The entertainment empire began with Liu Yifei's premarital pregnancy.

"Dandan, what's wrong? Why are you crying?"

Zhao Ke looked at Wang Luodan, who had started crying as soon as she put down the phone, and was somewhat puzzled.

"It's nothing!"

Wang Luodan wiped away her tears, then looked at Zhao Ke and forced a smile: "Ake, I have to go now. Let's get together again sometime!"

After saying that, without waiting for Zhao Ke to say anything, he picked up his bag and left.

As Wang Luodan walked out of the barbecue restaurant and onto the street alone, she could no longer hold back her tears, which streamed down her face.

Normally, she should be very happy to get a role from Lin Bufan.

But she knew very well that from the moment she took on this role, there was no longer any possibility between her and Lin Bufan.

From the phone call, she could sense Lin Bufan's tone; his meaning was clear: as long as she accepted the role, everything between them in the past would be wiped clean.

Thinking of this, Wang Luodan couldn't stop her tears from flowing.

At the same time, she was also secretly regretting that when Lin Bufan was not famous, she had a relationship with him because of an accident or impulsive act.

Back then, Lin Bufan was a campus heartthrob, not to mention the ugly directing department at Beijing Film Academy, even in the acting department.

At the Beijing Film Academy, Wang Luodan was Lin Bufan's senior. During one of their encounters, one of them was interested in flirting with the other, who was also "itchy" to try it out, and so they ended up having a relationship.

For Lin Bufan, Wang Luodan was going to be a big star in the future, and besides, it was just a novelty, so of course he didn't take it to heart.

Wang Luodan felt the same way. For her, Lin Bufan, a "minor character," was just a stimulating ingredient. She wanted to try out this handsome guy, and the two hit it off immediately.

One night later, Wang Luodan was still worried that Lin Bufan would cling to her, so when she woke up in the morning, she specifically told him not to contact her again and to treat it as an accident.

Of course, the two did contact each other after that, but each time it was just an invitation to vent, without any emotional contact.

After Lin Bufan became famous, their relationship ended completely. After all, if you really want to be honest, they were just friends at best.

This time, when Wang Luodan received Lin Bufan's call, she knew very well that he was making a final break, and after this, the two of them would be strangers.

Wang Luodan was filled with remorse. If she had known that Lin Bufan would achieve such success, she shouldn't have had that attitude back then. When Lin Bufan treated her as a tool, she had the same thought.

The idea of "fire pack friends" is a shared one, never just one person's idea.

……

After hanging up the phone, Lin Bufan remained calm.

For him, being able to completely sever ties with a character he likes is quite generous of him.

After all, for Huobao users, both sides get what they need, and there's never any question of who owes whom anything.

The next day is October 1st, which is National Day. However, for Lin Bufan, there is another important matter to attend to today.

Early in the morning, Lin Bufan met with the heads of various cinema chains in a rented private club.

This private club was specially rented by Lin Bufan to entertain executives from various cinema chains.

"Mr. Lin, is there something you wanted to discuss with us today?"

After a few rounds of drinks, Mr. Gao, the general manager of New Film Union, looked at Lin Bufan.

Speaking of this new film alliance cinema chain, it is the strongest local cinema chain in Beijing. It is a dominant cinema chain in the entire North China region and used to have a very good relationship with Huayi Brothers.

The main reason is that Huayi Brothers produces a lot of movies. For cinemas, movies are the upstream of the entire film industry, so they are very important.

However, things changed after Kyoto rose to prominence. After all, no one would complain about earning too little. Whether it was a movie Lin Bufan directed or a movie distributed by Kyoto, it was a box office guarantee for theaters.

As long as you can make money, relationships and favors are all meaningless.

"Mr. Gao!"

After glancing at the other party, Lin Bufan's gaze swept over the heads of the other six cinema chains: General Manager Yan of China Film Stellar Cinemas, General Manager Wu of Shanghai United Cinemas, General Manager Chen of Wanda Cinemas, General Manager Xie of China Film Southern New Line, General Manager Wu of Times Cinemas, and General Manager Zeng of Sichuan Pacific Cinemas.

With the addition of New Film Union Cinema Circuit, all eight of the largest cinema circuits in the country are now located here.

Of course, we should also add the Kyoto Cinema Circuit.

Since its establishment, Kyoto Cinema Circuit has grown to 26 cinemas, covering 16 cities, with a total of 204 screens and 50,000 seats, accounting for approximately 10% of the current film market.

It ranks fifth nationwide, second only to Wanda Cinemas, which ranks fourth.

Currently, Wanda Cinemas only has 28 cinemas, two more than Kyoto. In terms of screens, Wanda has 205, while Kyoto has only one less. The number of seats is almost the same, and their market share is also the same. The only difference is the number of cities covered. Wanda covers 21 cities, while Kyoto only covers 16 cities.

However, if ranked by box office revenue, Kyoto Cinemas has earned 2.5 million yuan so far this year, which seems to be 1 million yuan less than Wanda Cinemas. After all, Wanda Cinemas' cumulative box office revenue has reached 3.5 million yuan. However, Kyoto Cinemas was established relatively late and can only be considered as having been established for half a year.

"I've gathered you all here today for only one thing: to increase our share of the film's box office revenue!"

Lin Bufan's gaze swept over everyone with a serious and earnest expression.

"Mr. Lin, who are you representing?"

Everyone else fell silent instantly, but Mr. Chen from Wanda looked at Lin Bufan and slowly spoke.

Lin Bufan had already reached an agreement with Wanda before today, which is why President Chen cooperated with him. Otherwise, if there was an awkward silence, Lin Bufan would have difficulty continuing.

"I only speak for myself and Kyoto Entertainment!"

As Lin Bufan spoke, he looked at everyone.

"Mr. Lin, this is a bit against the rules, after all, other entertainment companies haven't said anything."

Mr. Zeng, the general manager of Pacific Cinemas, frowned and looked at Lin Bufan.

"Improper?"

Lin Bufan chuckled softly, then continued, "In the past year or so, Kyoto Animation has produced a series of films, including 'Love is Not Blind,' 'Flying Swords of Dragon Gate,' 'Ip Man,' 'Crazy Stone,' 'Lost in Thailand,' 'Painted Skin,' 'Go Lala Go!,' 'Overheard,' and 'Lust, Caution,' which have grossed over 24 billion yuan at the box office..."

Of course, Lin Bufan's figures only include box office revenue in mainland China, not in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, or even North America.

Even so, hearing this number still made the expressions of the people present turn serious.

Before calculating, all they knew was that Lin Bufan and Kyoto Productions guaranteed box office success and meant that theaters could make a fortune.

But after hearing this number, I realized that Kyoto Animation had actually earned more than 20 billion yuan at the box office in mainland China in just two years.
