Huayu: Enjoy Yourself

Chapter 44 Rebirth: I Love Surfing

"Guys, I secretly took a picture of a beautiful woman at the coffee shop today. Let's all take a look!"

"【picture】"

"Holy crap, bro, that's amazing! The photos look so good!"

"Dude, you won't mind if I lick the screen, right? *slurp*"

"Where? Report immediately, I'm going to stake out the area!"

『.』

After getting the photos out, Chen An registered a new account called "I'm Really Not a Director" and posted them online, attracting a large number of respectable people to view them.

In this day and age, it's easy for posts featuring beautiful women to attract viewers in places where netizens gather.

It had only been posted for an hour when it had already garnered numerous comments, demonstrating a surfing speed comparable to that of later generations.

Seeing that the fish had taken the bait, Chen An waited for time to develop the story and continued to refresh the comments.

With my professional filming skills and Zeng Li's beauty, which is said to be "once in two hundred years at the Central Academy of Drama," even though the school isn't even a hundred years old, I still managed to easily hook you guys!

I registered another new account, "I'm Really Not a Photographer," and started stirring up trouble.

"Wait, isn't this Zeng Li from our school? When was this taken?"

"Dude, do you know her?"

"How could I not know her? I heard she's been chosen as the lead actress in Chen An's new film from the school next door."

"No way? Really? She's the female lead in Chen An's new film?!"

"It's all over our school; someone saw her bringing back a script."

『.』

As seen above, both of these conversations are between Chen An and Chen An.

By constantly switching between accounts and commenting back and forth, Zeng Li's identity in the photos was unwittingly revealed.

Chen An seemed to be having a lot of fun directing and acting like this, even though it was for publicity, it was completely unnecessary.

Chen An did this entirely to satisfy his perverse tastes in surfing and fishing.

He quite likes it this way, and lately he's been sitting in the office he didn't used to frequent.

The computers inside were good, and the internet connection they'd moved over was quite fast. Chen An entertained himself inside.

As Chen An's alternate account was exposed, more and more netizens were attracted and came to comment.

"This is the female lead in Chen An's new film. I'm starting to look forward to it, hehe~"

"Directors from the Beijing Film Academy really do have good taste; they didn't make a mistake in choosing candidates from two different schools."

"Dude, you're so lucky to have bumped into this place! Send me the location, I want to try my luck too."

"I hereby declare that although Yu Jinghong is not the female lead in the new film, I will still support it, mainly because I particularly enjoy Director Chen's work."

"I agree with your announcement. It's hard for a director of so many excellent films not to support it."

『.』

Chen An scoffed at the netizens' discussions, saying that only two movies had been released, and so many of them were excellent.

I know exactly what you're thinking; if you didn't have those thoughts, you wouldn't be commenting.

"That was great. I'll check back tomorrow. Netizens are always so talented, no matter the era." Chen An read the comments all day.

Many netizens laughed so hard they almost choked, and after sitting all day, they decided to go out for a walk.

Chen An stood up, stretched, relaxed his body, and warmed up before heading home to eat the food he had bought on the way.

Hu Hong is a film enthusiast.

He has experience with various types of films, both domestic and international, and is considered a seasoned enthusiast. He comes from a well-off family and dabbled in photography for a while, so he is also a seasoned photography enthusiast.

It's been four years since I graduated. In my spare time, I like to buy a few movie DVDs to watch or play on the internet. I like to browse all kinds of websites.

After a long day at work, I browsed various websites and read comments from netizens, as usual.

Not long after, I came across a comment section where netizens gathered, and there was a picture of a beautiful woman on it.

Below are a dense array of comments, and scrolling down, I saw someone suddenly reveal that this is the female lead in Chen An's new film.

Hu Hong was also attracted to Chen An, the rising star director, who was now the female lead in his new film.

This is the actress who was reportedly selected through auditions at the Central Academy of Drama and the Beijing Film Academy, but no major newspapers have confirmed this.

All we know is that the casting has been finalized, but no one has been revealed. Now that this has been leaked online, we don't know if it's true or not.

Thinking about all this, Hu Hong zoomed in on the picture above. It was indeed a stunningly beautiful woman, but Hu Hong felt a sense of familiarity when he looked at the photo.

The composition and lighting seem somewhat familiar, but I can't quite place it.

This gave him a vague memory, but he couldn't recall where he had seen a similar style before. He racked his brains but couldn't figure it out, and eventually gave up.

Continuing to scroll through the comments, I saw the comment that broke the story and learned where the information came from. It seems to be from a student at the same school as the woman in the photo.

He then continued browsing other comments.

After looking at it for a while, I realized it was getting late and I had to go to work tomorrow, so I shut down my computer, tidied up, and prepared to go to sleep. But before falling asleep, I thought about that picture again.

The next day, Hu Hong was in a daze all day after work. This feeling of vaguely remembering something but not being able to recall it made him very uncomfortable.

Back home, he continued browsing the website from yesterday. As time passed, more and more people entered the site, eager to see what the female protagonist, chosen from a school full of handsome men and beautiful women, was like.

There were more comments than yesterday, with Zeng Li's pictures attracting a large number of people.

After watching for a while, Hu Hong took out the DVD he had bought at the DVD store that day and planned to watch it again, even though he had already seen it when it was released.

I happened to come across something related to Chen An, so I thought I'd rewatch this movie.

Hu Hong immediately pressed pause when the disc was put into the player and started playing. However, when the camera stopped on Yu Jinghong's character, Shizi, sitting at the dining table eating bread alone, Hu Hong immediately pressed pause!

"Yes! That's it!" Hu Hong exclaimed excitedly as he looked at the paused screen on TV.

This was the feeling of familiarity he had with Zeng Li's photo; he had finally found it.

I immediately turned on my computer, found the website I had visited before, and compared them; they were indeed similar.

Then they found the ID of the person who broke the news, "I'm really not a photographer," and the ID of the person who took the photos and posted them online, "I'm really not a director." It felt like the two IDs were cut from the same mold.

Suddenly, a somewhat outrageous idea popped into Hu Hong's mind, but he silently shook his head and muttered to himself, "It can't be that bad, can it?"

He simply couldn't believe that a big-name director could do something like this online.

But they still managed to get their hands on photos of "Little Forest" and post them out, also including a comparison photo of Zeng Li.

She also posted her experiences, feelings, and thoughts from the past two days on it, and because it was quite long, she divided it into several paragraphs.

After sending all of these messages, I felt much better and continued watching the DVDs I had just bought.

At first, it didn't cause a stir, but as Zeng Li's photos were posted on various websites by netizens, more and more people flocked to the site to see the beautiful woman.

Many people noticed his comment and compared the two pictures.

"You know what, even though they don't look alike, the vibe in the photos is really similar."

"This ID is so casually chosen, could it really be Chen An himself?"

"Director + cinematographer, case closed. The director with a cinematography background is none other than Chen An himself."

"If it really is him, I'd laugh myself to death!"

"Haha, that's true. If it really is him, I'll definitely support his movie, since he's even putting on a show himself!"

"Answer me now! I'm really not the photographer, and I'm really not the director. Come out and prove your innocence, or we'll assume he's telling the truth."

『.』

Meanwhile, the person they suspected was discussing filming with Han Sanping.

First, prepare and organize the film crew so that we can start filming as soon as the script is approved.

Moreover, the actors have been contacted almost completely. The parents of the four male and female leads are all veteran actors, and the rest are similar.

Duan Long was also brought in to play the suited man who goes on a blind date with the female lead.

Chen An, who was originally a deserter, was transformed into a security guard. However, he stole the gun and approached Fu Dalong, a fellow acting student in the same year as him, who did not refuse.

Besides these, there are also many extras to arrange, making the filming much more difficult than the previous movie.

Busy with this and that, they were completely unaware that their fishing identity seemed to have been exposed.

My head is spinning, I'm praying for everything in the New Year.
