Shi Dashan didn't know where those people had gone. He wandered around the streets but didn't see a single person.

He would gesture and ask people by name whenever he saw them, and people thought he was crazy and would avoid him when he got close.

As darkness fell, Shi Dashan returned to the inn, dejected and unable to sleep all night.

He knew that even if he found those people, what could he do? He would have no proof of their crimes, and besides, he was alone and vulnerable, which would only bring him trouble.

As soon as the inn door opened, Shi Dashan left with the things he had bought the day before.

Hungry and exhausted, Shi Dashan finally returned home after traversing mountains and valleys.

After Shi Dashan left, the two Shi brothers sought out a local folk healer to treat their injuries. Shi Dahe lost four fingers, and Shi Dashui lost a leg.

Shi Dashui is temporarily unable to move, while Shi Dahe has only lost fingers on his left hand, which does not affect his cooking. He traded the game he hunted with the villagers for some grain, and he is currently cooking in the kitchen.

When he saw Shi Dashan return, his eyes shone brightly. "Brother, you're back! You bought so many things."

"Did you get all 100 taels of silver back?"

It would be better if the silver wasn't mentioned, because the moment it was brought up, he would fly into a rage and tell the truth: "The silver has been stolen."

Shi Dahe yelled, "What did you say! The silver was stolen? Did they steal all 100 taels?" He just couldn't believe it!

"Yes, they were all stolen."

Shi Dahe laughed heartily, "Brother, you wouldn't be hiding the silver, planning to keep it all for yourself, would you?"

"Do you think I'm that kind of person? It really was stolen from me."

"They gave me two 50-tael silver notes, which I kept in my pocket. They were stolen on the street in Qingshui Town. They stuffed two pieces of paper into my pocket, which I kept thinking were silver notes. I only realized it when I got back to the inn."

I immediately went out to look for the thief, but I couldn't find a trace of him.

"Brother, keep making things up. No one would believe you even if you told a ghost what you were saying."

How stupid can you be? You didn't even realize someone had put their hand in your lap.

"You'll get a share of this silver, even if you don't want to. My third brother and I can't have taken the beatings for nothing."

"So what do you want?"

"We'll split the silver. 100 taels, 30 taels each for the three of us brothers, and the extra 10 taels is yours. Tie Niu, you're a good friend, aren't you?"

Hearing the noise, Shi Dashui came over leaning on his cane. "Big brother, second brother, are we going to divide the silver? I'm here."

"Big Brother wants to pocket the 100 taels and doesn't want to give us a single tael."

Shi Dashui looked at Shi Dashan and said, "Brother, you can't do this. Look at me and my second brother, neither of us is without serious injuries. We took these injuries for you. If we hadn't shielded you from the disaster, you wouldn't be standing here unharmed."

"Third brother is right. We each want 30 taels, you want 40 taels, and we'll even give you the Iron Ox. What more could you want?"

I know that because of the Liu family and Tie Niu incident, we brothers are only superficially united and don't like us. Da Shui and I promise that as long as you give us the money, we will separate and live separately, and we will never be in your way.

"Then we'll each buy a wife and live our own lives. There'll be no need to fight over wives or sons; it'll be better for everyone."

"Big brother, second brother is right, that's what I was thinking too. Hurry up and take out the money, or we'll go and reason with Father."

Tie Niu stood aside watching his three fathers. He understood some of what they were saying. The eldest father didn't want to share the money with the second and third fathers. It didn't matter whether they shared it or not, since the money belonged to them and would eventually be his. He really didn't understand why they cared about such things.

Shi Dashan was completely enraged by their words. He had lost his wife, had no money, and now they wanted to dump a bastard on him. He hated himself for not standing up for his wife back then, instead letting things slide and blaming her for everything.

He was filled with resentment; he had ruined his perfectly good life.

He hated himself, but he hated his two younger brothers and his father even more. If it weren't for his father's tacit approval, they wouldn't have been so unscrupulous.

Shi Dashan slowly raised his lowered eyelids, his eyes filled with raging fury as he looked at the two brothers. He roared, "You two beasts, you've brought this upon me! You should atone for your mistakes!"

Shi Dashan's eyes were bloodshot as he looked at the kitchen knife on the table. Shi Dahe and Shi Dashui were frightened. "Brother, what are you trying to do? We're brothers, you can't do something stupid."

Shi Dahe watched as Shi Dashan went to grab a kitchen knife. Both of them were injured and no match for him. "Third brother, run!"

Shi Dashui's leg is broken, he can't run at all. "Second brother, you can't leave me behind."

Shi Dahe's hand injury didn't affect his movement, so he didn't care about Shi Dashui anymore. He had already run out of the yard, shouting as he ran, "Help! Help! Shi Dashan has gone mad and is going to kill someone!"

Several nearby households heard the shouts and immediately came out to check. They saw Shi Dahe looking terrified and flustered. "Let's go and see what happened. We need to send someone to inform the village chief immediately."

Several villagers were the first to enter the Shi family's house. They saw Shi Dashui lying in a pool of blood, his lower body covered in crimson. Shi Dashan was holding a bloody mess in his hand, and his smile was horrifying.

The villagers dared not approach, retreating far away in fear as they waited for the village chief to arrive.

A villager shouted to Shi Dashan, "Dashan, don't be impulsive. We're all brothers. What grudges can't be resolved? Put down the knife and don't hurt yourself."

Shi Dashan had gone mad. He came out of the kitchen with a kitchen knife in his hand, yelling, "Shi Dahe, get out here! I'm going to chop you up!"

The villagers were so frightened that they ran away, afraid that Shi Dashan would kill them.

The village chief arrived, panting, while Shi Dahe hid behind the crowd, his neck hunched over.

"Dashan, put the knife down first. Tell me what happened, and I'll help you get revenge."

Shi Dashan roared, "Shi Dahe, get out here!" His eyes scanned the crowd, and finally he spotted Shi Dahe hiding behind the crowd.

Shi Dahe felt a chill run down his spine. He looked up and saw Shi Dashan charging towards him. The villagers, seeing him rushing forward aggressively, automatically made way for him.

Seeing that things were going badly, Shi Dahe took off running, crying, "Village chief, save me..."

Shi Dahe ran ahead, while Shi Dashan, carrying a kitchen knife, chased after him with a ferocious expression, looking like a demon from hell. The villagers dared not stop him when they saw this scene.

While instructing people to check on Shi Dashui, the village chief led his men to chase after Shi Dashan.

Because Shi Dashan had just walked so many mountain roads, he was too tired to keep up with Shi Dahe.

The villagers swung sticks at Shi Dashan, but he ignored them and brandished a kitchen knife.

The villagers were always wary of the kitchen knife in his hand and dared not get too close, fearing that he might accidentally throw the knife and hurt them. They felt it wasn't worth risking their own lives for someone else's sake.

Shi Dahe was so focused on running that he didn't pay attention to the path he was on. He stepped into a ditch and fell down. He turned around and saw that Shi Dashan had caught up with him. He got up and ran again, only to find that he had twisted his ankle.

He endured the pain and continued running, but his speed immediately slowed down.

Seeing that Shi Dahe's foot was injured, Shi Dashan, holding his breath, rushed over, tackled him, and chopped off his foot. "I'll teach you to run, I'll teach you to run..."

Shi Dahe was in so much pain he was about to faint. Shi Dashan, just like Shi Dashui, took his manhood.

The cleaver clattered to the ground, and the man passed out.
