Dual Transmigration: Starting from being captured and brought to the Hehuan Sect!
Chapter 318 Becoming a Pirate
Lin Mo stood still, without moving or offering any explanation.
At this moment, his appearance has been adjusted through the Thirty-Six Transformations, making him almost identical to the crab-like creature in the team before, even replicating the texture of his carapace and the arrangement of his six legs to a recognizable degree.
Upon seeing that it was a crab, the primate breathed a long sigh of relief:
"What the hell?! That scared me to death! I thought it was an enemy!"
"It's nothing, I was just worried something might happen to you, so I came with you."
Lin Mo mimicked the tone and rhythm of crabs and gave a brief reply.
The primate did not ask any further questions or express any doubt; it simply turned around and continued walking down the corridor.
Lin Mo followed behind it, maintaining the gait rhythm of a crab-like creature while quickly calculating in his mind.
The opponent has an energy shield, and it's uncertain whether it can break through it in one strike. If it fails to break through the energy shield and gives the opponent time to report back, it will be troublesome.
"It seems that sending the other party to World One through physical contact is not a viable option."
Lin Mo frowned slightly, then suddenly spoke:
"Wait a moment."
The primate alien stopped and turned to look at him:
"What's wrong, Crab?"
"I feel like there's something in my eyes."
Lin Mo stared intently into the other person's eyes as he spoke.
Caught off guard, the primate alien naturally met his gaze.
The instant their eyes met, a glint of light flashed deep within Lin Mo's pupils, and the mental power of the Mind-Bending Technique silently seeped into the depths of the other's perception.
The primate alien's body trembled slightly, as if something had gently nudged it from within. A few seconds later, its gaze returned to normal, but with a touch more solemnity.
"Owner."
Its voice was lower, carrying a sense of submissiveness.
Just call me sir.
Tell me about your situation.
Lin Mo breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing that the alien primate had succeeded. It seemed that the alien's physical strength was very weak and that it relied entirely on external forces.
Without hesitation, the primate alien succinctly explained its origins:
"To the person answering, my home planet is Beta in the Beta Galaxy, and it's called Carter."
Originally working and living in the palace, he was hunted down after accidentally witnessing the affair between the prince and queen. With nowhere to run, he fled to the Chaotic Star Sea and eventually joined this pirate crew.
Carter then gave a brief overview of the pirate crew and his own situation.
The entire gang consisted of about a thousand people, which was not considered a large size in the Chaotic Star Sea area.
The leader is said to be a wanted criminal from a Level 4 civilization who has committed numerous murders in the home star system, and there are bounty records for him in multiple star regions.
He brought with him a Level 4 civilization warship and a number of supporting weapons. With these weapons, the team only operated within the Chaotic Star Sea, specializing in robbing passing Level 3 civilization merchant ships, and never actively provoking transport ships of Level 4 high-level civilizations.
Having learned more about the situation, Lin Mo didn't linger. With a thought, he sent Carter to World One.
Then Lin Mo's body surface began to slowly adjust, changing in the direction of Carter's appearance.
The posture of the limbs on the ground, the proportions of the bones, and the texture of the skin were all calibrated to be exactly the same.
After the adjustments were completed, Lin Mo signaled to Carter to take off his equipment.
A hint of tension flashed across Carter's face, and his eyes unconsciously darted around.
It was as if they were confirming whether they could adapt to the alien environment.
But he didn't dare refuse Lin Mo's request. After taking a deep breath, he lowered his head and began to unfasten the fastening buckle.
They unloaded their combat uniforms and equipment one by one and placed them neatly at their feet.
The whole process was quick, but less than a moment after the last piece of equipment left his body, Carter's breathing suddenly became erratic.
It made a short, disjointed sound from its throat, as if something was blocking its trachea.
Then its limbs began to twitch slightly, its body tilted to one side and fell to the ground, as if some unseen force was pressing down on its chest, and it quickly became completely quiet.
Lin Mo stood to the side, watching this scene, slightly stunned, before realizing what was happening.
The atmospheric composition, pressure, and oxygen concentration of Earth are not suitable for all intelligent life.
The reason the lizardmen have been unharmed is because the atmospheric conditions in the binary star system are not much different from those on Earth.
But Carter comes from the Beta galaxy, and its physiology and respiratory system have clearly not been adapted to this environment.
He crouched down to check Carter's pulse; it had completely stopped.
Lin Mo put Carter's body into his spatial storage, picked up the combat suit and armor that had been placed at his feet, and put them on one by one.
With a thought, he returned to the main world.
Back inside the transport ship, Lin Mo continued walking towards the stern along the route Carter had taken.
He went to complete the mission that Carter had just been interrupted:
Check that the fasteners connecting the pirate ship and the transport ship are secure.
The transport ship's engines have completely lost power and it is unable to move on its own. The entire ship is now relying entirely on the drag force of the pirate ship to maintain its direction.
Lin Mo walked along the corridor, through two hatches, and through a short connecting passage exposed to the vacuum, until he arrived at the connection point.
The shape of the metal buckle was not much different from what he had expected. Several sets of mechanical claws were fastened to the edge of the transport ship's hull, and the locking status light was on in green.
He bent down and glanced around, confirming that all the indicator lights were lit up normally and there were no obvious signs of stress deformation or loosening. Then, without lingering, he turned and went back.
On his way back, he passed through several hatches and encountered several other pirates.
Those people were carrying several disassembled communication modules out of the cockpit, talking in hushed tones as they walked. When they saw him, they merely glanced up at him without pausing or asking any questions.
Lin Mo didn't stop or strike up a conversation. He simply walked steadily with Carter's usual quadrupedal gait and met up with the two aliens from before.
After a long while, the pirate ship started towing, and the transport ship was changed direction, heading towards a small celestial body in the distance.
The celestial body had no atmosphere, and its surface was covered with fine impact craters and weathered rock layers, its outline resembling an asteroid forgotten on the edge of its orbit.
During the flight, the pirates on the transport ship still conducted several rounds of patrols, trying to find the crew who should have been on board.
If it weren't for the fact that the entire ship's systems showed no autopilot program, they would have even suspected that the ship was unmanned from the beginning.
Two weeks later, the spacecraft landed on the surface of the asteroid.
The pirates left the ship's cabin one by one and moved along a carved-out passage toward an artificial structure inside the asteroid.
Lin Mo walked in the middle to the back of the group. After observing for a while, he noticed that there were about a hundred pirates on this mission. They were all different in appearance and each had distinct species characteristics.
