The entertainment empire began with Liu Yifei's premarital pregnancy.

"Wait, what about my holiday check-in?"

Lin Bufan looked around but couldn't find any holiday check-ins.

[Ding, system notification: The holiday check-in feature has been replaced after optimization!]

"No, who gave you permission to replace me?"

Lin Bufan was a little annoyed. The holiday sign-in event always included a TV series or movie script and a real-world reward, either a building or company stock. As for a car, he didn't care; he wasn't particularly interested in sports cars.

[Ding, system notification: If the host does not like this, they can cancel this upgrade and optimization (limited to upgrades and optimizations for holiday check-ins)]

[Host, would you like to cancel?]

【whether?】

"certainly……"

Lin Bufan instinctively prepared to answer, but after a moment's thought, he said, "System, tell me first, what has it become after the upgrade and optimization?"

[The host only needs to turn to the second page to see it!]

After receiving a system prompt, Lin Bufan finally saw the "Next Page" button at the very bottom right corner of the screen.

So, he raised his hand and pressed the button.

[Holiday check-in system upgraded and optimized...]

"this……"

Lin Bufan was stunned when he saw the upgraded and optimized version.

Simply put, the holiday check-in feature has been upgraded and optimized, and has become a long-term task.

For every 10 billion yuan in box office revenue that Lin Bufan directs, he will receive a reward: the Green Wood Life-Nourishing Pill.

The name "Qingmu Yangming Dan" sounds ordinary, but its actual medicinal effects are simply miraculous.

In other words, this Green Wood Life-Nourishing Pill can bring the dead back to life and heal flesh and bones. As long as you have a breath left, it can save you, no matter how serious the injury. Of course, it won't work if the body is separated from the body, and you can't be dead for more than an hour.

There are many limitations, but the key point is that it is effective. More importantly, if a healthy person takes it, it can increase their lifespan by 10 years.

That's ten years! Life is fleeting, lasting only a hundred years or so. A single pill can increase your lifespan by one-tenth.

Of course, this only increases the normal lifespan; it does not include deaths from accidents or serious injuries.

Even so, it's still incredibly amazing.

In addition, if a film wins one of the three highest European awards—the Golden Lion, the Palme d'Or, and the Golden Bear—as well as the Academy Award for Best Picture, it can receive the [Aoki Regenerating Pill].

【Aoki Regenerating Muscle Pill】has only one therapeutic effect: it can regenerate severed limbs. However, it depends on the extent of the limb loss. If it is only a finger, it may regenerate in a month.

If it's the entire arm, it would take at least a year.

If a film wins a second-class award, such as Best Director, Best Actor, or Best Actress, it will only receive one [Qi-Boosting Pill].

【Qi-Boosting Pill】: After taking it, it can accelerate the repair of internal and external injuries.

If you take Qi-boosting pills after catching a cold or fever, you can get better instantly. Of course, it would be a waste to use them to treat a cold or fever.

This means that, apart from cancer, Qi-boosting pills can cure all diseases, but the time it takes to recover varies depending on the specific condition.

If it really is cancer, then the only treatment available is Qingmu Yangming Dan.

It can be said that the upgraded and optimized holiday gift packs of [Qingmu Yangming Dan], [Qingmu Shengji Wan], and [Xuqi Dan] are all rare and precious medicines.

With this, who cares about holiday check-ins?

"System, I don't want to sign in for the holiday!"

Lin Bufan loudly replied to the system.

[Please confirm, host. Once confirmed, this cannot be changed!]

"confirm!"

Just kidding, only a fool would change back to the original holiday check-in system.

"By the way, system, I'd like to know if the box office revenue of the movies I made before will be included in the calculation?" Lin Bufan suddenly had an idea.

It would be great if the box office revenue of his previous films were also included in the total.

To date, Lin Bufan has directed five films: Manchester by the Sea, Love is Not Blind, Flying Swords of Dragon Gate, 2012, and Lust, Caution.

Of the first three films, "Manchester by the Sea" has already been released. Although it is an art film, it actually grossed quite a bit at the box office, with a total global box office of $8000 million.

Based on the current exchange rate, it's approximately 6.5 million RMB. The system's claim of 10 billion RMB in cumulative box office revenue is calculated in domestic currency, not US dollars.

"By the way, system, what impact will it have if the exchange rate of the US dollar changes in the future?"

Lin Bufan suddenly had a thought and realized this possibility.

The current exchange rate is above 8, but it will likely remain around 6 in the future, generally around 7. If the exchange rate fluctuates, it will have a significant impact on the market.

The system only calculates based on the current exchange rate!

The system's response reassured Lin Bufan, so he no longer needed to worry about future exchange rate fluctuations affecting him.

Secondly, there's the movie "Love is Not Blind".

The domestic box office was 2.7 million RMB, the Hong Kong and Taiwan box office was 1.08 million RMB, and although the copyright was sold to Japan and South Korea for 2000 million RMB, the combined box office of Japan and South Korea was 1.6 million RMB.

The total box office is 5.38 million, and with the box office of the movie "Manchester by the Sea", the total box office is 11.88 billion.

For Lin Bufan, the first time the cumulative total exceeded 10 billion was equivalent to receiving a [Green Wood Life-Nourishing Pill].

The movie "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" grossed 4.89 million yuan in mainland China, and 2.33 million yuan in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Southeast Asia combined. Japan and South Korea also sold the rights, but they sold them for 4000 million yuan at the time, although the box office figures were 2.1 million yuan.

The total box office revenue is 9.32 million, which is less than 10 billion. However, if the three movies are added together, the total box office revenue is exactly 21.2 billion. In other words, he now has two Green Wood Life-Nourishing Pills in his account.

"2012" is still in post-production. The special effects requirements for this movie are very high. It is expected to be completed in the second half of the year. It would be considered fast if it could be released during the Lunar New Year holiday this year.

Needless to say, "Lust, Caution" is still not finished filming, let alone released.

I was thinking that once the group was on track, I could relax, but now…

Lin Bufan is now full of energy. Even if it means living a few more years, he wants to make more movies, not only commercial movies, but also art films.

Although the Qingmu Shengji Pill and Qi-Boosting Pill are not as good as the Qingmu Yangming Pill, they can still be used as a precaution in case of any illness.

Furthermore, the [Green Wood Life-Nourishing Pill] cannot be used entirely to increase lifespan, since as long as a person is alive, no one can say for sure that they will not encounter accidents.

In case of an accident, this is a life-saving medicine. Otherwise, no matter how many years you increase your lifespan, even if you can theoretically live for a thousand years, it will be useless if you are shot in the head.
