Chapter 390 The Guardians of Asgard, Meowth's Hammer Arrives at the Scene

Shen Jue waved his hand, and Fatty, Niu Lai, and Milk Frog immediately stepped aside and whispered to Spider-Man Peter Parker.

Steve stepped forward, looked down at Loki curled up like a shrimp on the ground, remained silent for a moment, hung his shield back on his back, bent down and hoisted the Asgardian prince onto his shoulder.

"I'll lock him in a S.H.I.E.L.D. isolation chamber," Steve said, his tone carrying a sense of helplessness that even he himself didn't realize.

Shen Jue nodded without saying anything more.

Just as Steve turned around, Shen Jue slightly turned her head, her gaze passing over the crowd in the square and looking into the depths of the night sky.

His lips did not move, but a very subtle thought had already pierced through the clouds, through the atmosphere, and through that silent abyss that humans call space.

At the head of the Rainbow Bridge, Heimdall shuddered.

The guardian sword in his hand trembled slightly, a resonance that only he could perceive.

"Guardians of Asgard." Shen Jue's voice echoed in his consciousness.

Heimdall did not respond, but his gaze had already pierced through the barrier of the Nine Realms and landed on Shen Jue, who was wearing a black priest's robe.

He saw the Mind Scepter in Shen Jue's hand, and the gem on the scepter that emitted a faint blue light.

He also saw the three yellow creatures behind Shen Jue, as well as Loki being carried away on the ground.

"Unknown deities," Heimdall finally spoke, his voice echoing in Shen Jue's consciousness.

"Please forgive Prince Loki's impetuousness, but Odin, the King of the Gods, is not currently conscious in the Nine Realms."

"Please wait a little longer for the return of the God-King."

Haidamur used Old English, spoken in an tone reminiscent of chanting mythological epics.

"I don't care about Odin's return," Shen Jue replied calmly.

"I will not take Loki's life."

"Odin's son needs to grow up, and you know that better than I do."

"I will give Loki a memorable first impression."

Heimdall was silent for a moment.

He sensed an extremely contradictory aura emanating from Shen Jue.

It is neither purely good nor purely evil, but a complex mixture of good and evil.

Shen Jue reminded Heimdall of the ancient wills that existed since the beginning of the universe.

"What do you need?" Heimdall asked.

"Magic," Shen Jue said. "I'm very interested in Asgardian technology."

"In exchange, I will help Loki grow up as quickly as possible."

"You will also get a complete, lively, grown-up Loki."

Heimdall's brow twitched slightly.

"As the guardian of Asgard, I cannot grant your request."

"Ha." Shen Jue's voice carried a hint of laughter.

"You need to understand one thing."

"Heimdall".

"The prince of Asgard came to Earth and declared that he would rule over mankind."

"The so-called god stood before a group of terrified humans, holding a scepter, like a spoiled child throwing toys."

"This is a diplomatic dispute."

"You wouldn't want Loki to be detained on Earth indefinitely, or sentenced to death, would you?"

Heimdall fell silent again.

His golden eyes gazed at Shen Jue as if scrutinizing a distant star.

Heimdall observed Loki's entire journey to Earth via the Bifrost.

He truly couldn't see through Shen Jue's strength, especially the abilities Shen Jue displayed when he took the Mind Scepter.

Faced with an enemy at least on par with the god-king Odin, Heimdall wisely chose to follow his heart.

Heimdall said slowly, "Asgard will certainly fulfill your request."

A smile appeared on Shen Jue's lips as he followed Steve and the other two to the S.H.I.E.L.D. aircraft carrier.

The Xavier trio did the same, but Peter Parker and the three yellow creatures of the Blackwatch left directly.

For Parker and his team, tonight was simply another successful arrest of a kidnapper.

Steve and the others, however, knew all too well the trouble Loki had caused.

As Steve carried Loki into the aircraft carrier's command center, Nick Fury emerged from the shadows.

The one-eyed creature lingered on Loki's curled-up body for a moment before turning to the man in the black priest's robe next to Steve.

Fury had seen more than one of Shen Jue's photos.

The archives of S.H.I.E.L.D. contain enough information about this person to build a library.

But photos and real people are two different things. Shen Jue actually followed Steve and the others onto the aircraft carrier.

Fury clenched his fist at his side, then released it. He stepped forward and cleared his throat.

"Father Shen Jue..."

Before he could finish speaking, a loud bang like metal being torn apart came from above everyone's heads.

Then came a series of cracking and snapping sounds.

A figure crackling with blue and white electric arcs smashed through the three alloy decks of the aircraft carrier at an almost vertical angle, landing with a thud in the center of the crowd, accompanied by molten metal fragments and the smell of burning.

A shallow crater was smashed into the command room, and cracks spread out like a spider web.

After the smoke and dust cleared, a tall figure stood up from the pit.

The newcomer was a full head taller than everyone present except Shen Jue. His long golden hair was draped over his shoulder armor, and his red cloak had several scorch marks from the electric arcs, but his angular face was completely unharmed.

He was dressed in silver-gray Asgardian armor, and held a short-handled warhammer in his right hand, the hammerhead still crackling with residual electricity.

That's Thor, the big muscle man.

The eldest son of Odin, the king of Asgard, the god of thunder, and the heir to the throne of Asgard.

His body density is hundreds of times that of ordinary people. He is completely immune to viruses, radiation, poison gas, and most Earth weapons. He can withstand temperatures of 9,000 degrees Fahrenheit and extreme cold below absolute zero. He can even easily resist magical attacks.

As the chief warrior of Asgard, Thor has an exceptionally rich combat experience.

Mjolnir, Thor's hammer, is forged from Uru metal. It can summon lightning, grants him the ability to fly when spinning, and when thrown, it returns to his hand like a boomerang, destroying everything in its path.

Thor's gaze swept across the crowd on the deck, finally settling on the huddled figure on Steve's shoulder.

Loki's hair was disheveled and stuck to his forehead, his left eye socket was swollen and purple, there was a crack at the corner of his mouth, and his nose was crooked to one side. His face, which always wore a mocking smile, now looked like a crumpled and barely unfolded piece of paper.

His hands were bound behind his back by Steve using a leather belt that ripped off Loki's own body; his robe was torn in several places and covered in dust.

Thor was silent for two seconds, then he burst out laughing.
