I told you to change your skills, and you changed them into a nuclear explosion immortal?

"This child has grown up with a temper."

As Lu Yun left the mountain city trading post, he still couldn't forget the scene of Xu Qingmeng, her face flushed with anger, crushing the return scroll and running away without saying a word.

The problem is, I am indeed level 60 and about to do my second job advancement, right?

These days, does telling the truth get you scorned?

Shaking his head, Lu Yun felt quite helpless, but when he thought about how much money he had just made, his mood instantly brightened up again.

This time, it was a great success.

The only pity was that the experience points were only given to him; Xu Qingmeng and Li Zian didn't get any. But there was nothing they could do about it; that's the mechanism of the world boss. Killing the world boss wasn't for experience points, but for loot.

Fortunately, the gold coins were divided equally, and the three of them each received more than ten million gold coins, so it wasn't a complete waste of time.

Moreover, aside from the boss drops, so many professionals died at the time, and the equipment and items they dropped filled the three of them's backpacks without them picking them up.

Later, when all else failed, the three of them started picking and choosing.

Even so, quite a lot was thrown away.

He didn't know about Xu Qingmeng and Li Zian, but after selling the system backpack and everything in it, he had already received more than 2 million. There were still nearly 8% of the equipment and special materials of various levels that he hadn't sold. Once they were all sold, he would have at least 3 million.

He had already gained a great deal just from this point.

However, compared to this, Lu Yun cared more about the skill books.

One is the Sky Firefly dropped by the BOSS, and the other is a skill reward from opening a chest.

He wasn't in a hurry to modify these two skill books; he wanted to wait until the system upgraded after his second job advancement.

That's better than changing it twice.

I was just thinking about it.

Lu Yun has arrived at the Hall of Professionals.

After finding an empty counter and explaining my purpose, the saleswoman quickly handed me the confirmation form and the promotion crystal.

"Please sign here, and then you can accept the mission."

The details had already been covered during the first round, so when the young lady heard that she was there for the second round, she didn't waste any more words.

However, she was also very curious when she saw Lu Yun sign the document.

After all, this professional is quite young.

I wonder which wealthy and powerful young master he is.

After receiving the confirmation letter from Lu Yun, the young lady smiled broadly and handed over the crystal.

"Please place your hands on it."

Lu Yun nodded and silently placed his hand on it.

Available in the next second.

The seemingly ordinary advancement crystal suddenly burst forth with a golden light, and upon seeing this, the young lady's beaming smile instantly froze.

"This, this is..."

The young woman's expression changed, and her pupils contracted sharply.

"Gold, a gold-level quest???"

"This time it's a designated instance?"

Lu Yun wasn't surprised by the difficulty.

To his surprise, this time he didn't choose it himself, but rather designated someone else.

Seeing the young lady standing there in a daze, Lu Yun glanced at the glittering crystal and couldn't help but smile.

"Miss? I'm all ready."

"Huh? Ah! Okay, okay!"

The young woman was startled, and her gaze towards Lu Yun changed.

"Yes, I'm sorry, sir. This is the first time I've encountered this situation. Please, please don't mind."

Although the mountain city is a first-tier city, it is not as prosperous as the big cities in the south because of its remote location.

So it's normal that she hasn't personally seen the Golden Promotion Quest.

But Lu Yun didn't want to waste time on this, so he waved his hand and offered some gold coins.

"It's alright, but please keep it a secret."

Upon hearing this, the young lady nodded vigorously.

"Sir, please rest assured, this is confidential. Not only me, but even our supervisor has no authority to disclose this to anyone."

Upon hearing this, Lu Yun nodded.

"That's fine then, goodbye."

Watching Lu Yun's retreating figure, the young lady, regaining her senses, instinctively cupped her face in her hands.

Those big eyes were filled with excitement.

However, Lu Yun didn't notice until he left.

A middle-aged man, around 40 years old and dressed in a magic robe, stood at the gate, looking at his back with a suspicious expression.

"Strange... Could I be imagining things?"

……

Mountain City Auction House.

Manager Liu, who was tidying up the equipment at the counter, suddenly saw a familiar person enter the door. Her eyes lit up, and she quickly swayed her hips and walked out from behind the counter.

"Young Master Lu? You... still have equipment left to sell?"

"no."

Lu Yun smiled and glanced at the graceful Manager Liu in her red dress.

"I need to buy something."

Upon hearing this, Manager Liu covered his mouth and chuckled.

"What would you like to buy, young man? I'll help you find it."

The person in front of me is a big client. Although he looks young, he is incredibly generous.

Moreover, being able to produce a bunch of level 90 and 100 blue and purple equipment, and even orange equipment, means that he can't possibly be from an ordinary family.

Maybe it's some rich kid coming out to exchange for pocket money.

Of course... she had another guess, but it hadn't been confirmed.

Naturally, their attitude improved considerably.

"I need to buy the materials to activate Purgatory Mode, do you have any?"

"What???"

Manager Liu's face stiffened, his expression full of question marks.

"What do you want to buy?"

"Purgatory..."

Just as Lu Yun was about to speak again, Manager Liu suddenly reached out and blocked his face, stopping him from saying anything more.

Shopkeeper Liu's expression changed slightly. He glanced at the professionals coming and going around him, then quickly switched back to his previous professional smile and began to guide them.

"Young man, there are too many people around. Would you please come with me to the VIP room on the second floor to discuss this further?"

To be honest, Lu Yun was a little puzzled.

It's just buying some materials, is it really that big of a deal?

However, seeing the seriousness in her eyes, Lu Yun followed her upstairs to the second floor.

Upon arriving at the VIP room, Manager Liu closed the door and got straight to the point with a smile.

"Young man, are you sure you want to buy the materials to activate Purgatory Mode?"

There's nothing we can do about it. There's only one Hellfire Activator. If he doesn't buy it, he can't generate one either.

"Yes, we do need it, um... we might need it in the future."

Once it happens, it will happen again. With this purgatory's fortune, it's likely that it will be the same even after three or four cycles.

Upon confirmation, Manager Liu's expression changed slightly, becoming noticeably more serious.

"Young man, my auction house doesn't have the materials you're looking for, and you won't find them in the nearby cities either."

Seeing that Lu Yun's expression remained calm and unchanged, Manager Liu couldn't help but nod secretly.

It seems he guessed it, but he's certain I can handle it...

He's quite a remarkable person.

Thinking of this, Manager Liu suppressed his smile.

"I think you know the reason. Purgatory mode is a death mode. Very few people can clear it. So the related materials are either unsellable or extremely expensive. They are considered rare items in major auction houses."

"And I'm sure you've heard about what happened recently, which is also related to these materials."

Lu Yun's mind stirred, but he pretended to be confused.

"What is it?"

Manager Liu raised an eyebrow and sized up Lu Yun before slowly speaking.

"Didn't you hear about the two nuclear explosions in Mingguang City and Tai'an City?"

"Moreover, not long ago, a huge roar also occurred at the world BOSS outside our mountain city, killing many people. Even the city lord had to escape back. This event shook the entire mountain city."

Lu Yun suddenly realized.

"Oh, is that so? I've heard about it, but what does it matter?"

A knowing glint flashed in Manager Liu's eyes.

"Both instances have been bombarded by some powerful figure for unknown reasons, and people have been sent down to investigate."

"I heard that sir is currently in the mountain city."

"It was the city lord who deliberately stopped them."

Upon hearing this, Lu Yun was taken aback.

Someone came to investigate?

This... is not good news...
