The entertainment empire began with Liu Yifei's premarital pregnancy.

Zhao Liying's departure at the time had a very negative impact on Huayi Brothers.

Although she was just an unknown newcomer within Huayi Brothers at the time, after signing with Kyoto Animation, she immediately starred in two TV series, "The Starry Night" and "Boss & Me," both as the female lead.

This impact was quite significant for the artists signed with Huayi Brothers.

They couldn't help but wonder, if even a newcomer like Zhao Liying could land a leading role after switching to Kyoto Animation, why couldn't they?

Fortunately, just when Huayi Brothers was in its most dangerous moment, a large amount of funds came in, which allowed Huayi to stabilize. Subsequently, several projects were launched, which helped to keep these artists in line.

Otherwise, if a large number of artists leave, Huayi Brothers will be practically bankrupt.

Even so, Huayi Brothers is now somewhat weakened. Li Bingbing, Huayi's former leading lady, has switched to Kyoto Animation, and Deng Chao and Wang Baoqiang have also signed with Kyoto Animation.

…………

"Mr. Lin, you wanted to see me!"

Li Bingbing followed Bai Bing into Lin Bufan's office.

"You can go now."

Lin Bufan waved to Bai Bing, then got up, took a script, sat on the sofa, and waved to Li Bingbing.

"This is a movie script, take a look first."

As Lin Bufan spoke, he tossed the script to Li Bingbing.

""resident Evil""

Li Bingbing took the script and started reading.

Half an hour later, Li Bingbing closed the script and looked at Lin Bufan with surprise in her eyes: "President Lin, is this a Hollywood movie?"

"That's right, it's not just a Hollywood movie, it's a series."

Lin Bufan looked at Li Bingbing with a smile and nodded slightly.

"President Lin..."

Li Bingbing was a little excited, and the next second she stood up and pounced on Lin Bufan.

……

……

"Mr. Lin, could we give the female lead role in this movie to someone else?"

A few hours later, Li Bingbing lay on Lin Bufan's chest, looking at her with a slightly cloying voice.

"The female lead in this movie was originally intended for you."

Lin Bufan smiled and looked at her earnestly.

Li Bingbing has a somewhat cold appearance, but her long and powerful legs are truly pleasing to the eye, and carrying them directly increases attack speed several times over.

"Mr. Lin, you're so kind..."

Li Bingbing's face lit up with joy, and she stepped forward to kiss Lin Bufan.

But the next second, Li Bingbing's expression changed drastically, and she looked at Lin Bufan with some panic: "President Lin, I can't take it anymore..."

"If you can't do it, don't move!"

Lin Bufan rolled his eyes at Li Bingbing and patted her on the butt.

Since Li Bingbing switched to Kyoto, she hasn't received any resources. This long period of time has made Li Bingbing doubt whether her initial decision was right.

Until today, when she received the script for Resident Evil, she knew she had won her gamble.

In China, the "Four Dan and Two Bing" are equally famous and can be considered top actresses in the industry. If they want to improve themselves further, they can only develop internationally.

Getting into Hollywood isn't something anyone can do.

At the very least, it would be virtually impossible for her to get an opportunity at Huayi Brothers. After Huayi Brothers announced the "Kung Fu King" project, there was some discussion within the industry.

Upon closer reflection, it's clear that Huayi Brothers paid the largest share of the money, yet they had to listen to the Hollywood companies in everything. This wouldn't be the case if it were one of the Big Eight Hollywood studios.

The Hollywood film company that Huayi Brothers collaborates with is just a third-rate independent production company in Hollywood, yet Huayi Brothers is expected to listen to the other party's every whim.

In contrast, in Kyoto, every star who gets promoted to Hollywood plays a leading role.

Fan Bingbing's "Taken" series and Yang Mi's "Final Destination" series were both huge successes, and the two have now become international superstars.

Compared to Zhang Ziyi, the two are in no way inferior.

What Li Bingbing didn't know was that Lin Bufan had specially redeemed the script for "Resident Evil" from the points mall.

Originally, Li Bingbing was to play the role of Ada Wong in the fifth Resident Evil movie. Li Bingbing's look in the movie was very beautiful, at least in Lin Bufan's eyes, she surpassed the original female lead's appearance.

So when Lin Bufan thought of Li Bingbing, he thought of the Resident Evil movie series.

However, since two Resident Evil movies had already been released, Lin Bufan had to spend 2,000 points to redeem the scripts for the first two movies.

Correspondingly, all news about the Resident Evil film series has disappeared from the world.

Lin Bufan is very much looking forward to Li Bingbing playing the role of Alice. Compared to the original Alice, Li Bingbing is more than twice as beautiful.

Both her figure and appearance, and Li Bingbing's looks, perfectly match Western aesthetics, making her suitable for an international career.

"Take the script first. Extraordinary Pictures has a lot of projects lately, so filming for this movie is expected to be delayed until the end of the year," Lin Bufan said to Li Bingbing.

Extraordinary Pictures currently has six films in production at the same time, and there is no spare capacity to start another film. They can only start the Resident Evil film series after one of the films is completed.

……

The next day, all the main actors of "How Long Will I Love U" were present in the conference room on the top floor of the Kyoto Building.

Deng Chao plays the male lead Lu Ming, and Jing Tian plays the female lead Gu Xiaojiao.

The second male lead, who is also the male lead's boss, Zhao Junyi, is played by Sun Yiyi.

The role of the third male lead, a doctor, is played by Yu Hewei, while the role of the fourth male lead, the potato uncle who swindles Gu Xiaojiao, is still played by Fan Ming.

The role of the second female lead, the store manager, was played by Tao Hong, while the role of the third female lead, Xiao Ya, Gu Xiaojiao's flaunting best friend, was originally played by Li Nian.

However, Yang Mi spoke up for Yuan Shanshan, and out of respect for Yang Mi, the role was given to Yuan Shanshan because it was only the third female lead and didn't require much acting skill.

"Director Lin!"

As Lin Bufan pushed the door open and entered, Deng Chao, Jing Tian, Sun Yiyi, Yu Hewei, Fan Ming, Tao Hong, and Yuan Shanshan stood up.

"Please have a seat, everyone!"

After Lin Bufan sat down, his gaze swept over everyone.

"Everyone has read the script."

"Time is limited, so if anyone has any questions about their role, please bring them up for discussion," Lin Bufan said to the crowd.

In terms of filming, this movie was actually not difficult at all; it's just a romance film, and the characters don't have much depth.

It wasn't difficult for either Deng Chao or anyone else.

The only one, Jing Tian, who plays the female lead, finds it quite challenging to portray the character Gu Xiaojiao well.

Fortunately, Lin Bufan is quite skilled at coaching actors' acting skills.
