The entertainment empire began with Liu Yifei's premarital pregnancy.

Congratulations! You've finally achieved your goal!

In a high-end coffee shop, Zeng Jia and Yang Mi sat facing each other.

Zeng Jia looked at Yang Mi with a complicated expression. She had left with Yang Mi to start Yang Mi's personal studio, but because of her own ambition, she was kicked out by Lin Bufan.

"Sister Jia, we haven't congratulated you on establishing Jaywalk Media yet!"

Yang Mi sat opposite Zeng Jia with a smile on her face.

Lin Bufan orchestrated Zeng Jia's removal from the company. Even though Zeng Jia understood that Yang Mi had tacitly approved it, it wasn't Yang Mi who personally intervened, so the two still maintained a certain level of friendship.

After Zeng Jia was kicked out, she and Zhao Ruoyao founded Jaywalk Studio.

"Unfortunately, Jaywalk Studio lacks a pillar of support!"

As Zeng Jia spoke, she looked intently at Yang Mi.

Zeng Jia took the initiative to invite Yang Mi out today, with only one purpose: to get Yang Mi to join Jaywalk Studio.

Jaywalk Studio has been established for several months and has signed several actors, but they are all relatively unknown in the industry, mainly due to a lack of resources.

For an entertainment company, the number of artists is not important; what matters most is whether it can access top-tier resources.

As long as you have resources, you don't need to worry about the company not having artists.

Conversely, no matter how famous a company is or how many celebrities it signs, these people will leave if there aren't enough resources allocated to them.

Taking Huayi Brothers as an example, why did Fan Bingbing, Li Bingbing, and Deng Chao leave Huayi Brothers and join Kyoto Animation?

It's because Kyoto has enough resources for them to choose from.

Nearly half a year has passed, and Jiaxing's development can be said to have stagnated. When she saw online that Yang Mi had returned to China and was suspected of being pregnant, an idea popped into her mind.

Yang Mi is now an international superstar. Her starring role in "Final Destination" has grossed over 2 million US dollars, which, according to the current exchange rate, is equivalent to 17 billion to nearly 18 billion yuan.

Although the numbers don't add up like that, the fact that her starring film achieved such high box office numbers propelled her into the top tier of domestic cinema, making her comparable to international superstars like Zhang Ziyi.

Of course, the same goes for Fan Bingbing, but she doesn't know Fan Bingbing either.

If Yang Mi could be invited to join Jaywalk Studio, Jaywalk would be able to access many top-tier resources through her connections.

"Honey, as long as you nod, I'll give you 20% of Jiaxing's shares for free, without asking for a single penny." Zeng Jia said, looking at her expectantly.

Zeng Jia didn't want a single penny of the 20% stake, which seemed like Yang Mi got the better deal.

However, there's a calculation that needs to be made clear: Jiaxing Entertainment's current value is less than ten million yuan, and a 20% stake is worth at most two million yuan.

However, if Yang Mi chooses to join and sign with Jaywalk Studio, Jaywalk's valuation will increase by at least two or three times.

In the end, Zeng Jia and Zhao Ruoyao will be the ones who earn the most.

"Sister Jia, I..."

Yang Mi shook her head slightly, about to refuse.

"Honey, listen to me!"

Zeng Jia looked at Yang Mi with a serious expression: "You're pregnant with Lin Bufan's child now, but there are many things you should think about, not just for yourself, but also for the baby in your belly..."

"I know you already own Mifang Media, why not add another company under your name?"

"I need to think about this!"

Yang Mi did not directly reject Zeng Jia, and the two chatted for a few minutes before parting ways.

"how?"

When Zeng Jia returned to Jaywalk Studio, Zhao Ruoyao immediately found her and asked about her situation.

She went to see Yang Mi after discussing it with Zhao Ruoyao.

"She said she needed to think about it, and the chances were slim!"

Zeng Jia shook her head. Based on her understanding of Yang Mi, if the other party was interested, she would almost certainly agree on the spot, if not on the spot.

However, when he heard that he was giving the other party 20% of the shares for free, the other party didn't even blink, which obviously didn't arouse his interest. In addition, the other party said that he would think about it, which was almost a tactful rejection.

"Why!"

Zhao Ruoyao shook her head and sighed.

When they initially invested in Jaywalk Studio, Zeng Jia claimed she was confident she could get Yang Mi signed. But now, without Yang Mi, Jaywalk Studio isn't even considered third-rate in the industry.

"Trying to fool me? Humph!"

After Yang Mi left, she sat in the car and gave a haughty snort.

Does she really think she's still the same naive and clueless Yang Mi she used to be?

Since Yang Mi's personal studio was renamed Mifang Media, she has learned a lot from Ye Jing.

It seems that Zeng Jia gave him 20% of the shares for free, and he got a good deal.

However, with its own joining, Jiaxing's valuation will instantly double or even triple. If the original valuation was tens of millions, it will instantly rise to twenty or thirty million.

She couldn't be taken advantage of like this. Zeng Jia and her group took the lion's share of the profits, leaving her with only a small portion, and it would also affect the development of her personal studio.

The fact that the other party used her unborn child as an excuse made Yang Mi even more upset. The fact that she didn't confront them on the spot shows that she was being considerate.

……

"Card, passed!"

"Film the next scene in half an hour!"

Lin Bufan is currently filming "Lust, Caution".

"Boss, it's Carter on the phone!"

Upon seeing that the film crew had finished shooting, Bai Bing hurriedly took the phone and went to Lin Bufan to report.

As Lin Bufan's assistant, Bai Bing understood his style of doing things very well. No matter how important the matter was, she couldn't disturb him while he was filming.

"Hey, it's me!"

Lin Bufan took the phone from Bai Bing's hand.

"Boss, filming for 'The Conjuring' starts on the 8th, and the actors and sets for 'Home Alone' are all set up, with filming expected to begin on the 12th..."

During the phone call, Carter reported to Lin Bufan.

Have they found a actor for the male lead in "Home Alone"?

Lin Bufan nodded slightly. He didn't have much to say about "The Conjuring," as the original cast would suffice. However, "Home Alone" was different.

The original version of this movie was released in 90. The male lead, Maurice Calkin, was only 10 years old at the time and gave a superb performance in the role.

But now it's already 06, and the original male lead is 26 years old and no longer suitable to play the male lead.

Moreover, because of the absence of "Home Alone," the original Macaulay Cullinan is virtually unknown in Hollywood today.

"Home Alone" is a movie series, and the plot is actually not complicated at all. The most important thing is the male protagonist.

The reason why the box office of the original "Home Alone" movies has been declining is largely due to the change of the male lead.

While it's undeniable that the later Home Alone movies had somewhat hollow and boring plots, the more crucial issue was the unsuitable male lead, making them difficult to watch.

Take Stephen Chow's movies for example. He's fine when he's in them, but if you change the lead actor, they just make you want to pick your toes in embarrassment.
