Kyoto Night Kiss

Chapter 27 Little 3

The moonlight was obscured by dark clouds, flickering between bright and dim.

Lu Junhe's eyes were deep as he asked, "Why does your heart hurt, hmm?"

Qu Yun had regained her composure, took a step back, and said calmly, "Your hand is injured. You should go to the hospital to get it treated."

Watching her turn to leave, Lu Junhe asked, "Can't you handle this for me?"

"Qu Yun, it hurts so much."

The figure paused, and after a long while said, "Let's go, let's find a pharmacy."

A shard of a wine bottle was embedded in the wound on Lu Junhe's hand. Qu Yun frowned and carefully picked up the shard by getting very close.

She used a cotton ball soaked in iodine to clean the wound.

Lu Junhe stared at the top of her head and whispered, "Can't you blow on it for me?"

"Just like you did with that chubby kid."

Qu Yun was a little unhappy. "Don't always call him 'Little Fatty.' He's just a little chubby."

Qu Yun seemed to relax considerably after mentioning Cheng Chongchong.

She tore at the band-aid and said, "Besides, Cheng Chongchong wants a kiss from me, do you want one too?"

"Yes, I want it."

Lu Junhe answered without hesitation.

He leaned forward slightly, his voice low, hoarse and stubborn, looking directly at Qu Yun: "I can't forget like you say."

"Qu Yun, we didn't have to come to this."

Qu Yun clenched all the trash on the table in her palms. Although her mind was in turmoil, she remained unwavering. "But we've already come this far."

She didn't dare to look up and meet Lu Junhe's gaze, deliberately avoiding his burning eyes at that moment.

"Lu Junhe, it's not that you can't forget me, it's just that you're a little unwilling to accept that you gave so much but didn't receive anything in return."

"People tend to dwell on regrets that weren't fulfilled, so since you don't miss the person I am now, let's end things completely between us."

Lu Junhe opened his mouth, wanting to say something.

Qu Yun's phone rang, and she answered it quickly, pointing the screen at her face.

A man's voice came from the phone: "Yunyun, are you still outside? I checked the weather forecast for Beijing, it's going to rain again tomorrow, remember to bring an umbrella when you go out."

"Thank you, Dr. Cheng, for taking the time to care about me even while you're so busy abroad," Qu Yun replied with a smile.

Everything Lu Junhe wanted to say instantly died in his throat.

Cheng Tongzhou was very talkative, constantly sharing interesting things that had happened in the past few days. Although he saw Qu Yun listening, he always felt that she was absent-minded.

It's as if someone is behind the phone screen, always glancing at it.

Cheng Tongzhou suddenly fell silent, and Qu Yun turned her gaze back to her phone screen.

"Yunyun, I miss you."

Lu Junhe suddenly stood up and walked to the side.

Qu Yun merely gave a slight smile, offering no reply: "I have to go home; Chongchong is waiting for me there."

Cheng Tongzhou nodded gently: "Okay, be careful on the road."

Qu Yun looked at her black-screen phone, the screen reflecting the weariness on her face.

She really was going back, and Lu Junhe wanted to see her off, but she refused.

The two were locked in a stalemate once again.

Lu Junhe: "At least take a taxi back, don't take the bus."

Qu Yun agreed, and there was no turning back.

In order to attend Zhao Yao's wedding on the island, Qu Yun even swapped shifts with a colleague.

When she arrived at the hotel, she found that the lobby, which had been vandalized the day before, had been completely restored, and even the display cases had been replaced with more upscale ones.

I heard that Lu Junhe paid a high amount of compensation.

He also rebooked suite number 8888, with no time limit. He originally wanted to buy it directly, but the hotel didn't have that policy.

When her colleagues saw Qu Yun, they congratulated her in advance on being the top salesperson this month, and possibly even this year.

She said, "Manager Qu, you're amazing. Before Mr. Lu swiped his card, he specifically asked us to attribute all the sales to you."

This matter even alarmed the general manager.

He called Qu Yun into his office, his attitude much better than before, even his tone was more intimate: "Little Qu, why didn't you tell me about your relationship with President Lu earlier?"

"Is he yours...?"

Qu Yun lowered her eyes slightly. "President Jiao, if you don't have anything important to say, I'll go back to work now."

"Yes, yes, you go ahead and get busy. If you have any difficulties at work, feel free to ask me for help anytime."

Qu Yun nodded politely and walked out of the office.

She stood by the door for a while.

In the office, a man's disdainful voice rang out: "Honestly, what's with the attitude?"

"No matter how amazing she is, she's still just a lowly mistress who sold her body to achieve those results..."

VIP customers' rooms are specially decorated.

Qu Yun took a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of rare red wine to suite 8888.

As soon as the door opened, an unexpected woman was sitting on the sofa.

Tang Bingqing seemed to have been waiting for a long time. She put down her crossed legs and slowly walked up to Qu Yun. She looked Qu Yun up and down and said, "You really have some tricks up your sleeve."

"I underestimated you again. You look so gentle and docile, but seven years from now you'll be even more captivating and irresistible."

Qu Yun lowered her eyes slightly, her tone gentle and polite: "Hello, Miss Tang."

Tang Bingqing sniffed near her hair, covered her nose, and said arrogantly, "Do you know why Lu Junhe's mother dislikes you?"

"Your poverty always makes you look so tense, it's really unpleasant to look at."

Qu Yun raised her eyes: "If you need to use the room now, I can come back later."

A cold smile played on Tang Bingqing's lips as she retorted, "Who gave you permission to glare at this hotel's VIP customers?"

Qu Yun lowered her head, and Tang Bingqing scolded again: "Don't you know how to respect customers? You don't even look at the customer when they're speaking."

She was clearly trying to make things difficult for me.

Qu Yun clenched her fists. Her excellent professional ethics compelled her to lower her posture and not overstep the bounds in the slightest.

Tang Bingqing, however, had no intention of letting her off so easily. "This lousy hotel is getting lower and lower. They don't even bother to properly train their employees before releasing them."

"That's true... employees vary from person to person. Some have lost their fathers, and their mothers are mentally ill. How can they be expected to be well-mannered?"

Qu Yun suddenly raised her eyes, the gentleness and humility from before gone, replaced by suppressed anger. She stared intently at Tang Bingqing.

Tang Bingqing: "You actually dare to glare at me?"

Tang Bingqing raised her hand and slapped Qu Yun hard across the face with a resounding thud.

She even shook her hands in the air because she felt her hands were numb from hitting them.

Qu Yun's cheek flushed red instantly, and her ears started ringing.

Her eyes welled up with tears.

Tang Bingqing scoffed, "What's wrong? If you're not happy, you can fight back, but don't forget who the lady of this room is."

Qu Yun swallowed her embarrassment and lowered her posture, speaking politely and calmly: "Ms. Tang, I'm sorry to have upset you. You are a valued VIP customer of our Lanting Hotel."

"It is my pleasure to serve you."
