The entertainment empire began with Liu Yifei's premarital pregnancy.

When "Painted Skin" first started filming, almost no one except director Xu Ke had high hopes for Liu Yifei.

The character of Pei Rong is very difficult to portray.

Especially since this movie has two female leads, if Liu Yifei doesn't perform well and is overshadowed by Zhou Xun, it will have a huge impact on the movie's plot and character development.

However, what no one expected was...

Since the start of filming for "Painted Skin", Liu Yifei has been going to the set rain or shine, regardless of whether she has any scenes to film or not, just to study her character.

Liu Yifei, who plays Pei Rong, has also improved from being a novice who couldn't keep up with Zhou Xun's acting seven out of ten times to now only missing the mark once or twice out of ten.

Her growth was witnessed by everyone on the set.

For her, the label of "Director Lin's wife" is naturally not appropriate.

……

"It's just that she had a baby, what's so great about it? Acting like the matriarch of the Lin family, who are you trying to impress..." Yang Mi saw the video of Liu Yifei being interviewed online.

Especially when you see the comments below the video.

She was very displeased by the words like "celestial beauty with domineering presence" and "as expected of the eldest wife of the Lin family..."

The outcome is still uncertain. Who says that you, Liu Yifei, are necessarily the first wife of the Lin family?

At least, Yang Mi didn't think she would lose to Liu Yifei.

"It's just having a child, it's not like anyone can't do that..."

Yang Mi secretly made up her mind that after Lin Bufan returned to China, she would have a child with him as soon as possible. At least in this respect, she could not lose too much to Liu Yifei.

She will take back what she lost, little by little.

"Sooner or later, I will replace you..."

Inside a luxury mansion in Repulse Bay, Hong Kong, Angela Yang Ying watched Liu Yifei's domineering speech in the video and secretly made a vow.

Right now, she has just entered the entertainment industry from the modeling world, and that's all thanks to the resources Lin Bufan provided her.

Perhaps, in terms of status within the industry, she is not as prominent as Liu Yifei.

However, Angela Yang Ying never believed that she was inferior to the other party in terms of figure and appearance.

……

Lin Bufan never expected that one of his "scandals" would cause so much trouble in mainland China.

Before we knew it, the day of the press conference for the start of filming of "2012" arrived.

Representatives from mainland media and China Film Group also attended.

Lin Bufan was the Best Director at the previous Academy Awards, and the recent rumors about him and Jessica Alba directly led to the press conference for the start of filming of "2012" attracting a lot of media attention.

It's fair to say that this movie is already a hit even before its release.

Therefore, sometimes rumors are not necessarily a bad thing. At least for Lin Bufan, it saved Extraordinary Pictures millions of dollars in publicity costs.

Even millions of dollars in advertising might not achieve the same effect.

"Miss Jessica, judging from your expression, something seems to have happened. Would you like to take a rest?"

When Lin Bufan saw Jessica Alba again, he could tell at a glance that she looked tired.

"It's alright, Director Lin!"

Jessica Alba looked at Lin Bufan, smiled, and then shook her head slightly.

She could feel Lin Bufan's concern, but as an actress, she couldn't forget her professional ethics.

She originally thought that the rumors between her and Lin Bufan would probably dissipate soon, after all, there are so many news stories in Hollywood every day.

However, to everyone's surprise, nothing seems to have happened in Hollywood these past few days.

As a result, reporters from various media outlets kept publishing the rumors about her and Lin Bufan.

This caused Cash Warren great distress, and he called Jessica Alba almost a dozen times a day, repeatedly bringing up the matter.

Finally, last night, Jessica Alba, in a fit of anger, issued an ultimatum to Cash Warren, declaring the end of their relationship.

Lin Bufan knew that Jessica Alba must have something on her mind, but she didn't want to say, and he wouldn't ask any further questions.

The press conference for the start of filming of "2012" went very smoothly.

Finally, a reporter stood up and asked Lin Bufan a question.

"Director Lin, just half an hour ago, Cash Warren released a video claiming that you stole his girlfriend. What's your take on this?"

"First of all, let me answer your question. You asked me what I think? Obviously, I'll sit here and watch!" Lin Bufan shrugged, spread his hands, and indicated to the other person that he was sitting right there and would naturally watch from there.

"Secondly, I'd like to ask you, who is Cash Warren?"

"Forehead!"

The reporter was taken aback, both by Lin Bufan's answer and by the question he was asking.

"Cash Warren is the boyfriend of Jessica Alba, who's standing next to you." The reporter could only answer Lin Bufan's question truthfully.

At the same time, I couldn't help but feel sorry for Cash Warren. The poor guy was so unlucky. His girlfriend was stolen away, and his rival didn't even know who he was.

"Excuse me, but Cash Warren has never been my boyfriend."

Before Lin Bufan could answer, Jessica Alba, who was standing next to him, picked up the microphone.

"Let me clarify one point: I met Cash Warren on the set of Fantastic Four. He pursued me, but I never agreed to be with him."

In reality, Jessica Alba has never agreed to Cash Warren's advances. When she agreed to date him last time, it was only because she wanted to be friends with him and see if they got along well before getting together.

Clearly, the two of them don't get along right now.

"Alright, you heard me, so I have nothing to say in response."

After Lin Bufan finished speaking, he directly announced the end of the press conference for the start of filming of "2012".

……

After the press conference, the crew immediately started filming.

The first scene we filmed was an indoor scene, showing the United Nations member states holding a meeting in a conference room.

This scene is actually very simple; it only lasts a few seconds in the movie and isn't very important.

"Click!"

Lin Bufan sat behind the monitor, and before the filming was finished, he suddenly frowned.

"Director, what's wrong?"

Damien quickly approached Lin Bufan.

Damien Chazelle is a promising new director signed by Extraordinary Pictures. Not many people are familiar with his name, but his film "Whiplash" was nominated for an Oscar in 14.

"La La Land" even won him the Academy Award for Best Director in 16.

Now, he serves as the assistant director for the film "2012".

"No, stop filming!"

Lin Bufan shook his head slightly.

Just now, sitting behind the monitor, the moment he saw the footage, something felt off no matter how he looked at it, but he couldn't quite put his finger on what it was.
