The entertainment empire began with Liu Yifei's premarital pregnancy.

"Card!"

Lin Bufan put down the camera, walked to the bedside, and looked at Dong Jie: "Your expression just now was a bit too intense. Remember your mindset at this moment..."

"Understood, Director Lin!"

Dong Jie nodded earnestly.

"Okay, let's take a ten-minute break to cool down before we start again!"

Lin Bufan glanced at the two of them and realized that they were getting quite into character. If they didn't pause for a moment, they wouldn't be able to continue filming.

……

"Boss, Carter is calling."

As Lin Bufan walked out of the room, Bai Bing approached him with her phone in hand.

"What is it?"

Lin Bufan casually took the phone and looked at Bai Bing.

"About the movie 'I Am Legend'."

Carter didn't go into too much detail during the phone call.

"Okay, I understand."

Lin Bufan nodded slightly, then his gaze suddenly fell on Bai Bing's fair neck: "Your necklace is nice, it looks good!"

Not only was it good-looking, but Lin Bufan also felt that it looked somewhat familiar, though he couldn't quite place it at the moment.

"what!"

Bai Bing's cheeks flushed instantly. Before she could speak, Lin Bufan took out his phone and dialed a number, so Bai Bing had no choice but to remain silent.

What exactly does the boss mean?

Bai Bing watched Lin Bufan's retreating figure, biting her lower lip lightly, her mind starting to wander.

This necklace was a gift from her boss a few days ago. If it were just a necklace, it wouldn't be a big deal, but the key point is that she specifically checked and found that this necklace is worth millions.

Perhaps the boss will give his assistant some gifts, after all, the assistant is the boss's confidant.

But what boss would be so generous as to give their assistant a gift worth millions for no reason?

In particular, his boss was a notorious womanizer.

On the day she received the gift, Bai Bing was still wondering if her boss was trying to seduce her or giving her a suggestive answer.

However, Lin Bufan didn't say anything until that evening, and in the following days, he acted as if nothing had happened.

This inevitably made Bai Bing suspicious.

"Could it be that the boss was targeting me just now?"

Thinking of this, Bai Bing looked up at Lin Bufan.

You want me to take the initiative?

But what woman would take the initiative in something like this?

"Ugh, this is so annoying, what should I do..."

Bai Bing was deeply conflicted.

She had once fantasized that if her boss took the initiative, she would half-heartedly comply, but now that she was being asked to take the initiative, it was really too much to ask.

……

"BOSS!"

The call connected, and Carter's voice came through.

"Speak!"

"The 'I Am Legend' project by BOSS starts filming tomorrow..."

Originally, Will Smith was cast as the male lead in the movie "I Am Legend," but Lin Bufan didn't like him very much, especially after his actions were exposed in later generations.

Ultimately, Matt Damon was chosen as the lead in the film, as he was considered a better value for money compared to Will Smith.

In terms of acting skills, Matt Damon is in no way inferior to Will Smith, and he is also a strong box office draw.

Most importantly, there's the issue of their salaries. Will Smith has already made a name for himself in Hollywood, and his salary has now risen to $2500 million. He even demands a share of the box office revenue for all films except those produced by the Big Eight studios.

This was even more unacceptable to Lin Bufan. Could he really stop eating meat without Zhang the butcher?

He's not the only actor in Hollywood.

Matt Damon's salary is now only tens of millions of US dollars, saving $1500 million in salary alone. In terms of box office performance, as long as it is not lower than the original $4500 difference, it can be considered equal.

The success of the movie "I Am Legend" was more due to its plot than to the fact that it starred Will Smith.

Of the five projects originally planned, four have now started production, leaving only World War Z yet to begin.

The movie "World War Z" was also a big-budget film. The actors were secondary; the main focus was on the large-scale staging and production, which caused the preparation to be somewhat slow.

…………

"Knock knock knock!"

That evening, Lin Bufan had just finished organizing his notes on the content to be filmed the next day and was about to rest when he heard a knock on the door.

"Who?"

Lin Bufan got up, opened the door, and saw Bai Bing standing in front of his door, wearing a white tight-fitting tank top and pink super short tight pants.

"Aren't you cold?"

Lin Bufan looked at Bai Bing standing at the door with some surprise.

It's only March now. Although winter is over, this isn't the south, and the temperature is still hovering around 10°C.

Bai Bing, who had prepared a whole speech, was speechless when she heard Lin Bufan say this.

"Never mind, never mind..."

Bai Bing gritted her teeth, and the next second she walked directly into the room, hooking her back foot and closing the door behind her.

The next day, Lin Bufan appeared on set looking energetic, but his assistant Bai Bing, who was always by his side, was unusually absent.

Only Lin Bufan knew that Bai Bing was still resting due to the severity of her injuries.

It's not Lin Bufan's fault. She insisted on being stubborn. Even though she was already completely defeated, Lin Bufan was willing to let her off the hook, but she insisted on proving herself, so this is how it ended.

"Alright, let's start filming!"

Once filming began, Lin Bufan was in very good spirits, and the anger he had been building up for the past few days had dissipated considerably.

……

Before we knew it, it was March 20th. After about three weeks, the three scenes were finally filmed.

During filming, Lin Bufan fared somewhat better, as the white frost provided some relief during the day. However, Liang Jiahui and Dong Jie endured a truly grueling experience.

Ultimately, the filming results were excellent. Lin Bufan had watched it several times and found no flaws whatsoever.

"Once I leave this room, I will only tell everyone that there was some nudity in this scene, but not full nudity..." Lin Bufan looked at Liang Jiahui and Dong Jie in the room.

If Li An's promotional approach had been followed, "Lust, Caution" would have been a hit even before its release, and many viewers would have driven up the film's box office simply to see those scenes.

Lin Bufan, however, disdained such a thing.

If he wants high box office returns, he has many movies to choose from.

Since this movie is an art film, it should look like an art film. It can't be made to lure people into the theater just for the sake of hype.

Furthermore, such publicity would not cause any harm to Lin Bufan or Liang Jiahui, but it would be extremely damaging to Dong Jie.

Regardless, Dong Jie made a great sacrifice for this movie, so we should at least consider her feelings.
