Chapter 415 The Captain of Patience, the Scapegoat Arrives

The captains of the Gotei 13 have all arrived.

Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni sat upright in the head seat, leaning on a cane. His white beard hung down to his chest, and his half-closed eyes revealed no emotion.

But the slow, deliberate tapping of his right index finger on the cane deepened the atmosphere in the entire hall.

Kyoraku Shunsui hasn't returned yet, but the news has already reached him.

"Shen Jue, the captain of the 10th Division, along with Hueco Mundo Arrancars, defected Hollowfied Shinigami, and a former captain of the 10th Division, is heading to Seireitei."

These were the exact words read aloud by the trembling messenger of the Fourth Division.

There was a brief, deathly silence in the hall.

Then, the captain of the 7th Division, Komamura Sajin, took a step forward.

His enormous dog head drooped slightly, his eyes under the straw hat were fixed on the direction of the hall entrance, his furry ears stood straight up, and a very low, suppressed whimper came from his throat.

"Captain Shen Jue..."

He murmured the name softly, his voice hoarse, carrying an indescribable, complex emotion.

Komamura Sajin clenched his fists. He had known Shen Jue for many years.

Shen Jue was his senior, and also a role model who changed Soul Society and made it more stable and peaceful.

But Shen Jue's actions now seem to be a coercion of the Captain-General and a blatant attempt to undermine the authority of the 13th Guardian Division.

Yamamoto did not appease Komamura, and Kuchiki Byakuya was also absent.

He returned with Shen Jue's group. However, the Kuchiki family's retainers had already delivered the news in advance.

Standing in the position of the Sixth Division at this moment is the vice-captain of the Kuchiki family.

Soi Fon was not here, but her executioners had already spread intelligence throughout the entire Seireitei.

Second Division Vice-Captain Ōmaeda Kichiyo stood in the ranks, sweating profusely, but dared not utter a single word.

"Indigo dyeing".

Yamamoto finally spoke, his voice like muffled thunder.

On the side of the hall, in an inconspicuous spot, Aizen Sousuke raised his head.

He wore glasses, had a gentle smile, and looked like a refined scholar. His brown hair was neatly combed, without a single stray hair.

"Captain."

"You know Shen Jue's character."

Aizen smiled slightly and adjusted his glasses.

"He never does anything without preparation."

"I also know some of the relevant information. But Captain Shen Jue's actions are always unpredictable. What I know may not be comprehensive."

Yamamoto gave up asking further questions, his aged eyes reflecting the tightly closed door at the end of the hall.

"Shen Jue is the King of Hueco Mundo."

"He is also connected to the missing head of the Shiba family."

"He possesses more than just the power of death."

With each word he spoke, the air in the hall grew heavier, and Yamamoto finally stopped using his cane.

"Aizen, when did you find out?"

Aizen was silent for a moment, then he bowed slightly.

"It's very early. So early that your subordinates haven't even decided whether they should say it."

Yamamoto stopped looking at him.

At this moment, Komamura Sajin spoke in a low voice.

"Captain."

"I have something I'd like to ask."

Yamamoto glanced sideways.

Komamura Sajin raised the dog's head, his voice steady and deliberate, each word distinct.

"You already knew that Shen Jue possessed other powers?"

Yamamoto remained silent.

Komamura Sajin tucked his ears back. He said nothing more, only turning his gaze back to the gate. The look in his eyes beneath the straw hat was even more somber than before.

Footsteps could be heard in the hallway outside the door.

The sound of footsteps came from more than one person.

First came the orderly, steady steps. The steps of death.

Then came the languid, oppressive atmosphere. It was the aura of the Arrancar.

Then came the chaotic, jarring noise of spiritual energy fluctuations—the Masked Legion.

Finally, there was a relaxed, out-of-place voice, as if someone was arguing with someone.

"Hey, don't worry."

"I know Mr. Yamamoto well."

"With my guarantee, you will definitely not be burned to ashes by a single strike of the Broken Flame Katana."

The door was pushed open.

Shen Jue walked in.

His white haori fluttered behind him as he stepped across the threshold, his expression calm, a slight smile even playing on his lips.

To his left was Yoruichi, and to his right was Haribel.

Behind him was a vast and impressive procession.

Kurosaki Ichigo stood three steps behind him, his hand on the hilt of Zangetsu, his eyes scanning every face in the hall with vigilance.

Zhibo stood relaxed next to his son, and even waved to a few old acquaintances.

Kisuke Urahara pulled down the brim of his hat, hiding in the shadows so his expression couldn't be seen.

Shinji Hirako tilted his head and led the Masked Army in last. After standing still, he crossed his arms and leaned against the wall.

Hiyori Sarugaki next to him rolled her eyes, a lollipop dangling from her mouth, giving him an expression that said, "I'm really going to risk my life for you."

Hiyori Sarugaki joined the group midway through the process.

Kenpachi Zaraki, whose spiritual pressure seal had been released, walked at the very back of the group, carrying his sword, his eyes shining frighteningly bright.

He glanced around at the captains in the hall and grinned.

"Wow, everyone's here."

Hitsugaya Toshiro, one of the men in the group, took a deep breath.

"Captain Kenpachi, could you please stop talking in that fighting tone?"

The Arrancars stood behind Halibel.

Stark yawned, while Barragan stood in the back corner with a cold expression, exuding an aura that kept strangers at bay.

Ulquiorra stood quietly to the side and behind Halibel, his green eyes devoid of any emotion, simply watching Captain-Commander Yamamoto.

Nelielu held up her high-resolution spirit camera and looked around curiously.

"Wow, is this the Grim Reaper's house? It's huge!"

Grimmjow, whose spiritual pressure seal had also been broken, looked around and snorted.

"It's not that great."

Grimmjow.

"Um... Your Majesty, I won't talk nonsense anymore."

Shen Jue stood in the center of the hall.

Before him stood Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni.

Those aged eyes were staring at him intently, like a sword yet to be drawn.

Shen Jue put away his smile and gave Yamamoto a perfect team salute.

However, the white haori made the ceremony look slightly out of place.

"Shen Jue, the captain of the 10th Division."

"Those involved in Hueco Mundo and the real world, come to pay your respects to the Captain-Commander."

Yamamoto did not respond immediately. He slowly glanced at the people behind Shen Jue.

The Hollows, the Shiba family members, Kisuke Urahara, Kenpachi Zaraki, and finally landed back on Shen Jue's face.

"Shen Jue".

Do you know what you're doing?

Shen Jue straightened up and looked at Yamamoto.

"Know."

"Do you know the consequences?"

Shen Juechen smiled slightly and spoke.

"Captain."

"There's something I've been investigating for many years."

"A formidable enemy hidden throughout the Three Realms."

"Yohabach".

A very soft laugh came from a corner of the hall.

That was Retsu Unohana. She sat in her seat, still wearing a gentle smile, but her fingertips curled slightly.

The older, aloof swordsman always felt that Shen Jue was talking nonsense with a straight face.

Komamura Sajin's dog head suddenly rose. The eyes under the straw hat stared intently at Shen Jue, and a low, almost inaudible whimper escaped his throat.

"Yhwabach..."

He repeated the name.

His voice contained shock, anger, and a hint of fear that others couldn't detect.

Yamamoto tapped his cane on the ground again.

"Yhwabach, the founder of the Quincy."

Are you sure?

Shen Jue nodded.

"Sure."

"He is still gathering strength, still waiting."

"But when he makes his move, no one—Soul Society, Hueco Mundo, or the Human World—will be able to escape."

Shen Jue paused.

"So I brought them all with me."

"Because this battle requires the strength of everyone."

Yamamoto nodded slightly and stared at Shen Jue for a while.

Then, his gaze shifted to Aizen, who was standing in the corner.

"Indigo dyeing".

What do you think?

Aizen looked up, adjusted his glasses, and saw Shen Jue's reflection in his brown eyes behind the lenses. Then he smiled.

That gentle smile made Hinamori Momo behind him almost see stars in her eyes.

"Captain."

"In my opinion..."

"What Captain Shen Jue said is worth listening to."

The air in the hall grew even colder.
