The entertainment empire began with Liu Yifei's premarital pregnancy.

The fact that "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" grossed 432 million yuan at midnight truly shocked people in the industry.

In this day and age, let alone a midnight box office of 432 million, countless films have a total box office of no more than that.

When this data came out, major entertainment companies in the industry predicted that Lin Bufan's "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" would likely reach 30 million yuan in box office revenue on its opening day, or even more.

As expected, on the second day of its release, the box office figures for "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" were released. Including the midnight box office, the total box office reached 3542 million yuan, breaking the opening day box office record once again.

Based on the opening day box office, some industry insiders predict that the film's final total box office will be between 3.5 and 4 million yuan.

"Kyoto's entertainment industry has really taken off..."

The major entertainment companies all sighed inwardly.

The film "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" broke the opening day box office record twice in a row, and it is about to break the total box office record. Moreover, both of these box office records were broken by Lin Bufan himself.

This undoubtedly solidified Lin Bufan and Kyoto Entertainment's position in the industry.

If Lin Bufan and Kyoto Entertainment's status in the industry was somewhat hollow before "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate," this moment completely fills that gap.

Most importantly, Lin Bufan's "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" not only had high box office returns, but also received excellent reviews.

It scored as high as 8.5 on Douban on its first day of release.

As more people leave comments, the rating will definitely drop a bit, but it will eventually be around 8.1-8.2.

"Flying Insect from Outer Space: First of all, congratulations to Director Lin for making another classic film. Now, let's get to the point... When I first learned about this movie, based on the title and synopsis, I thought it would be like 'New Dragon Gate Inn.' But considering that Director Lin is an Oscar-winning director, I decided to go to the theater to see for myself..."

To avoid revealing the plot, I can only say that Director Lin's film has a very strong impact in terms of action and visuals. The martial arts and magnificent scenes alone are worth the price of admission. Most importantly, the plot of Director Lin's "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" may seem like just another old-fashioned martial arts story at first glance, but if you watch it carefully, you will find that Director Lin has planted many hidden plot lines in the film...

"As for what the subplot is, I won't reveal it here. Those who want to know can go to the theater to watch it for themselves. However, I suggest that when you watch it for the first time, don't focus on the plot, just watch the fight scenes and visuals. If you really want to study the plot and subplot in detail, you can watch it a second or third time. Okay, I'll stop here, I'm going to go watch it for the third time now..."

Last sentence: Looking forward to the second installment of "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate"...

Just as "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" was released, a comment on the internet immediately aroused everyone's curiosity.

Driven by this curiosity, Flying Swords of Dragon Gate saw its box office soar.

On the second day, "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" grossed 4100 million yuan, and on the third day, it grossed 5080 million yuan.

After three days, "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" grossed over 100 million yuan, reaching 12772 million yuan.

It's 2006 now. Many movies only gross tens of millions of yuan from their release to the end of their run. To date, only seven movies in mainland China have grossed over 100 million yuan: Kung Fu Hustle, House of Flying Daggers, A World Without Thieves, The Promise, Hero, Love is Not Blind, and Huo Yuanjia.

Lin Bufan's "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" broke 100 million yuan in just three days, instantly causing a sensation among major companies in the industry.

"Does this mean we've entered the era of box office revenue exceeding 100 million yuan?"

Otherwise, how could Lin Bufan's movie have grossed over 100 million yuan in just three days?

……

Congratulations, your movie has been a success again.

Inside the private room, Yang Mi raised her glass, her eyes sparkling, and looked at Lin Bufan.

"Isn't success normal?"

Lin Bufan looked confident.

He made many changes to the plot of "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate", especially in the details, removing many bugs and some unreasonable and illogical parts.

In terms of quality, this film is no less than, and at least equal to, Tsui Hark's later film, "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate".

The only drawback is its lack of 3D.

However, Tsui Hark's "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" was supposed to be 3D, but it was actually pseudo-3D, so it didn't have much impact.

Even Xu Ke's film grossed 5.4 million yuan at the box office, so Lin Bufan felt that even if his film was slightly worse due to its age, it wouldn't be too much worse.

As for the movie's lead actor, will the change from Jet Li to Vincent Zhao have any impact?

In Lin Bufan's view, it wouldn't have much of an impact, at least in mainland China. Jet Li has box office appeal, but it's limited, especially in mainland China.

Moreover, his film "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" is directed by an Oscar-winning director, so its box office appeal is definitely no less than that of Jet Li.

"Oh, right, I forgot to ask, hasn't Uncle Lin come back yet?"

After a few rounds of drinks and some casual conversation about interesting things in the industry, Yang Mi looked at Lin Bufan and asked curiously.

Yang Mi brought back a lot of things from Hollywood, including gifts for Lin Bufan's parents.

The day after the premiere, she went to knock on the door, but no one answered.

"No!"

Lin Bufan shrugged, his face remaining expressionless.

He didn't tell anyone what happened last time. He had some guesses in his mind, but he wasn't sure, so naturally he wouldn't say anything to outsiders.

"Alright then, when we get back, could you take it inside for me?"

Yang Mi nodded and didn't ask any further questions.

After dinner, Lin Bufan drove his Land Rover with Yang Mi in tow, and they went straight back to Heqingyuan.

"Old Yang isn't home?"

Lin Bufan followed Yang Mi into her house and glanced around.

"No, Lao Yang is still working overtime."

Yang Mi replied without turning her head.

Old Yang is working overtime at the police station. His mother went back to her parents' home for a visit some time ago and hasn't returned yet.

"Here!"

Not long after, Yang Mi came over carrying two bags of things.

"Come on, let me take you home first!"

As Yang Mi spoke, she pushed Lin Bufan into his house and placed her things on the coffee table in the living room.

"What is it?"

Lin Bufan curiously opened the bag and took a look. It contained some nutritional supplements and a few luxury bags, belts and other items.

"You've spent a lot of money on this... Tell me, what are your intentions?"

Lin Bufan looked up and jokingly glanced at Yang Mi.

What do you think?

Lin Bufan looked up and found Yang Mi standing in front of him, less than 30 centimeters away, staring at him with a deep gaze.

"I……"

Lin Bufan was about to speak when Yang Mi cut him off.
