As soon as Alger finished speaking, Audrey could no longer contain herself.

She had just finalized a deal for a potion recipe from the audience pathway to Sequence Nine, and was on a delicate point of excitement.

It was her inherent aristocratic manners and reserve that made her appear relatively calm at this moment.

The silent towering figure before her was the only way she could safely obtain extraordinary equipment while bypassing the church system.

She carefully chose her words, her voice brimming with barely suppressed fervor.

"Mr. Tower, I would like to commission you to create an extraordinary item."

Seeing that Chen Chen was looking at her, and confirming that Gao Ta didn't intend to interrupt, she continued speaking.

"I want a pair of glasses. They can enhance my ability to observe through the audience's perspective, helping me to more accurately capture micro-expressions and body language."

This idea had been running through her mind for a while.

The core ability of an audience is observation. If there were a special item to aid in observation...

Moreover, she had already pictured the glasses in her mind: gold-rimmed, exquisite and elegant, they wouldn't ruin any outfit when worn on the bridge of her nose, and might even become a new embellishment.

Chen Chen looked at Audrey, his expression blurred by the gray mist.

"As a newcomer who has just entered the extraordinary path, Miss Justice is in the low-sequence stage of the audience path, and her self-protection ability is relatively weak."

Audrey blinked.

"A pair of glasses that only enhances observation skills can indeed make Miss Justice see more clearly. But if what she sees is danger, and she doesn't have the means to deal with it, seeing more clearly will only make her more nervous."

The fervor in Audrey's eyes faded slightly.

He pursed his lips slightly and remained silent.

She thought Mr. Tower was refusing the commission, which sounded like a polite way of declining, somewhat similar to the wording her father used when refusing certain business collaborations.

Chen Chen's lips curled up slightly as he changed the subject.

"I can add some self-defense capabilities to the glasses that already enhance the audience experience. This will give Miss Justice at least one trump card when facing threats from low-sequence extraordinary beings."

"It will cost more, I don't know if Miss Justice can accept this change."

Audrey paused for a moment.

She realized that Mr. Tower was considering things she hadn't thought of.

If you've only met someone for the first time and exchanged a few words with them, you can accept their commission, do what they ask, and collect payment without having to worry about their personal safety.

Audrey lifted her skirt slightly, maintaining her curtsy in the gray fog projection.

"Thank you, Mr. Tower."

Klein, who had been silently observing from the sidelines, took in this scene.

The tower was more tactful than he had expected.

By considering the client's needs while conducting business, one can build a reliable reputation within the High Tarot community.

As a fool, in order to maintain one's pretentious image, one can only listen without showing any emotion.

But if I collect the right materials in the future, I might be able to get something that can save my life through this channel.

Alger's reaction was more direct.

His face remained expressionless, but his hands were already clenched tightly under the table.

envious.

Those who spend years at sea know all too well how rare extraordinary items are among wild extraordinary beings.

The more self-protection tools you have, the better. A defensive supernatural item could be a lifesaver in an accident at sea.

But Miss Justice's wealth is beyond his reach. Given his current position in the Storm Church, he cannot produce gold pounds that can rival those of a noble lady.

He silently withdrew his gaze.

However, Mr. Tower did not make a definitive statement earlier.

The tower only stated that it would decide whether to accept a commission based on the difficulty and material costs, without specifying that payment must be in gold pounds.

We have the intelligence and rare materials ourselves.

Perhaps it can be used as a bargaining chip in the future.

After her initial joy, Audrey quickly regained her composure as a noblewoman, and her tone became calm.

"Mr. Tower, how much do these glasses cost?"

Negotiating the price before undertaking a commission is a consistent business principle of the Hall family.

Even when facing a mysterious and powerful figure, she didn't forget, and suddenly, as if remembering something, she added a question.

"If these glasses are to be used beyond Sequence 8, should we reserve space for future upgrades?"

Chen Chen's answer once again surprised her.

"It is recommended to only consider using Sequence 8 for the time being."

"The audience's low-sequence abilities are still in a period of rapid growth. Over-reliance on the assistance of supernatural items from the beginning can easily lead to dependence on glasses, which slows down the natural growth of their own abilities."

"Use these glasses for now during the transition from Sequence Nine to Sequence Eight. Once Miss Justice successfully advances to Sequence Eight, she can upgrade the glasses if needed. By then, Miss Justice will have a deeper understanding of her own abilities and be able to more accurately determine what kind of auxiliary functions she needs."

Alger couldn't help but glance at the tower again.

This logic is unlike that of a craftsman.

Typical generalist craftsmen don't care about your growth pace or dependency issues; this way of thinking is more like an experienced extraordinary person guiding a newcomer.

This person has likely mentored newcomers before, and at least has accumulated sufficient experience in the extraordinary world.

Audrey thought about it carefully.

Mr. Tower's suggestion was reasonable, and she agreed to the plan of first completing Sequence Eight.

The specific requirements for the glasses were finalized: to enhance the viewer's observational acuity while also providing a basic defensive function that could automatically trigger a low-intensity protection when encountering a direct threat.

Mr. Tower was in charge of all the materials and refining.

"The total price is two thousand gold pounds."

Audrey didn't even blink.

Two thousand pounds is a huge sum of money for ordinary people.

But for Audrey, this was only a small part of her personal allowance.

The discussions on payment methods and delivery time went very smoothly.

Audrey paid half as a deposit at the next party, and the balance was due when the glasses were delivered.

Delivery will be made by mail, with Mr. Fool acting as an intermediary for the specific address and recipient information. No information that could reveal one's true identity will be exchanged directly at the High Tarot meeting.

The deal is finalized.

Klein, posing as the Fool, reconfirmed the meeting time.

"Every Monday at 3 PM. Spend as much time alone as possible, waiting for the call."

His gaze swept over the three projections around the long table in turn.

Justice. A noblewoman, a newcomer to the audience, innocent but not naive. The first substantial customer of the High Tarot Club.

The Hanged Man. A mid-level member of the Church of Storms, a man of deep thoughts, possessing both the Sailor's and the Audience's potion recipes, and currently the member with the widest range of information sources. The High Tarot Society's primary intelligence supplier.

The tower. The owner of this blue-gold star, capable of accepting commissions for custom-made extraordinary items, is most likely a Creation-type powerhouse of Sequence Six or higher in the Common Knowledge path. At the very first gathering today, they secured a commission order worth two thousand gold pounds.

"This concludes our first gathering."
