. Menglan called out, "Wait for me!" and ran towards Ye Kai, but was grabbed by the arm by Master Tianluo.

"Nonsense! Stop right there!"

As Menglan watched Ye Kai walk further and further away, she said anxiously, "Dad, I don't want to stay on the island anymore. I want to see the outside world!"

Master Tianlu sighed, "The outside world is wonderful, but also full of helplessness. You'd better stay on the island obediently; another bloody storm is about to sweep through the martial world!"

"You mean this kid's going to have a big fight with the Night Emperor?"

Master Tianlu shook his head. "He's no match for the Night Emperor."

Menglan asked curiously, "Then what bloodshed and chaos is there?"

"Every ten years, the Night Emperor kills a large number of people, and this year happens to be the year he goes on a killing spree."

Why would he do that?

"Because he felt there were too many people in the world. Without war, the population would grow rapidly, and many of them were of no value in living. He wanted to kill these people to save resources."

"Because I captured the Night Emperor's men and tortured him for a day and a night, he couldn't take it anymore and just wanted to die quickly, so he revealed the secrets of the Night Emperor that he knew."

"So that's how it is. The Night Emperor killed so many people, didn't the police do anything about it?"

"How do you think the Night Emperor killed people?"

Menglan guessed, "With a knife? With a gun, or poison?"

Master Tianlu shook his head. "No, his subordinates might use those methods, but the Night Emperor mostly uses methods that kill without shedding blood."

"What kind of methods are those?"

Master Tianluo gazed towards the direction of Great Xia and slowly uttered two words: "Virus!"
