Transmigrated into the body of a tycoon's spoiled ex-girlfriend
Chapter 8 Falling in Love
Ke Miantang had just returned to her room and was about to lie down when her phone rang.
The screen displays Ke Ji, the original owner's younger brother, a student at Cheng Hsin Academy's high school division.
Speaking of her younger brother, Ke Miantang had mixed feelings.
In the original novel, Ke Ji's ending was not good.
Because of Zhang Xin, the relationship between the two siblings plummeted to its lowest point, and even family mediation was ineffective.
However, after the original owner was sent abroad, one Christmas, Ke Ji took a plane to visit her abroad, but the plane crashed, and he was left behind on that flight forever.
She even secretly wiped away tears while reading the novel.
Thinking about this, Ke Miantang felt that this fake younger brother could still be saved.
She answered the phone, and before she could even speak gently, the other end exploded: "Sis! You left your name tag at home! It's for the sports meet, we need it tomorrow! Do you want to get disqualified?!"
Ke Miantang held her phone a little further away before remembering that she had an equestrian competition tomorrow against the team from Lingzhou University.
"Oh, then you can bring it to me."
"I'm already at the door!" Ke Ji shouted. "Hurry up and come out, I'm going to be late for class."
Ke Miantang glanced at the screen, resignedly put on her shoes, and walked towards the school gate.
The gates of Chengxin College are usually closed, and a student ID is required to pass through.
Ke Miantang swiped her card and walked out, immediately spotting the motorcycle outside the school gate.
A matte black heavy motorcycle with sharp lines, and a red-haired boy sitting on it.
Her hair was blown about by the wind, each strand exuding a rebellious air.
He was wearing a black leather jacket, the zipper undone, revealing a white T-shirt underneath.
He wore several earrings, arranged from his earlobe all the way to his auricle, making him look like the kind of rebellious teenager that teachers would chase after.
But that face bore a five or six-point resemblance to Ke Miantang's, with beautiful almond-shaped eyes, a pointed chin, and more defined features than hers, carrying the sharpness unique to young people.
"Ke Ji," Ke Miantang called out and jogged over.
There was also a black motorcycle nearby, the roar of its exhaust pipe still vibrating slightly in the air.
There was a man sitting in the car, wearing a black short-sleeved shirt. He was half a head taller than Ke Ji and had broader shoulders.
The man's features were clean-cut, with deep contours, high brow bones, thick eyebrows, and big eyes. His hair was a little messy because of his helmet, with a few stray hairs hanging down in front of his forehead, but the messiness looked good.
Xu Zhonglin was looking down at his phone.
Hearing the noise, he subconsciously looked up and saw Ke Miantang running towards him.
She ran over, creating a gust of wind; her hair flew up and then fell back down, a few strands sticking to the corners of her lips.
As she drew nearer, she stopped, panting, her cheeks flushed, and her lips slightly parted as she breathed.
A gust of wind blew, and the fragrance of her soft hair wafted onto his face.
Xu Zhonglin's heart was pounding, and he almost dropped his phone.
He instinctively clenched his fist, the veins on the back of his hand bulging slightly, his gaze fixed on the ground.
Because she was radiant.
Ke Ji jumped off the motorcycle, his backpack strap slipped down to his elbow, and he pulled out a silver name tag from inside and handed it to her.
"Why are you running so fast? Nobody's chasing you." He said dismissively, but he moved quickly.
Ke Miantang took the name tag, glanced down at it, and confirmed that it was indeed the name tag for the equestrian club's sports meet. Then she looked up at Ke Ji's arrogant red hair.
"Why did you dye your hair again?" Before she could finish speaking, she raised her hand and slapped Ke Ji on the back of the head: "It looks awful."
Ke Ji clutched the back of his head: "Ke Mian Tang! Can you please stop hitting my head? You're making me stupid!"
"I was stupid to begin with." Ke Miantang said without changing her expression.
Ke Ji was furious, but with someone standing next to him, he finally gritted his teeth and lowered his voice: "You wait, don't let me catch you next time."
Ke Miantang ignored him and turned to leave.
Before leaving, she glanced back at Ke Ji and said, "Remember to cheer me on tomorrow. If you don't, you'll see."
After speaking, she glanced at the boy who hadn't moved much beside her, nodded politely, and then walked back to the school gate.
The wrought iron gate slowly closed behind her, and her white dress swayed in the sunlight.
Ke Ji turned his head and found that Xu Zhonglin was still standing in the same spot, still looking at his phone, but the phone screen had long since gone dark.
"Feed him." Ke Ji patted his shoulder.
no response.
"Hey!" Ke Ji slapped him again with more force.
Xu Zhonglin snapped back to his senses, his ears turning an unnatural red, and his breathing became heavy.
"Ke Ji." His voice was hoarse.
"what?"
"That thing just now..."
"My sister," Ke Ji said irritably.
Xu Zhonglin didn't speak for a moment. He stood there, his cheeks flushed.
The wind blew from the main road, lifting his bangs and letting them fall back down.
"Ke Ji".
"What is it now?" Ke Ji was getting impatient and put one foot on the motorcycle footrest.
I think I'm in love.
Ke Ji: "...?"
He looked at his childhood friend, Xu Zhonglin, a prominent figure at Chengxin College Affiliated High School. He was good-looking, academically excellent, and from a good family. Girls from all over the school lined up to give him love letters, but he ignored them all.
Now he's in a relationship, and the person he's dating is actually his sister!
He took a deep breath, got off his motorcycle, walked up to Xu Zhonglin, raised his hand, and slapped him on the back of the head.
With a "snap".
"You little punk, you think you can be my brother-in-law?" Ke Ji cursed as he hopped back onto his motorcycle, fastened his helmet, pulled down his visor, and his muffled voice came from inside: "Give me a break!"
With a roar of its engine, the black motorcycle shot off like an arrow, disappearing into the distance.
Xu Zhonglin stood there, touching the back of his head where he had been slapped; it still hurt.

In the evening, Gao Ruoxi suggested going to the newly opened Japanese restaurant.
Ke Miantang originally didn't have much of an appetite, but over the past month, Rong She had taken her to eat at all the top restaurants in Lingzhou City, and her palate had become quite discerning.
So now, when she hears about a newly opened store, her first reaction isn't anticipation, but rather, "Will it be as good as the ones he took me to?"
She was startled when the thought popped into her head.
"Come on, come on." Cui Lina had already taken her arm. "I heard that the chef was hired from Tokyo. He's been working in Ginza for twenty years, and it's very difficult to get an appointment with him. It wasn't easy for Ruoxi to get a spot."
So, Ke Miantang was dragged out the door by them.
The Japanese restaurant is located in a quiet alley in Gangnam District, with a low-key storefront that is almost overlooked.
Once inside, I discovered a hidden gem; there were only eight seats in front of the sign, but they had booked the whole place for the night.
Ke Miantang sat on the far side, a position from which she could see the entire workbench and every detail of the craftsman's knife work.
The chef took a piece of tuna belly from the wooden box, cut into the fish with the blade, and a piece of fish meat fell silently onto the ceramic plate in front of him.
She picked it up and put it in her mouth. The fat melted on the tip of her tongue, and the sweet taste spread from the back of her tongue to her entire mouth.
good to eat.
But for some reason, I always felt like something was missing.
The system slowly spoke: "You're thinking about Rong She."
Ke Miantang almost choked on the sashimi: "I didn't."
"You did. You chewed a second slower than usual just now, your eyes were glazed over, and the corners of your mouth were slightly downturned. That's the standard expression you have when you're thinking about Rong She."
"...Why are you analyzing my micro-expressions?"
"One of the responsibilities of this system."
Ke Miantang was speechless.
I picked up my teacup and took a sip, trying to banish that face from my mind.
She wasn't thinking about him at all.
It's just that... I haven't gotten used to it yet.
