Nick Fury glared at Natasha, his one eye practically bulging out of its socket: "Did you fucking fall from the sky?"

Natasha dusted off the metal fragments from her clothes, her face expressionless: "Strictly speaking, it was thrown here by a priest with a snap of his fingers."

Nick Fury's lips twitched: "Fuck."

He took a deep breath: "You mean, Father Shen Jue snapped his fingers, and you flew hundreds of kilometers and crashed through the deck of my aircraft carrier?"

"I didn't even have time to blink." Natasha raised her grey-blue eyes, which still held a trace of horror.

Nick Fury slammed his fist on the control panel: "This means he discovered us a long time ago. All our surveillance, analysis, and disguises were a joke to him."

"He invited me to join his side," Natasha said.

"Which faction? Love and Peace?"

"Yes, he said he wanted the world to be filled with love and peace."

Nick Fury opened his mouth: "This is fucking more difficult than Hydra."

He paced back and forth in frustration: "A priest who can control people with his mind and throw them around like cannonballs with a snap of his fingers?"

"Is he an alien or a mutant?"

Natasha sighed. "At least he's not hostile at the moment."

"No hostility? You almost turned into a human missile!"

Natasha looked down at her tattered coat: "I look more like a piece of chewed gum now."

Nick Fury ignored her joke: "I need to know the limits of his abilities."

"He can hear our communications, see through your disguise, and dump you here in an instant."

"If he wanted to kill us, we might not even have had time to sound the alarm."

Natasha's eyes flickered with a strange light: "He doesn't want to kill us; he wants us to join him."

Nick Fury scoffed, "Joining a priest's church of love and peace? That sounds worse than a S.H.I.E.L.D. recruitment bot."

But after laughing, his expression became even more serious: "Natasha, you've been in close contact with him. Is he a human, or something else?"

Natasha was silent for a moment before saying, "I don't know. He gives me the feeling of standing next to a smiling volcano. You never know whether it will erupt or continue smiling."

Nick Fury rubbed his temples. "Fuck, I hate this kind of uncategorizable stuff."

"Aliens at least have spaceships, mutants at least have the X-gene, what does this guy have? A snap of his fingers?"

Nick Fury took another deep breath and said, "Now we have three questions."

"First, what are the types and limits of Father Shen Jue's abilities? Second, what is his true purpose? Third, how can we avoid being used as a golf ball before our next meeting?"

Natasha couldn't help but laugh: "At least he treated me like a bowling ball and hit a strike."

Nick Fury didn't laugh: "This isn't funny, Natasha. My carrier maintenance bills are giving me enough headaches already."

Nick Fury walked to the control panel and pulled up a surveillance video.

"We intercepted this video before you approached him."

The holographic screen lights up, showing an ordinary New York coffee shop.

Natasha saw Shen Jue.

He sat by the window with a cup of coffee in front of him, looking relaxed, as if he were waiting for someone.

A purple-skinned man in a suit walked in.

"Kilgrave." Natasha recognized the man, her tone suddenly turning cold.

Natasha naturally knew about the Purple Man, a notorious supervillain who took pleasure in torturing others.

Nick Fury nodded: "The Purple Man, a mind controller. This mutant can control others through pheromones emitted from his skin."

"Unfortunately, this purple-haired person chose the wrong target to provoke."

In the picture, the purple man shows his signature confident smile.

The customers in the café had vacant eyes and smiling faces, while the waiters stood motionless.

Natasha frowned.

But Shen Jue simply picked up his coffee, took a small sip, and didn't even look directly at Zi Ren.

Then, Shen Jue's figure blurred for a moment in the surveillance footage, and he had already grabbed the purple man's head with one hand.

After a brief conversation, the purple man's body began to contort.

Natasha instinctively held her breath.

In the scene, the purple man's bones make a teeth-grinding cracking sound, his muscles seem to be repeatedly kneaded by an unseen hand, and his skin has an abnormal yellow color.

A few seconds later, the purple man disappeared.

A creamy-yellow humanoid creature appeared where he had been standing.

The thing lay quietly on the ground, its skin so smooth it reflected light.

Natasha stared at the screen, her face pale.

"What is that?"

Nick Fury's voice was a little strained: "Shen Jue calls it a milk frog."

"Normally, just seeing it would trigger a strong uncanny valley effect in normal humans."

"Even I felt slightly uncomfortable after staring at it for ten seconds."

"This thing could not possibly be an Earth creature."

Natasha unconsciously took a half step back.

The baby frog left the cafe.

The surveillance camera then switched perspectives, and the frog suddenly sprayed white spider silk from its wrist, swinging through the air like Spider-Man as it left.

The surveillance video playback has ended.

The command room was silent for a few seconds.

Natasha's voice was a little hoarse: "He turned a mind controller into that kind of thing?"

Nick Fury turned off the screen: "Yes."

"Kilgrave the Purple Man has vanished from the face of the earth."

"Only newly born baby frogs, suspected of having incorporated Spider-Man genes, are active in New York City."

"This thing even stopped a robbery!"

Natasha took a deep breath.

"Therefore, Father Shen Jue is more than just a mind controller."

"He can even rewrite biological structures."

Nick Fury's one eye stared straight at her.

"This goes beyond the realm of mutants."

"It also goes beyond the scope of extraterrestrials."

"This looks like God sculpted a little animal while drinking coffee!"

Natasha remained silent for a long while.

"He went easy on me just now."

Nick Fury nodded: "Yes."

"He could easily turn you into a Black Widow Frog and then snap his fingers back onto my deck."

Natasha's lips twitched.

"Please stop using the term 'black widow frog'."

Nick Fury slammed his fist on the control panel again.

The holographic screen had been turned off, but the image of that slick, nauseatingly smooth baby frog seemed to still linger in the air.

The cold light from the command room shone on his dark face, making his single eye look like a piece of steel that had been tempered.

"Natasha," he suddenly spoke, his voice barely audible, "we need more powerful weapons."

Natasha looked up.

"To address these growing threats."

Fury turned around and stared straight at her with his one eye.

"Whether it's Hulk or that Rubik's Cube."

Natasha nodded slightly. She understood that once Nick Fury made this decision, all she could do was try her best to help Nick achieve his goal.

In these turbulent times, Natasha could only sigh in her heart.

But Shen Jue's words were like a sharp knife piercing her heart.

This reminded Natasha of her homeland, which had become a ghost.

On the other side, Shen Jue arrived at the flashy Stark Tower.

On the electronic screens atop the building, the famous scene of Tony Stark declaring, "I am Iron Man," is playing.

Shen Jue revealed a mysterious smile.
