The entertainment empire began with Liu Yifei's premarital pregnancy.

"Hello, where is that?"

On this day, Bart was worrying about how to scrape together the property tax and property fees for the end of the year.

If all else fails, in order to avoid becoming homeless, he has no choice but to move with his wife and children to a lower-class community. However, this makes it even harder for him to find a good job.

Since being fired by Morgan, he has been rejected by every investment bank on Wall Street he has sent his resume to.

Normally, Bart Elvis's investment style tends to be conservative, especially since he almost never loses money, although he earns very little. Normally, many investment banks would like someone like him.

However, Morgan announced that Bart was fired because his operational errors caused the company to lose hundreds of millions of dollars.

This is why Bart Elvis has not been able to find any work to this day.

Just as he was thinking, the phone rang, and Bart gave a casual reply.

"Mr. Bart, this is Rod from the Bedroom Headhunting Company, I..."

"real?"

"Okay, I'll be right there!"

Bart hung up the phone and hurriedly called his wife in, asking her to iron his suit and wash his car.

During the phone call, Rod didn't say much, only that an investment company had taken a liking to him and wanted to meet him.

For Bart, he would be eager to work for any investment bank that would allow him to stay on Wall Street and offer him a job.

When it was 1:30 pm, it was the same restaurant as in the morning, and the same seats.

The difference is that, in addition to Lin Bufan and Rod, there is an extra Bart Elvis.

"Hello, Mr. Lin!"

Rod brought Bart Elvis to Lin Bufan.

"Hello, please have a seat!"

Lin Bufan glanced at Rhodes, then looked at Bart Elvis and nodded slightly.

"Mr. Bart, let me introduce you..."

After introducing the two parties, Rod, acting as the middleman, turned and left.

The next step is a matter between Lin Bufan and Bart Elvis. If the deal goes through, the headhunting company will receive a final payment.

If it doesn't work out, he will continue to look for a suitable candidate for Lin Bufan.

"Mr. Bart..."

"Mr. Lin, you can just call me Bart."

Bart Elvis is no longer so confident.

Although the United States and Wall Street were anti-Chinese, Bart Elvis never rejected Chinese people. In fact, he believed that Chinese people were more hardworking and intelligent than Europeans and Americans.

"Bart, I'd like to know, what were the reasons you were fired from Morgan Stanley?"

Lin Bufan looked at Bart Elvis with a serious expression.

His answer next will directly determine whether Lin Bufan will stay or leave him.

"Mr. Lin, to be honest..."

Upon hearing this, Bart Elvis gave a wry smile.

In reality, the main reason he was fired by Morgan was because he was made a scapegoat.

Originally, he was the head of an investment team, but six months ago, someone was parachuted into his team to serve as the deputy team leader.

However, the other party's elder was a high-ranking executive at Morgan Stanley, and as a result, in less than a month, the other party directly sidelined Bart Elvis.

Subsequently, all of the group's investment projects were dominated by the other party, and he had no say in anything anymore.

If the invested project is profitable, all the credit goes to the other party; if it loses money, they will definitely take the blame.

Originally, everything was normal, but just over three months ago, the project invested in by his team ran into problems, not only because of losses, but mainly because of embezzlement.

It turns out that the guy who was parachuted in had set up a company outside and, relying on his connections with Morgan, invested in his own company, swindling nearly $100 million.

The losses are so great that simply shifting blame won't solve the problem.

The other party and their senior executives were all dismissed, but the reason for the dismissal was not embezzlement. Morgan Stanley clearly did not want such a scandal to occur in its investment bank.

As a result, Bart Elvis took the blame, since he was the head of the group.

He could explain that the other party's arrival and background had sidelined him in the group, but this reason was clearly not accepted by the higher-ups.

"Mr. Bart, I hope you are telling the truth."

After saying this, Lin Bufan left Bart's contact information and then left.

……

"Li Feng, please investigate this matter for me..."

After getting into the car, Lin Bufan gave instructions directly to his bodyguard captain.

"Yes, boss!"

As the convoy drove back to the Beverly Hills mansion, Lin Bufan smelled a fragrance as soon as he entered the villa.

"Xiao Bai, what delicious food did you make?"

Lin Bufan took a careful sniff; the fragrance was delightful.

American cuisine is something those who know it understand; things like steak and bread are fine to eat occasionally, but he wouldn't like to eat them all the time.

"Boss!"

Upon hearing the sound, Bai Bing instructed the nanny to bring out the stir-fried dishes.

Since becoming Lin Bufan's assistant, Bai Bing has learned a lot, whether it's massage or cooking.

While I wouldn't dare say I'm on par with professionals, my skills aren't too bad either.

"Great, it tastes delicious!"

Lin Bufan picked up his chopsticks, ate a few bites, and a satisfied expression appeared on his face.

These past few days, he's been eating so-called Western food every day, and he's long been tired of it. He would be very content to be able to eat a bite of authentic Chinese cuisine, even if it's just a simple stir-fry.

"Little Bai, whoever marries you will be truly blessed for the rest of their life..."

Lin Bufan ate while praising the food.

"That sounds nice, but I haven't seen you do anything about it..."

Bai Bing gave Lin Bufan a somewhat resentful look and muttered to herself.

"What did you say, Little White?"

Lin Bufan looked up. He had been so focused on eating that he hadn't seen Bai Bing's gaze or heard what she said.

"I said it's nothing, as long as the boss likes it."

Bai Bing composed herself; the courage she had just mustered to complain had vanished in an instant.

After a quick bite to eat, Lin Bufan went into his study and started searching for information online.

The internet today, while not as advanced as it is in later times, still allows you to find a lot of information.

For example, the current situation of some internet companies.

As soon as he opened the website, he found a news article about Apple Computer launching a new product this year...

Apple Computer Inc....

Lin Bufan's eyes suddenly lit up.

The current Apple Computer Company is the same company that will become Apple in the future, but the company changed its name in 07, which is next year.

"The market capitalization is only $598 billion."

Lin Bufan checked and found that Apple Computer Company's current market value is less than 600 billion.

If he remembers correctly, Apple's market capitalization reached a peak of over $4 trillion in October 25th of that year.
