Kyoto Night Kiss

Chapter 30 Where haven't I seen it?

The sea breeze, carrying a faint salty dampness, swept over her. Qu Yun brushed aside the stray hairs by her ears and walked along the stone path of the dock, dragging a small suitcase.

The warm sunlight fell on my shoulders.

She shed all her usual tension and fatigue, and even her steps became lighter.

The hotel rooms are assigned to floors based on seating capacity, and the number of guests arriving suddenly increased, differing from the previously confirmed guest list.

When Qu Yun arrived, there were only three rooms left: two sea-view rooms and one small and noisy single room.

She bumped into Lu Junhe and Tang Bingqing.

The wedding planner glanced at the three women's attire. The other two were dressed in understated luxury brands, while Qu Yun was wearing the simplest light-colored top and white trousers.

So the housekeeper looked at Qu Yun apologetically, hoping she wouldn't mind.

Qu Yun didn't care that she was assigned to the worst room.

Anyway, it's only for one night's sleep; attending the wedding is the most important thing.

"My fiancé and I can share a room." Tang Bingqing took Lu Junhe's arm and took a room key for a sea-view room from the butler.

She said with a kind and understanding expression, "Miss Qu rarely has the opportunity to come to the island. If you don't stay now, you may never have the chance again."

Lu Junhe silently withdrew his arm.

He didn't look at anyone, and took the room key for the single room.

Qu Yun turned the doorknob of the sea-view room, and the jade ring on her right ring finger gleamed with a warm glow.

The wedding will be held tomorrow.

Qu Yun changed into a mint-colored long dress in her room, casually tied her long hair up, and planned to go out for a stroll.

She had no particular purpose; she kept taking pictures along the way—the wildflowers dotting the crevices of the rocks, the seabirds flapping their wings on the branches.

A faint smile always graced her lips.

Under the shade of a tree not far away, Lu Junhe followed quietly behind Qu Yun at a distance that was neither too close nor too far.

Watch her skirt fall onto the sand when she squats down, watch the soft light in her eyes when she takes pictures of the little creatures, watch her occasionally look up at the sea and see her hair being tousled by the sea breeze.

She also switched to comfortable flat shoes, and her feet no longer hurt.

Sunlight filters through the coconut leaves, casting dappled patterns of light.

The island is now almost entirely filled with people attending a wedding tomorrow. The Zhao family has covered everything, and it's all free.

Qu Yun stopped in front of a retro food cart, tapped the counter lightly with her fingertips, and ordered a glass of freshly squeezed lemonade.

She turned to the side to wait, her gaze idly falling on the people passing by.

Not far away, the sound of several people chatting by two outdoor tables and chairs drifted gently into her ears on the sea breeze.

"I heard that none of the bride's family members came."

"Neither your parents came?"

"Yes, it's really pitiful, I don't know what happened..."

The lemon juice was ready. Qu Yun took it and, without thinking much, tilted her head back and took a big gulp.

The sour taste instantly hit her tongue. She wrinkled her nose, stuck out her tongue, and quickly pursed her lips and breathed out in small breaths. She looked delicate and soft, with a touch of helpless cuteness.

Lu Junhe watched and couldn't help but chuckle softly.

Qu Yun's body stiffened slightly, and she suddenly turned her head.

My gaze passed through the swaying coconut palms and met the man's smiling eyes.

Qu Yun walked over: "Why have you been following me?"

"You're quite narcissistic. I'll walk my own path." Lu Junhe glanced down at the glass of lemonade in the woman's hand and inexplicably wanted to take a sip.

He deliberately asked, "Is this your island?"

Qu Yun retorted, not to be outdone, "Then is that your island?"

Lu Junhe nodded without even putting on an act.

Qu Yun was angry and was about to leave when a tall figure ran towards her. It was Zhao Yao, the groom who was to be married the next day.

Qu Yun suppressed her earlier displeasure and teased with a smile, "Wow, the groom is so handsome!"

Zhao Yao smiled and asked Qu Yun for a favor: to be his bridesmaid.

The bridesmaid was originally supposed to be the bride's niece, but she didn't come and wasn't planning to. Right now, he couldn't find anyone he could trust, so he could only ask Qu Yun for help.

Qu Yun doesn't like to be the center of attention, or to be near the center of attention.

But thinking about what she had just heard, she nodded.

Zhao Yao pointed to the area where bridesmaid dresses were being tried on.

He breathed a sigh of relief, looked up slightly, and found Lu Junhe staring intently at him.

"What's wrong? You've fallen for me?" Zhao Yao asked tentatively. "We might need another best man, how about you..."

Before he could finish speaking, Lu Junhe had already vanished.

Qu Yun took a pure white dress from the staff and walked into the fitting room.

The wind chimes on the door rang softly as Tang Bingqing walked in, took off her sunglasses, and said that she had ordered a lot of milk tea and cakes and placed them outside, inviting everyone to go out and drink.

"It's okay if I leave for a little while, I'll stay here."

Soon, Tang Bingqing was the only one left in the store. She turned her gaze to the fitting room with the curtains drawn.

Just as he was thinking about how to deal with Qu Yun, three or four young men walked in together outside the door. They were probably Zhao Yao's best men, here to try on clothes.

Or we could just let them play with Qu Yun.

Tang Bingqing said that we could try on the best man's clothes here, so she went to get them.

Qu Yun was halfway through putting on her zipper when she realized she couldn't zip it up at the back.

She politely asked in the fitting room, "Excuse me, could someone come in and help me?"

Several minutes passed without any response.

Taking off and putting on a dress is too much trouble. Qu Yun thought that since this was a place for female guests only and no men would come in, she covered her low neckline and prepared to go out to find someone to help her.

Just as her fingertips touched the curtain, a strong, well-defined arm suddenly reached out from outside.

Before she could react, the hand pushed her forward, directly back into the cramped fitting room.

The next second, the owner of the hand came in and tightly pulled the curtain shut.

Lu Junhe's cool and aloof aura enveloped Qu Yun tightly, as if trying to suffocate her every breath, leaving no room for air.

Qu Yun was startled and was about to scream when Lu Junhe's hand covered her lips, his brows furrowing slightly.

Footsteps could be heard outside the fitting room.

The voices of several unfamiliar men gave Qu Yun goosebumps.

"Why are there so many women's skirts here?"

"Sixth brother, try it on."

"Get the hell out of here, wear whatever you like."

"Holy crap, I just saw the sign! This is for women only! Get out of here!"

Qu Yun understood Lu Junhe's intention. After hearing no sound from outside, she pushed away the man's hand that was covering her lips.

Suddenly, she remembered that the zipper on her dress was still undone, and her ears turned red.

Qu Yun panicked and tried to cover her chest with her hands, her voice trembling: "Lu Junhe, you...you turn around right now, don't look."

The man chuckled, put his arm around her waist, and spun her around, pressing her face against the cold wall.

"What are you going to do!" Qu Yunxin was in her throat. Thinking of some unpleasant things, she struggled to run outside.

Lu Junhe narrowed his eyes and slapped her on the butt.

"Be honest, there's part of you I haven't seen."
