Our family has been rebelling for generations, and you've become the top scholar in the imperia

Much later.

The Prefectural Government Office of Qinzhou Prefecture.

The foremen in charge of repairing the house all rushed to the back office.

The officials were calling urgently, but they didn't know what had happened. However, recently everyone had been discussing building a house.

It was a reward given to a few ordinary people who won the house in a lottery.

It has to be said that these people were really lucky. They were the foremen who built houses, so they naturally knew very well how good the quality of the houses awarded by the government was.

It's better than some of the houses owned by wealthy families in the city.

Although it's small, it's not very big.

However, the interior design is very elaborate, supposedly the work of Lord Qin. Not only that, all the furniture inside will be made and installed, including the stove.

Has anyone ever seen a house like this?

There is a yard in front of the gate, and another yard in the back.

"Greetings, Lord Qin!"

Upon seeing Qin Feng enter, everyone quickly stood up and bowed.

"No need for formalities. I've called you all here today to ask about the house. We're not going to build it in the current location. We need to find a different place. We only have one requirement: the site needs to be on higher ground."

These words were spoken.

The foremen looked at each other, all somewhat confused about Qin Feng's meaning.

Is the terrain higher?

It should be noted that Qinzhou Prefecture is a plain with very few high-altitude areas. Moreover, building houses in such a place would significantly increase costs, as transporting materials would be a problem.

"Sir, there are indeed high-altitude locations, but the cost is quite high. Nowadays, the silver needed to build a house would be insufficient if it were located on higher ground!"

"I understand this; it's not a problem. First, tell me where it is."

Qin Feng continued to ask.

First, find a location and plan out the overall layout of the houses; of course, it's impossible for all the houses to be here.

but……

Now that we're setting an example, we have to do it well.

At the very least, the surrounding scenery should be good.

The specifications must be high.

It will be easy to sell in the future.

"The area around Liyuan Slope is on higher ground, but it's mostly pear trees. If the adults are willing, this place would be suitable for building a house, as it's relatively flat!"

"The location isn't small, but transporting materials up there is quite troublesome, as there are several steep slopes to climb!"

"Beiyuan is also an option. It's a large place, and getting up there isn't too difficult. The only downside is that it's short of water, so getting water can be a bit difficult."

"..."

The foremen lowered their heads and thought for a moment, then hurriedly suggested a few locations.

All of these locations are suitable for building houses.

but……

If the houses awarded to ordinary people were located here, no one would go there.

There are no other houses nearby. Of the three families who have won the houses, how could they possibly want to live in this place?

"Both locations are suitable. Tomorrow, I will take the craftsmen to take a look, and I will also go in person to see how large the locations are and how many houses can be built."

Speaking of it.

Qin Feng glanced at the group and said in a deep voice:

"The blueprints for the houses we've built so far will need to be revised. We'll be adding blueprints for many other houses. You foremen need to learn them as quickly as possible. If houses can be built in these two locations, many more may be built in the future, so we'll need to increase our manpower. Wages are not a problem; like the snow removal team, meals will be provided..."

"Come to the yamen early tomorrow morning and wait for me. Let's go take a look at these two places together!"

"that's all!"

After saying that.

Qin Feng ordered his men to see the foremen off, and then returned to his study to begin drawing some house plans.

It's just a simple design; he doesn't understand its internal structure.

but.

As long as it has a basic shape, the other craftsmen will fill in the gaps.

These are not problems.

"Hopefully, we can build a lot of houses. Given enough time, with a large population living here in the future, it might be able to handle some issues. The high terrain means it's easy to defend and difficult to attack, so we should prepare early!"

He muttered something under his breath.

Qin Feng continued drawing blueprints with his head down. It was just that the current technology was not good enough; otherwise, if they could all be built into two-story buildings, it would be much more convenient.

Unfortunately, steel bars are impossible to produce, and the foundation cannot be driven that deep.

The best solution is still a regular house with a yard.

If we could design something like steel reinforcement...

"Forget it, I'm overthinking it. If we could make something like that, the weapons would be much more powerful. By the way, could we secretly build a weapon-making workshop? It's a bit risky, but..."

The study light stayed on all night.

The cook glanced at her anxiously from outside.

Lord Qin was very busy tonight; he didn't even have a late-night snack.

……

The next morning.

On the northern wall, a dozen kilometers from the prefectural city.

Qin Feng and his group got off the carriage and walked up on foot.

The location is very large.

It is quite large, but transportation is indeed a problem if you want to build houses there.

As for water shortage, that's also a problem; drilling a well here would be quite difficult.

"The location is quite suitable; you can see Qinzhou Prefecture from here. Let's take a look at the area first, and circle a suitable section!"

on the road.

Qin Feng kept observing the location.

There are many suitable places to build houses.

but.

For now, all he needs to do is mark out a section of land and build a few houses. As for what happens next, he still needs to talk to the wealthy families in the city, especially the Li family.

According to his thinking, would it be possible to sell the house this way?

"Sir, digging a well is not a problem. There are elders in the village who have done it before to irrigate the fields. It's just that it takes a lot of time and the well needs to be very deep."

"Then there's no problem."

Qin Feng nodded.

Arriving at a spot near the edge, I took a quick look and thought it was a good location.

He immediately said:

"Measure this area, make it as large as possible. There are quite a few houses to be built this time, so get the workshops up and running as soon as possible. The government will take care of the funding!"

Done.

Several foremen, along with their craftsmen, began surveying the land, but none of them could quite understand what was going on.

There are plenty of places to build houses near the city.

Why go to such a far place? Besides, it's really inconvenient to transport materials here.

We need a lot of manpower. We need to pay everyone and provide them with meals. How much silver will the government have to spend?

"Hurry up and take the measurements. The adults may have other ideas. I think this place is quite nice. It's quiet here, and you can see Qinzhou Prefecture City as soon as you step out. However, if you want to farm, that would be troublesome. Crops can't survive in this place."

One of the foremen sighed.

He urged everyone to get to work quickly.

the other side.

Qin Feng was explaining to Li Wan what installment purchases and pre-sales were.

I want to hear what this girl thinks, and see if the people would be willing to do it this way.

to be frank.

After listening to Qin Feng's idea.

Li Wan was completely bewildered.

It's just an empty lot, no houses have been built yet, and now they want to sell it?

Can ordinary people buy them?

Moreover, ordinary people don't have any extra silver these days. If they really want to buy something, it's usually a wealthy family in the city that makes the purchase.

You can stay here...

Is there really anyone willing to do this?

Li Wan was very suspicious. She felt that if Qin Feng built houses here, let alone sell them, even the few people who won the lottery for houses probably wouldn't want to come and live here.
