The entertainment empire began with Liu Yifei's premarital pregnancy.

Liang Jiahui, Dong Jie, Pan Yueming, Sun Yiyi, and Xue Kaiqi had just returned to China and were about to leave the airport when they were surrounded by reporters.

Their target was Lin Bufan, but after surrounding them, they discovered that Lin Bufan had not returned with them.

Fortunately, with Sun Yiyi as the Best Newcomer at Venice, the reporters didn't leave empty-handed.

"Today I've truly witnessed the allure of the three major European awards..."

Dong Jie looked at Sun Yi with envy.

She, the film's leading lady, is actually less popular than Sun Yiyi, the Venice Film Festival's Best Newcomer.

Of the people present, everyone except Liang Jiahui envied him.

Pan Yueming and Xue Kaiqi were both newcomers, especially Pan Yueming, whose role was even more prominent than Sun Yiyi's. However, the Best Newcomer award still went to Sun Yiyi.

"Alright, I'm going now!"

Liang Jiahui shook his head slightly and left first.

Although he was a little disappointed at not winning the Best Actor award, it wasn't enough to make him lose his composure.

With Liang Jiahui and his entourage returning to China, the public's anticipation for "Lust, Caution" has only grown stronger. On the same day, Kyoto Animation announced that "Lust, Caution" would be released three days later, on Friday.

Domestic audiences are now very curious about this film that won the Golden Lion Award.

Not only the audience, but also many people in the industry, including Liang Jiahui, Dong Jie, and Pan Yueming, are very curious about the film.

At first, they were just filming, but after the film was completed, they hadn't seen it yet. They only saw it once during a screening in Venice.

Dong Jie, in particular, is now most eager to know how Director Lin edited the film, and what the differences are between the domestic version and the version screened in Venice.

On the day of its release, tickets for "Lust, Caution" were extremely hard to come by. Even though it was an art film, many moviegoers still came because of the name Lin Bufan.

These movie fans have all seen the film "Manchester by the Sea". It can be said that although this film is also an art film, it is not as boring as Hong Kong art films. It is just more likely to make you cry.

Therefore, they are now very curious about what this film, "Lust, Caution," is like.

Film critic Lao Zhou is a well-known film critic on his blog, and he is also one of the biggest haters of Lin Bufan online. His criticism mainly stems from his anger at Lin Bufan's lack of ambition.

In his eyes, Manchester by the Sea is such an excellent movie, but what are Lin Bufan's later films, Love is Not Blind and Flying Swords of Dragon Gate?

The biggest and most heated negative reviews for "Love is Not Blind" and "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" came from his hand.

In his opinion, Lin Bufan should be making art films that make people think, and making commercial films would be a complete waste of his talent.

Now that he's finally got his second art film, he's definitely going to watch it. And he also wants to see how well Lin Bufan made this film, and whether it's a step backward.

He had already planned it all out: if Lin Bufan's art film was a disappointment, he would definitely start cursing online.

After entering the cinema, Lao Zhou found his seat, sat down, took out his notebook, and placed it on his lap, preparing to take notes while watching the movie.

A few minutes later, the lights dimmed and the movie officially began.

The first shot was of Wang Jiazhi's face. This one shot, along with Dong Jie's performance, sent a chill down Lao Zhou's spine.

The camera work, the expression, and the metaphors...

Old Zhou simply put the paper and pen aside. He had a feeling that this movie would definitely not disappoint him, so he would watch it carefully the first time, and then watch it a second time and take notes.

After watching the entire movie, Lao Zhou couldn't help but exclaim, "No wonder he's Lin Bufan!"

The film vividly portrays human nature, especially the various characters, without any denigration or taking sides; it presents the fickleness of human nature from a third-person perspective.

"No wonder it won the Golden Lion Award, it certainly didn't disappoint..." Old Zhou's eyes flashed with excitement. After leaving the theater, he hurriedly turned around to buy tickets for the next showing.

However, to his disappointment, all the shows for today were sold out, and only the shows for tomorrow afternoon were available.

Old Zhou went to several cinemas in a row, but the result was the same: no tickets left!

There was nothing else Lao Zhou could do but buy movie tickets for tomorrow afternoon, since he wanted to carefully record the exciting plot and then publish his movie review on his blog.

On the other side, Dong Jie walked out of the movie theater, feeling relieved.

Back in Venice, she had seen the screening version. Lin Bufan had made many changes to her three passionate scenes, making them completely different from the original three scenes.

While it's not explicitly stated that nothing was revealed, the subtle editing techniques left everyone feeling a bit uneasy, creating a sense of mystery and making people eager to investigate.

But there are only so many shots. As long as Lin Bufan and Liang Jiahui don't say anything, she could even tell the public that those were just the director's filming techniques and that she didn't actually show anything.

At the same time, she understood why Lin Bufan filmed it that way; otherwise, the editing wouldn't have produced such a result.

After returning to China, she worried that Director Lin might include some "indecent" scenes to boost box office sales, but it turned out she was being overly cautious and nothing changed at all.

After its release, "Lust, Caution" became a huge hit. The next day, Kyoto Animation announced that "Lust, Caution" had grossed 4230 million yen on its opening day, which was higher than the opening day gross of "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate".

It's worth noting that "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" only grossed around 3500 million yuan on its opening day, and it was a commercial film. "Lust, Caution," on the other hand, was an art film, yet it outperformed the art film.

Furthermore, the online reviews of "Lust, Caution" are overwhelmingly positive.

For viewers who enjoy films with depth, the exploration of human nature in "Lust, Caution" gave them a mental climax. Some who didn't understand it were prepared to watch it a second or third time just to understand it.

Furthermore, Lin Bufan's version of "Lust, Caution" is not boring in terms of plot or content. While it may not be considered a blockbuster, it is not far off.

Especially after Lao Zhou, the biggest online hater of Lin Bufan, published his review of "Lust, Caution" the next day, it once again aroused the curiosity of many people online about "Lust, Caution".

As a result, "Lust, Caution" grossed 58.9 million yuan on its second day, and together with the 42.3 million yuan grossed on its opening day, it achieved the feat of breaking 100 million yuan in just two days.

When this news was announced, the entire entertainment industry was in an uproar.

In this era where movie box office revenue reaches hundreds of millions, it is truly astonishing that Lin Bufan's art film was able to break 100 million yuan in just two days.
