Huayu: Enjoy Yourself

Chapter 51 A Frenzied Little Life

After media coverage, online promotion definitely needs to follow. 🎄💀 ❻➈𝓼Ĥυ𝔵.ᑕ𝕠𝓂 🐤🐯

Of course, Chen An won't personally participate in this skit, and he probably won't in the future either.

Netizens are too awesome; they accidentally exposed themselves, and then they were socially embarrassed.

Chen An didn't want to go through that again, so this time he left it to the media to promote online.

Director Chen An's "Little Forest: Winter/Spring" is set to release on December 24th, as winter arrives and snow falls heavily!

"Forest Goddess Yu Jinghong's Winter Edition is here, once again taking you to appreciate the beauty of nature!"

Director Chen An: "Little Forest: Winter/Spring" features a dramatic winter season, bringing a snowy feast to moviegoers in the south!

According to Yu Jinghong, most of the vegetables used in "Little Forest" were grown by director Chen An himself!

They used the media's usual publicity methods. At that time, the "shocking" school had not yet emerged, so the publicity intensity was not very high.

But it's better than nothing, since marketing and distribution are a very important part of a film.

If you just hang a poster in a movie theater, who will know who you are? Besides, people usually have already decided who they want to see in a movie theater.

In 06, when the internet was already quite developed, "Crazy Stone" was released with virtually no promotion.

Thanks to word-of-mouth from netizens and some media outlets, achieving a box office of 26 million is already considered a box office miracle that has shocked the industry!

Director Ning Hao became famous overnight!

The second installment, "Crazy Racer," was created by the original team, and with the added promotion, Ning Hao directly entered the then-rare club of directors who have achieved 100 million yuan in box office revenue.

It solidified his status as a genius director of commercial films, and his multi-narrative and dark humor style made his films beloved.

In some ways, "Crazy Stone" is better, but it had less funding, poorer picture quality, and less cinematography, plus virtually no promotion.

So getting 26 million is already a box office miracle.

When a film is sold as a commercial tool, promotion becomes an indispensable aspect.

The same applies to "Little Forest".

Since they've made money, they definitely need to promote it. And as the world's second-largest box office market after the most successful previous film, Little Life certainly needs to promote itself.

The plane that took off from Beijing landed in Tokyo.

Led by personnel arranged by the Beijing Film Studio, the film crew also exited the airport.

To be honest, this was Chen An's first time visiting this birthplace of anime and manga, though it had been his first time in both his previous lives.

As the world's second-largest economy, Tokyo's development is not to be underestimated; it is even more developed than Beijing today.

As I drove along the road, I saw all sorts of tall buildings and modern facilities.

His image is almost identical to the one seen in later film and television works.

It truly deserves its reputation as the most developed city in Asia today, but it also shows that they have reached the end of their road.

The country is still developing rapidly and changing every day.

In another ten years or so, it will soar into the sky, shocking the world and proving that all the world's worries were not in vain.

They've really become incredibly powerful, capable of going head-to-head with the US in both military and economic terms!

The location for this film promotion was none other than Tokyo TV, the infamous "traitor to Japan" in the previous life.

This is an amazing TV station that continued broadcasting anime even after the earthquake and the death of the prime minister.

It's said to have domestic funding, but I don't know if that's true or not.

The movie "Little Forest" has a comforting, everyday feel to it, and if it can attract the largest audience of this TV station...

If anime fans come to watch, it will definitely be a good source of tickets.

The first half of the film wasn't heavily promoted during its theatrical run in Japan, yet it still grossed over 2 billion yen at the box office and was very popular.

Although it's a Chinese-language film, it doesn't have much impact here, as Hong Kong films are frequently bombarded with similar content here.

Moreover, the distributors of "Little Days" are happy to see this happen, since they'll be making more money than domestic films anyway.

Since our own people like it so much, why not do it?

Others are making money anyway, so I might as well make it.

Chen An and Yu Jinghong underestimated the madness of Xiao Rizi's fans. Fortunately, Chen An was just a director.

Although he's not bad looking, the movie's lead actor is what the audience cares about most.

The promotional event was packed with people because of Yu Jinghong's arrival, even though only one movie was being shown on that day.

As expected, it's true that outsiders are better at chanting scriptures; we don't usually see them, and now they're even more outrageous.

"Little Forest" was released on a small day and grossed more than 20 billion yen at the box office without much publicity, and even the crew members never came to see it.

The distributor simply used their self-edited trailer and a few photos to promote the product and that was it.

This shows how much fans love "Little Days".

They especially liked the youthful, beautiful, and healing female lead, Yu Jinghong.

After the announcement was made in advance, a group of enthusiastic fans gathered outside the TV station.

"Persimmon Jam, look at me, I love you!"

"Marry me, Persimmon Jam!"

"Look at my persimmon jam, can I get your autograph?"

"I'm from Hokkaido, it's so nice to see you, Jam!"

The frenzy on set startled everyone in the crew, but thankfully staff members intervened beforehand.

Otherwise, the crew's security guards wouldn't be enough to handle them.

Dozens of fans held out posters, hoping Yu Jinghong would sign them.

He was shouting in Japanese that the others couldn't understand.

Yu Jinghong was also shocked by the scene; it was the first time she had ever seen such a scene with such crazy fans.

However, she still smiled and waved to everyone present, but she hid next to Chen Ansheng and didn't dare to get close enough to sign an autograph.

It's still a bit scary.

Xiao Rizi's fans are known for their fervor.

Of course, he is willing to spend money, unlike the men in China who like to get things for free.

"Come on, let's go inside quickly, it'll be troublesome if there are even more people crowding in later." Seeing the situation, Chen An said to Yu Jinghong beside him.

He led a few crew members ahead to clear the way, letting Yu Jinghong go in first.

"Hurry up too." After walking in first, Yu Jinghong turned back to tell Chen An to come in quickly as well.

Chen An followed and squeezed in, quite easily, mainly because the fans weren't surrounding him.

Once inside, I felt much more relaxed and was able to enter the studio smoothly with the help of the TV station staff.

Before the show started, the group sat in the lounge to calm themselves down. It would be a lie to say they weren't scared being surrounded by so many people.

This situation has never been encountered before in the country.

Yu Jinghong, who was most affected, never imagined she would be so popular on Xiao Rizi (a Chinese social networking site), and she no longer dares to travel here.

The show didn't start until half an hour later.

Only three people appeared on the show: Chen An, Yu Jinghong, and a translator.

That's how you communicate effectively; otherwise, you could chatter on and on all day without ever knowing what the other person is saying.

Yu Jinghong doesn't understand Japanese at all, and Chen An doesn't know much either, but what he does know, he can't bring to the show.

Unlike domestic interviews that focus on Chen An, most of the interviews were conducted with Yu Jinghong.

I asked them some questions they liked to ask about everyday life, and they also liked to ask about interesting things that happened during filming.

Of course, they also asked about her relationship with Chen An.

Upon hearing the translation, Chen An immediately denied it, saying that the two were just friends.

He dared not accept the offer, and Yu Jinghong himself did not express any opinion, as he did not want to get involved in this mess.

Fans of Xiao Rizi are not incapable of stalking and ambushing, as evidenced by today's scene.

Chen An felt that his life was more important.

I'm here to make money off you, not to risk my life. Chen An had heard a lot about the reputation of the Japanese server's Graves.

There have been numerous incidents in this area where fans, dissatisfied with the plot development of a work, have assaulted the author.

The world is full of strange things, so there's no need to be surprised.

After the interview, Yu Jinghong did not bring up Chen An's denial of their relationship.

That's how their relationship is.

Well, it's a relatively pure and simple relationship, nothing more.

Although she knew where Chen An's house was, she had never been there; she always asked Chen An to come to her house.

The group also visited several other promotional locations, but this time they were prepared and nothing like what happened before occurred.

After a total of five days of promotion, the group flew back to Beijing.

The next promotional event will be after the film's release, but Chen An won't be going; he'll stay in China and leave his life to Yu Jinghong.
