I started by enhancing cancer cells and uniquely obtained the Godhood Sequence.

"This is way too much!"

Yan Zhou swallowed hard and stood there, stunned.

There were far too many level 2 ogres, several times more than the number of players present, far exceeding his expectations.

Moreover, behind those monsters stood a giant ogre that was nearly two and a half meters tall. It looked extremely terrifying and was clearly not someone to be trifled with.

Li Feng shrank back in fear: "Brother Yan, what should we do? Should we go in first?"

Yan Zhou gritted his teeth and said, "Go! The first to charge in gets the meat. You organize several small teams to follow us. Prioritize ensuring our main force can break through to the core layer. Our target is the ogre BOSS at the back!"

Li Feng nodded: "Okay, I'll listen to Brother Yan."

Soon, Yanzhou organized a task force to tackle the problem.

"Brothers! Follow me!"

Yan Zhou waved his hand, directing the troops to advance.

Li Mingliang and Jiang Yuanji also noticed his movements and reacted immediately when they saw him preparing to rush towards the BOSS.

"Men, keep up, we're going to fight the boss!"

"Charge! Let's steal the boss!"

"Hahaha, the boss is mine!"

"..."

In an instant, all three groups began to charge towards the ogre boss.

Half an hour later, a system notification came:

[Ding! Congratulations to player Yan Zhou for successfully defeating the giant ogre. Reward: Silver Treasure Chest *1]

"I killed the boss! I killed him!"

Yan Zhou was overjoyed.

"Brother Yan is awesome!"

"My god, the boss of Yanzhou is amazing!"

The people below cheered.

Yan Zhou's [Thunderfire] seized the opportunity and successfully finished off the giant ogre, completing the kill.

Yan Zhou was also very excited as he looked at the silver treasure chest in his backpack.

Unexpectedly, in addition to the rewards from the ranking list, defeating the Beast Tide BOSS also yields treasure chest rewards.

Li Mingliang and Jiang Yuanji were quite unconvinced after receiving the tip.

There was no other way; their numbers were too small, and both of their divinely bestowed talents were melee-oriented.

If you cannot break through to the core layer, you cannot launch an effective attack.

"Hmph, you just wait!"

Li Mingliang snorted coldly.

Just as everyone was debating who would get the boss, the notification of the beast horde respawning sounded again:

[Ding! The giant ogre has been defeated. The fifth wave of beasts is approaching. Players, please prepare.]

[10, 9, 8...]

"What's going on? The fifth wave of beasts!"

Yan Zhou and the others were greatly surprised.

Keep in mind that although the BOSS has been killed, most of the ogres on the playground are still left to be cleared.

There are even more monsters than players!

Upon hearing that the fifth wave of beasts was about to spawn, other ordinary players also began to panic.

"Holy crap, are you kidding me? Are you trying again?"

"That doesn't make sense. Shouldn't the beast tide only respawn after all the monsters have been cleared out?"

"Yeah, and this beast tide didn't give us any rest time!"

"..."

Just as the players were talking, the teleportation arrays around the playground once again emitted bursts of energy.

As the countdown ended, a new monster appeared before the players.

The mummy, wrapped in white bandages, slowly walked out of the teleportation array.

They are smaller than ogres and look just like ordinary people.

The only exposed teeth were incredibly sharp, resembling demons crawling up from hell.

【mummy】

[Level: 3]

[Skill: Bandage Entanglement (Increases defense by 10%)]

It's clear that level 3 mummies are a monster horde even more powerful than the recent cannibalistic monster tide.

Moreover, there are even more!

"Damn, how come there are still so many!"

Even Yan Zhou, who always maintained his composure, couldn't help but curse.

The number of mummies was no less than, and perhaps even greater than, the number of ogres from before.

Looking around, the playground, which wasn't small to begin with, was almost completely filled with monsters.

The battlefield, which had been barely maintaining its balance, changed dramatically the moment these monsters appeared.

"Ah! Help! Help!"

"So many monsters! I can't take it anymore! Let me out!"

"Please, please, make way! My girlfriend is hurt!"

"..."

On the distant battlefield, more and more players were unable to hold on and began to panic and run away haphazardly.

Yan Zhou, leaning on his teammate's shoulder, shouted loudly:

"Brothers, hold on! Don't retreat! Charge! Don't retreat!!!"

At this moment, even Li Mingliang and Jiang Yuanji, who regarded him as an opponent, made the same choice.

"Don't back down! Anyone who dares to retreat, I'll kill them!"

"When two armies meet on a narrow path, the brave will prevail! Brothers, follow me!"

All three of them were trying their best to control the situation.

However, the situation developed in a way that exceeded everyone's expectations.

After suffering heavy casualties, the players in the front row began to panic.

Gradually, the formation that had been organized at the beginning began to fall apart.

In the blink of an eye, the promising situation collapsed.

Neither Yanzhou nor Li Mingliang could stop this war that was destined to fail.

"No, Brother Yan, there are just too many monsters. Let's retreat."

Li Feng said, his forehead covered in sweat.

Yan Zhou was somewhat unwilling, but seeing that deserters were already starting to appear in the ranks, he could only grit his teeth and nod: "Let's go, gather all the main force members, we're retreating!"

Li Feng was startled: "Brother Yan, aren't we calling the other team members?"

Yan Zhou said with a gloomy face, "How big can Nanshan Academy be? If we all retreat together, where can we lead the monster? Are we all going to die together?"

Li Feng hesitated for a moment, then nodded.

Yan Zhou's ruthlessness was not wrong.

In the end times, nothing is more important than one's own life.

It's better to sacrifice others than yourself.

"What a pity..."

Before leaving, Yan Zhou glanced back at the large group of people on the playground.

He thought this would be the beginning of his glorious career, but it ended before it even started.

Yan Zhou climbed to a high point and looked out. Not far away, Li Mingliang and Jiang Yuanji's troops also began to retreat.

Li Mingliang is a smart man; he chose to keep only his core team.

However, Jiang Yuanji was a fool; he actually thought of taking everyone away.

"That's fine. You guys cover our retreat, kill as many monsters as possible, and I'll come back to fight them all once I've recovered!"

Yan Zhou snorted coldly in his heart.

Just as they were retreating with their men, a series of world announcements appeared in the sky, displaying large golden characters:

[World Announcement: The Yan Kingdom's 14059 beginner area has been overrun by monsters and has become a no-man's land.]

[World Announcement: The newbie zone 4568 in Sakura Country has been overrun by monsters and has become a no-man's land.]

[World Announcement: The newbie zone in the Lighthouse Nation 14355 has been overrun by monsters and turned into a no-man's land.]

【…】

Standing on the rooftop closest to the sky, Lin Mo saw the global announcement immediately.

However, he didn't seem too surprised, as if he had expected it.

Lin Mo gazed at the fleeing crowd on the playground not far away, and the countless monsters, a cold smile appearing on his lips:

"The hunt can finally begin..."
