The entertainment empire began with Liu Yifei's premarital pregnancy.

"Xiao Fan, when you see this video, your mother and I are probably busy working..."

The video played, in which Lao Lin briefly described the situation to Lin Bufan.

The message was simple: Mr. and Mrs. Lin told Lin Bufan that their work was very important and they might not be back for a long time. They also expressed their apologies to Lin Bufan in the video.

Over the past twenty years, the amount of time they have spent with Lin Bufan has been limited.

At the end of the video, Lao Lin left Lin Bufan a phone number, saying that if there was anything important that he couldn't solve, he could call this number for help.

However, Lao Lin emphasized to Lin Bufan that he should not make this call unless it was for something important.

"May I know what kind of work Lao Lin does?"

After the video finished playing, Lin Bufan looked at Chen Yang.

Now that things have come to this, even if he's stupid, he knows that his parents are definitely not archaeologists. What archaeologist would disappear so frequently, and in such a way that they can't be found at all?

Most importantly, although there were some archaeology books at home, and they were all very old and looked like they were frequently read, in Lin Bufan's memory, the old Mr. and Mrs. Lin had almost never read these books. Obviously, these books were fake.

"I don't know either!"

Chen Yang shook his head. He was only responsible for sending the video to Lin Bufan. As for other matters, his level of confidentiality was not high enough, so he knew nothing about them.

"All right!"

Lin Bufan shrugged helplessly and looked at the other person: "Then can you tell me whose phone number this is?"

"have no idea!"

Chen Yang shook his head again, completely clueless.

"The video has been delivered. My mission is complete. Goodbye!"

Chen Yang said this and turned to leave.

After the other party left, Lin Bufan sat on the sofa and pondered.

"Forget it, there's no point in thinking about it so much. I'll find out sooner or later."

……

Two days have passed in the blink of an eye.

"Finally finished editing!"

In the company's editing room, Lin Bufan watched the finished edited video once, then leaned back on the sofa and stretched.

Today is June 5th. It's been almost half a month since filming wrapped up, and we've finally finished editing the entire movie, which is 90 minutes long.

After editing, Lin Bufan watched it carefully several times. After confirming that there were no problems, he called Bai Bing over and asked her to submit the film for review.

He can guarantee that this movie will completely surpass the original in terms of both plot and spectacle. The only shortcoming is that the original was a 3D martial arts movie, while his is not.

In reality, the original "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" was touted as a 3D martial arts film, but it was actually just a pseudo-3D film. Only a few scenes were 3D; it was basically just a promotional gimmick.

His version of "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" also has some special effects shots, but during filming, the shots were taken to Hollywood to be produced by a special effects studio.

The special effects shots were completed long before filming wrapped, which is why he was able to finish editing so quickly.

"Yes, boss!"

After Bai Bing left, Lin Bufan immediately notified Liu Meng to take him to China Film Group.

……

"Is the movie finished?"

The moment Han Sanping saw Lin Bufan, he asked directly.

"It's already been submitted for review!"

Lin Bufan said with a smile, looking at Han Sanping: "Chairman Han, what movies are scheduled for release in July?"

"I knew you came for this. Here, take a look!"

As Han Sanping spoke, he tossed a document from the table to Lin Bufan.

From the moment he learned that Lin Bufan was coming, he had already instructed his secretary to prepare the movie schedule.

"Let me see!"

As Lin Bufan spoke, he looked through the movie schedules for July and August to see what movies were being released.

In July, there is a movie called "Xin Jie Kou" which will be released on the 14th. The director of this movie is Xuecun, who is also the lead actor. In addition to him, Zeng Zhiwei is also in the cast.

It was a movie he'd never heard of, and it probably didn't cause much of a stir, posing no threat to him whatsoever.

There's a movie on the 16th called "Forty-Five Suns," which is another little-known film.

Two movies were released on the 18th, namely "The Best Kindness" and "Villager Qian Wang". Judging from the names, even if they are not bad movies, they did not make any waves.

The 25th also features two films, "The Hero of Jingwu Town" and "The Love of Tangbula".

The movie "The True Hero of Fist of Fury" is obviously about Chen Zhen, as you can tell from the title.

Director Lin Bufan was unfamiliar with, or even didn't know, the actors, but he had a deep impression of several of them, including Zhou Bili, Huang Ziyang, and Liu Jiahui, all of whom are veteran actors in the Hong Kong film industry. The one who impressed him the most was Wan Qiwen.

Born in 70, Joey Meng is 36 years old this year. Her appearance may not be very beautiful, but her long legs are really eye-catching, especially in the movie "My Date with a Vampire" where she plays Ma Xiaoling with her long white legs in leather boots.

When Lin Bufan looked at "The Love of Tangbula", especially when he saw the cast list, he clicked his tongue twice in his heart.

The female lead is Dong Jie, a seemingly innocent and pure-looking girl. Who would have thought she would do something so shocking in the future?

When he first heard the news, what he was most curious about was how Dong Jie could bring herself to eat that ugly face.

"What a pity! What a pity..."

Lin Bufan shook his head inwardly, thinking it was a pity that she had such a pure and charming face.

Following that are the three movies scheduled for the 28th: "Dragon Tiger Gate," "Looking at the Mountain," and "Boss Tan." Lin Bufan had never heard of the latter two movies.

Lin Bufan did know about the movie "Dragon Tiger Gate".

However, threats were not within Lin Bufan's consideration at all.

Lin Bufan glanced at the movies in August, and they were a bunch of relatively unknown films. He had never even heard of them, let alone watched them.

"Mr. Han, let's set the movie release date for July 15th!"

July is the summer movie season, and this period can be said to dominate the entire summer movie season, with very high box office potential.

"Can!"

Han Sanping nodded.

In July, the only film released was "Dragon Tiger Gate." China Film Group invested a small amount, but not much. The main controlling party was Hong Kong's Oriental Film Productions. In terms of both investment scale and proportion, China Film Group's share was not large.

……

After the movie's release date was set, the next step was promotion. However, since the film hasn't passed the censorship yet, there's no rush for promotion.

During his free time, Lin Bufan, feeling restless, thought of the movie "Crazy Stone," which his company had invested in. The movie had already started filming quietly in Chongqing, and Chen Zihan was the producer of the film.

"Bai Bing, notify the airline and arrange the next available flight to Chongqing!"

Lin Bufan planned to visit Chen Zihan to see if she was adapting to the work of a producer, and also to check on the set, since Ning Hao was the first director the company had signed.
