The entertainment empire began with Liu Yifei's premarital pregnancy.

"Boss!"

A few minutes later, Bai Bing knocked on the door and came in, followed by Yang Yayun.

"Ya Yun, this is Liu Yifei..."

"Hello, Miss Liu!"

Yang Yayun turned to look at Liu Yifei sitting next to her and nodded with a smile.

Even without reading online news, just by looking at Liu Yifei's intimacy with the boss, you can tell that she is the boss's woman.

She is 37 years old this year and has been working at Global for more than ten years. Because of her Chinese identity, she has never been promoted. It was at this time that a headhunting company found her.

Yang Yayun was initially somewhat resistant to returning to China, which was common in this era, as elites generally aspired to America.

Later, she specifically asked someone to investigate Lin Bufan and Kyoto Entertainment.

The most important reason she was able to return to China and become the vice president of Kyoto Entertainment was Lin Bufan.

Based on her years of experience and insight in Hollywood, she knew that Lin Bufan would rise to prominence sooner or later, and she could take advantage of the fact that he hadn't yet risen to power to get closer to him.

"Next..."

Lin Bufan looked at Yang Yayun and gave her instructions.

"Yes, boss!"

Yang Ya Yun nodded slightly, understanding Lin Bu Fan's meaning, then looked at the two of them: "Company name?"

"Let's call it Crystal Entertainment Company!"

Liu Yifei's English name is Crystal, which means crystal.

Crystal Entertainment is owned 50% each by Lin Bufan and Liu Yifei.

……

After Liu Yifei left, Lin Bufan continued to work on the post-production of "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate".

Lin Bufan already had ideas and visions for this film in mind, so the editing process went very smoothly.

"Oh right, I didn't sign in yesterday..."

Upon entering the editing room, Lin Bufan was about to begin editing the film when he suddenly remembered something.

Yesterday, he was so busy playing with Liu Yifei and the children that he forgot about signing in.

"System, can I make up for the missed signature?"

【Can! 】

[System notification: You can submit a supplementary signature within three days]

"Thankfully, I can get a replacement!"

Lin Bufan breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, it didn't exceed three days, otherwise he would have suffered a huge loss.

Especially yesterday's monthly sign-up, which included a movie script as a reward.

"System, check-in!"

[Ding! Congratulations, host! Daily check-in has been successfully made up. You have received the following rewards: one bottle of Liuwei Emperor Pills (10 pills) + one bottle of Beauty and Nourishing Pills (10 pills) + 100 million US dollars.]

[Ding! Congratulations, host! You have successfully made up for your missed monthly check-in. You have received the following rewards: one bottle of Liuwei Emperor Pills (10 pills) + one bottle of Beauty and Nourishing Pills (10 pills) + 100 million US dollars + a copy of the script for the movie "Insidious 2"]

As soon as the system finished speaking, a movie script appeared in front of Lin Bufan, while the Six-Flavor Emperor Pill and Beauty Elixir were directly stored in the dimensional space.

The US dollars paid upon signing in were directly deposited into Lin Bufan's overseas fund account.

This is what Lin Bufan requires of the system.

Even if the source of the $1 million daily check-in is perfectly legitimate, it's still quite suspicious and raises many questions if it continues every day.

Therefore, he set up a fund account overseas, and all the money he received went into this account, which he could then withdraw in one lump sum when needed.

The source of the funds can also be investigated; it's the money the fund account earned from stocks, and even the stock trading information is available.

"The script for 'Lurking' 2 arrived right after 'Lurking' 1 finished its run in theaters."

Lin Bufan put down the script, thought for a moment, and then took out his phone to call Carter directly.

"I don't care who you are, daring to disturb your Grandpa Carter's sleep, if you don't have a good reason, I'll definitely smash your ass..." Carter's somewhat irritable voice came from the phone.

"It's me!"

"Boss... I'm sorry, Boss, I was just half asleep..."

Upon hearing Lin Bufan's voice, Carter instantly snapped to attention and hurriedly apologized.

"It's alright, I forgot about the time difference too, it should be late at night where you are."

Lin Bufan spoke calmly.

Hearing Lin Bufan say this, Carter breathed a sigh of relief.

"So, as punishment, we're deducting one-third of your year-end bonus. You don't mind, do you?"

"No objection, of course no objection."

Carter quickly expressed his opinion, even if he had objections in his heart, he dared not say them out loud.

Lin Bufan did it on purpose, of course.

Forgetting the time difference was wrong of him, but that's definitely not a reason for him to yell at his boss.

Since one party is based in Los Angeles and the other in China, his control over Extraordinary Pictures is not that strong.

Carter's words just now, if taken seriously, are nothing to worry about.

However, a thousand-mile dike can be destroyed by an ant hole; many great things are accumulated from small things.

This time, Carter unintentionally berated Lin Bufan without any punishment, and next time he will have no sense of awe.

Over time, Lin Bufan became less important to him.

Give him a gentle nudge now and then, but don't go too far. Deducting a third of his year-end bonus will sting him, but won't really hurt him.

Most importantly, let him know that this is the price he paid for his mistake, so that he will naturally respect you more next time.

"I'll have someone send you a copy of the movie script later. Let's get this movie made as soon as possible and try to release it by the end of this year or the first half of next year."

The first "Lurking" film grossed nearly $2 million at the box office, so it was time to strike while the iron was hot and quickly release the movie to rake in the box office revenue.

Lin Bufan had already sent over the film scripts for the Fifty Shades trilogy, and Carter was already assembling the crew, so filming would begin soon.

"Yes, Boss!"

……

When Lin Bufan came out of the company, it was already past nine o'clock at night.

"Old Zhu, what are you doing?"

Lin Bufan took out his phone and called Zhu Yawen directly.

"Just about to go to sleep..."

Zhu Yawen's somewhat sleepy voice came through the phone.

Although he wasn't the male lead in "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate," the experience of filming it was much more difficult than filming "Love is Not Blind."

Since filming wrapped, he has been adjusting his mindset and trying to detach himself from the character.

"Stop sleeping! Get up and party! Same old spot, I'm waiting for you, come have a drink!"

After saying that, Lin Bufan hung up the phone.

Then I drove straight to the food street behind the Beijing Film Academy.

He had vivid memories of this place from his university years. By the time he drove there, it had been almost an hour since he arrived due to traffic.

In comparison, Zhu Yawen arrived more than ten minutes earlier than him.

"Xiao Lin is here, and Xiao Zhu is already here. It's the same private room you usually sit in."

As soon as Lin Bufan entered the barbecue restaurant, Uncle Li greeted him warmly.
