"Halt, outsider!"

The cold, sharp shout was like an icicle piercing the air, carrying an undeniable authority.

Junheng and Karl stopped in their tracks and slowly turned around.

Three figures slowly emerged from the shadows of the street.

The leader was a middle-aged man wearing a dark gray cloak with silver wind-patterned runes embroidered along the edges, which gleamed faintly in the dim light.

His face was stern, with high cheekbones and a pair of gray eyes as sharp as a hawk's, coldly scrutinizing Jun Heng and Karl.

Behind him stood two young people, a man and a woman, both dressed in gray cloaks.

The man was in his early twenties, with a handsome face, but his eyes held a composure beyond his years.

The woman looked to be eighteen or nineteen years old, with neat short hair and a heroic air about her.

The three stood in a row, their gazes sharp as knives, locking Jun Heng and Karl in place.

"This is the City of Fury, and outsiders are not allowed to enter."

The middle-aged man at the head of the group spoke, his voice low and cold, like the winter wind.

Karl grinned at the newcomer, a sly glint in his cloudy old eyes.

"Hehe, sir, we are travelers who strayed into this place by mistake and were swept here by that raging wind dragon."

"I was lucky to survive and ended up in this precious land."

"We hope that you will do us a favor and allow us to rest here for a few days until we have recovered our strength, after which we will leave on our own."

Upon hearing this, the middle-aged man narrowed his gray eyes slightly, his gaze sweeping back and forth between Karl and Jun Heng.

He clearly did not believe Carl's explanation.

Accidental entry?

The raging tornadoes of the Riftwind Plains are something that even level 80 experts dare not easily touch.

It's simply unbelievable that two ordinary travelers could survive a raging tornado.

"Who exactly are you people?"

The middle-aged man's voice grew even colder, and his hand was already on the hilt of the knife at his waist.

"I'll ask you one more time, what is your purpose in entering Stormrage City?!"

Jun Heng stood beside Karl without saying a word.

The middle-aged man in front of me is level 70.

The two young men behind him were also around level 50.

Such a lineup would be considered an elite team by outside standards.

But in Stormrage, they seem to be just patrolling guards.

"My lord, we have indeed wandered into this place by mistake."

Karl continued to smile, his withered fingers waving repeatedly in front of him.

The middle-aged man's hand was already on the hilt of his knife, and the two young men behind him tensed up as well, creating a tense atmosphere in the air.

"This is your last chance." The middle-aged man's voice was as cold as ice.

"State your true purpose, or else..."

He didn't finish speaking, but the hand on the hilt of the knife had already exerted a little force, and a crisp metallic scraping sound came from between the scabbard and the hilt.

Karl's smile remained, but a hint of seriousness flashed in his cloudy old eyes.

He quietly took half a step closer to Jun Heng and lowered his voice.

"Young man, the guards of Stormwind City are not like the good-for-nothings outside, perhaps..."

Before he could finish speaking, Jun Heng had already taken a step forward.

This step was very light, yet it drew everyone's attention to him.

Our goal is simple.

"May I borrow your star map teleportation array?"

Upon hearing this, the expressions of the three guards opposite him immediately changed.

The gray-robed middle-aged man at the head of the group suddenly narrowed his gray eyes, a sharp, cold glint flashing deep in his pupils.

He suddenly exerted force on the hilt of the knife, and the blade was drawn three inches from its sheath, revealing a section of the blade that gleamed coldly.

"A star map teleportation array?"

His voice grew even colder: "That's a taboo in the City of Fury, no outsider is allowed to tamper with it!"

"So you really did come for that thing!"

Before he finished speaking, the two young men behind him simultaneously drew their weapons.

The young man now held a long sword that gleamed with a bluish light, while the young woman drew a pair of short daggers from her waist, the blades swirling with pale blue wind patterns.

The air was thick with tension, as if a bloody battle was about to erupt at any moment.

Karl's smile stiffened slightly. He quietly took half a step closer to Jun Heng and lowered his voice.

"Young man, you're being so blunt; they might really think we're bad guys..."

Jun Heng ignored Karl's worries and simply looked calmly at the middle-aged man in the gray robe.

The sun mark between his eyebrows suddenly lit up.

Golden light, like the rising sun, spread from between his brows, enveloping him in a warm and sacred glow.

The light wasn't dazzling, but it carried a terrifying majesty, as if a miniature sun was awakening within him.

The middle-aged man in the gray robe's pupils contracted sharply, and his hand on the hilt of the knife involuntarily loosened.

The two young men behind him were stunned, and their weapons involuntarily dropped to their sides.

"This is... the mark of the sun?!"

"You're the agent of the Sun God?!"

Jun Heng nodded, then looked at the middle-aged man and asked.

"Are you ancient people who had connections with deities?"

Upon hearing this, the gray-robed middle-aged man's pupils constricted sharply.

The two young men behind him also changed their expressions drastically and looked at each other in bewilderment.

Silence spread through the streets, with only the faint sound of the wind howling in the distance.

After a long while, the middle-aged man in the gray robe slowly released his hand from the hilt of the knife, a complex expression flashing in his gray eyes.

"The Sun's Mark... how many years has it been since we've seen a representative of the gods?"

His voice was no longer cold, but carried an indescribable sense of vicissitude and weariness.

"What's your name?"

"King's Landing".

"Junlin..." The middle-aged man in the gray robe repeated the name, then slowly removed his hood.

He revealed a weathered face, around forty years old, with high cheekbones and short stubble on his chin.

Most striking was the faint silver mark on his forehead.

Its shape resembles an abstract compass, faintly emitting a dim light.

"I am Gray, the captain of the Stormrage City Guard."

He paused, his gaze sweeping between Jun Heng and Karl.

"You guessed right, we are indeed descendants of ancient people who are related to the gods."

"Or rather..."

He gave a bitter laugh: "We are the abandoned ones."

Upon hearing this, a glint of light flashed in Karl's cloudy old eyes. He leaned forward and rubbed his hands together.

"Lord Gray, what about this star map teleportation array...?"

Gray raised his hand to interrupt him, his gaze returning to Jun Heng.

"The Star Map Teleportation Array is a secret that our race has guarded for ten thousand years."

"Outsiders are not allowed to interfere; this is an ironclad rule."

"But since you bear the mark of the sun, you are no outsider."

He turned around and gestured for him to enter.

"Come with me, I'll take you to see the Queen."

"Her Majesty the Queen will decide whether to reveal the secrets of the Star Chart Teleportation Array to you."

Junheng and Carl exchanged a glance, then Junheng followed in Gray's footsteps.
