The sky curtain makes you a useless class monitor, yet you act arbitrarily for eternity?

She swung her heavy sword and ran back the way she came.

The soldier ants blocking the way had just raised their heads when the heavy sword swept across them.

"Bang!"

The hard shell shattered on the spot, and green juice splashed onto the sword and Mengzhu's face.

Mengzhu did not stop.

She pushed through the bushes and rushed forward along the uneven mountain path.

"You must hang in there!"

"wait for me!"

A dozen or so soldier ants fell from the tree, blocking the narrow mountain path.

"Get out of here!"

"Get out of my way, all of you!"

Mengzhu gripped the heavy sword and spun around, the heavy blade sweeping across the ground.

The soldier ants at the front were knocked away, and then crashed into several of their kind behind them.

She forced her way through the brief opening.

Its sharp mandibles bit her shoulder from the side and behind.

"puff!"

Blood splattered on the tree trunk.

Mengzhu grunted, grabbed the soldier ant with her backhand, and ripped it off, tearing a piece of flesh from her shoulder in the process.

She didn't even glance at her wound, and continued running with her sword.

The team-up interface floats at the edge of the field of view.

Jiang Liyu's health bar, which was originally close to full, has now dropped to one-third.

And it's still declining.

"Wait for me a little longer..."

"Little Fish, wait for me a moment!"

Mengzhu rushed around the bend in the forest, and as soon as her front foot stepped onto the slope, she suddenly heard a dull cracking sound under her feet.

A crack quickly spread out from her feet.

Mengzhu looked down.

"No--"

"Boom!"

The loose soil layer collapsed entirely.

Mengzhu's feet slipped, and her body rolled down the mountainside along with the loose rocks.

The greatsword slipped from her hand and crashed onto a nearby rock.

She crashed into two small trees, breaking them in one fell swoop, and then her back slammed heavily against a protruding rock.

"Snap!"

The sound of bones breaking came from his waist.

Mengzhu opened her mouth and spat out a mouthful of blood, her blood volume instantly dropping to less than a quarter.

The gravel was still sliding down.

She reached out to grab the nearby tree roots, but as soon as her five fingers gripped the soil, her falling body dragged her down, leaving several bloody streaks.

"Bang!"

Mengzhu fell to the bottom of the cliff, her cheek pressed against the cold gravel, her vision blurring.

"puff!"

Another mouthful of blood spurted from her mouth.

【HP: 41%】

【HP: 28%】

【HP: 19%】

The damage from the continuous falls instantly reduced her health bar by more than half.

"Little...fish..."

Mengzhu braced herself on her elbows, trying to get up, but the sharp pain in her waist made her fall back down.

The team-up interface is still floating in front of me.

Jiang Liyu's health bar has turned completely red.

[Jiang Liyu: Health Points 31%]

[Jiang Liyu: Health Points 27%]

[Jiang Liyu: Health Points 22%]

Mengzhu gritted her teeth, dragged her numb left leg forward a few steps, and finally grabbed the heavy sword that had fallen not far away.

She used her sword to support herself on the ground and stood up unsteadily.

Looking up, the cliff face is at least ten meters high.

The collapsed soil continues to slide down, and the original road has completely disappeared.

The only way to the top of the cliff is the narrow path on the left.

On that road, countless soldier ants were climbing upwards.

—The mountaintop.

Jiang Liyu leaned against the boulder, her ice-blue longsword already chipped.

Three notches appeared on the sword's edge.

Her clothes were torn in several places, and her right arm, waist, and calf were covered with wounds.

Blood flowed down her fingers to the hilt of the sword, making it almost impossible for her to hold it.

"squeak!"

Two soldier ants attacked at the same time.

Jiang Liyu took a half step to the side, avoiding the mouthparts of the first soldier ant, and raised her long sword upwards, piercing into the gap in its abdominal carapace.

Before she could draw her sword, another soldier ant had already struck her waist.

"Bang!"

Jiang Liyu lost her balance and her shoulder slammed heavily into the boulder.

Health points dropped again.

She endured the pain in her ribs, stepped on the soldier ant's head, drew her longsword, and pierced its compound eye with a single strike.

The two soldier ants turned into specks of light and disappeared.

But more shadowy figures emerged from the woods.

Jiang Liyu glanced at her health bar.

【HP: 22%】

There are also two bottles of recovery potions in the backpack.

But as soon as she frees her hands, the soldier ants around her immediately pounce on her.

She had already tried it once.

The medicine bottle had barely been taken out when it was knocked away by a soldier ant and shattered under the rocks.

Jiang Liyu gripped the longsword tightly again, but her wrist had already begun to tremble.

Hang in there a little longer.

Mengzhu will be back soon.

She was a beta tester.

She knew how to deal with these soldier ants.

She also said that she would protect herself.

Jiang Liyu raised her sword to block the biting maw that was coming at her.

The blade rubbed violently against the armor, producing a teeth-grinding sound.

She used both hands to push the soldier ant away, then swung the sword and pierced its head.

【HP: 13%】

A soldier ant pounced on her from behind, its mandibles biting through her shoulder.

Jiang Liyu's body trembled slightly.

She didn't cry out, but instead gripped the sword in reverse and thrust it backward three times in succession.

Only when the soldier ants behind her turned into specks of light did she lean against the boulder and catch her breath.

"Mengzhu..."

The sound was very soft, and it was immediately drowned out by the hissing of the ant colony.

She looked at the team interface.

Mengzhu's profile picture is still lit up.

His health was reduced to less than a quarter.

Jiang Liyu pursed her lips.

She is hurt.

That's why I didn't come back.

Let's hold on a little longer.

If they just hold on a little longer, they can leave this place together.

—At the bottom of the cliff.

"Get out of here!"

Mengzhu gripped her sword with both hands and charged up the path, pushing through the swarm of ants.

The heavy sword slammed down, and the foremost soldier ants exploded on the spot.

The soldier ants behind them continued to surge forward, stepping on the dissipating specks of light of their kind.

Mengzhu swung her sword again.

The second one.

The third one.

The fourth one.

The narrow mountain road was crowded with black carapaces.

For every step she took upwards, she was forced back two steps by more soldier ants.

A soldier ant bit her injured left leg.

Mengzhu screamed and fell forward.

She grabbed a nearby rock, swung her heavy sword with her right hand, and smashed the soldier ant to pieces.

More soldier ants had already climbed up the mountainside to her head.

Mengzhu quickly loosened her grip on the rock and rolled backward.

"Bang bang bang!"

Three soldier ants landed on the spot where she had just been.

Mengzhu got up from the ground and opened her backpack with trembling hands.

The slot for recovery potions is empty.

The last bottle of medicine was drunk while we were climbing the mountain road.

She looked at her health bar.

【HP: 9%】

If she gets bitten again, she will die.

Mengzhu raised her head.

The number of soldier ants on the path is still increasing.

She picked up her heavy sword again and charged forward once more.

Just as the sword had knocked away two soldier ants, a third soldier ant struck her in the chest from the side.

Mengzhu was sent flying backward, sliding several meters with her back touching the ground.

【HP: 4%】

She lay on the ground, coughing up blood continuously.

The heavy sword in his hand was so heavy that he could no longer lift it.

She tried to prop herself up, but her arms suddenly lost strength, and she fell to the ground again.

In the team interface, Jiang Liyu's health bar was down to its last bit.

Mengzhu stared intently at the red line, tears falling onto her muddy hands.

"Little fish..."

"sorry……"

"I can't get up there..."

"I can't help you..."

She wanted to rush up.

But she had run out of medicine.

If she takes one more step, she will die too.

Mengzhu raised her trembling hand and opened the team panel.

Jiang Liyu's profile picture sat quietly in the first column of the queue.

The double badge they received when they first formed the team is still hanging next to them.

Mengzhu's finger hovered over "Leave the team".

She hesitated to press the button.

[Teammate Jiang Liyu's health is too low!]

[Teammate Jiang Liyu's health is too low!]

Scarlet alerts kept popping up.

Mengzhu closed her eyes, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"sorry……"

"I really...don't want to die..."

"I haven't met my mom and dad yet."

"I still want to go back alive..."
