On the Eight Extremes Star, I awakened the twelve talismans.

Chapter 1 The Mysterious Man of the Eighth Star

Desert Star.

Ye Han's back felt uncomfortable; it wasn't the soft yet firm feel of a mattress, but rather a solid, hard surface.

He suddenly sat up from the ground, feeling a wave of dizziness.

Squinting hard, trying to see what was in front of him clearly, but his pupils couldn't focus for a moment.

A grayish-purple sky stretched out endlessly, without boundaries, without clouds, and the source of the light was nowhere to be seen.

All around was an endless desert.

Ye Han stared at the changes before him, momentarily stunned.

I was just on my creaky bed, how did I end up here?

not good!

A tightness suddenly gripped my chest.

He instinctively took a breath of air, but couldn't inhale anything.

My lungs felt like two deflated balloons, expanding in vain, only to be met with a sharp, stabbing pain.

That's when I realized something was wrong.

It's oxygen-deficient; the oxygen level here is extremely low.

The more I inhale, the more panicked I become, and the more panicked I become, the more I want to breathe. It's much worse than altitude sickness; it's a recipe for death.

"Damn...where am I?"

Ye Han clutched his chest and complained, unable to straighten his back.

"This is how it is for first-time visitors."

A voice was right next to me!

Ye Han turned his head.

A figure draped in a cloak appeared a few steps away on a black boulder, blending into the shadows.

He was extremely tall, yet he didn't look strange at all.

Before he could get a good look, something was already flying toward his face.

Ye Han instinctively raised his hand to grab it, and his palm was painfully poked by a cold metal object.

It's an earplug.

"On the frontier."

Ye Han's mind went blank. His survival instinct overwhelmed everything, and he immediately pressed the earplugs into his ears.

As soon as I put it on, my breathing became easier.

Ye Han gasped for breath for more than ten seconds before recovering from the lack of oxygen and feeling much better.

"What...what is this?"

The man replied calmly, "An air receiver that can automatically receive oxygen from the spaceship. Wearing it will allow you to breathe freely."

Having been helped so much for no apparent reason, Ye Han took the initiative to express his gratitude: "Thank you."

"No need to thank me. Whether you survive or not has nothing to do with this."

Ye Han stroked the air receiver on his ear.

There is no such thing on Earth.

This thing is exquisitely crafted, its material is unknown, and it can provide oxygen from the spaceship over a long distance out of thin air.

This level of technology is beyond my comprehension, let alone what I've ever seen.

It's somewhat unrealistic.

There are spaceships here, as well as oxygen supply equipment that is beyond Ye Han's comprehension.

And this person gave it so casually, like handing out a piece of candy.

So, this is no longer Earth.

Ye Han asked, "Where exactly is this place?"

"The Eight Extreme Stars".

What are the Eight Extreme Stars?

The man straightened up from the rock.

It was only then that Ye Han noticed how tall he was. He was more than a head taller than Ye Han, but the proportions didn't seem strange. It just felt like this person was born to be this tall.

"It's normal that you haven't heard of it. This place used to be the prison for Galaxy Eye," the man said.

Ye Han's pupils suddenly contracted.

Galaxy Eye.

He knew about the Milky Way Eye.

A vast force spanning interstellar space, the mastermind behind the blockade of Earth, Five-Colored Eyes, McDonald, Gudu, Dia... these names exploded in his mind, leaving Ye Han astonished.

Did I travel through time?

The man continued, "Eight planets, each one is a prison area."

"The worse the environment, the heavier the prisoners. Later, the prison was dismantled, and the prisoners either ran away or died, but the environment of these eight-star prisons will not improve just because no one is in charge."

"Later on, some people used this place as a training ground. Eight stars, eight levels, and you can become stronger if you survive."

"Are there many people who have come out?" Ye Han asked.

Only one person finished the journey.

Ye Han only vaguely remembered a few things about the Eight Extreme Stars.

The eight planets are eight small planets with completely different environments, but they are harsh environments that are completely uninhabitable for humans.

On any of these planets, an ordinary person would hardly survive for more than 24 hours.

Just as the man in black robes said, the Eight Extremes Star was a place specifically used to exile prisoners.

Later, some fanatical fighters discovered the unique environment here and used it to hone their bodies.

This place became a natural training ground for martial arts.

Many, many people came, but almost no one could pass through the eight planets.

Only one person traversed all the planets and created the extremely powerful Eight Extremes Heaven fighting technique.

Ye Han still had many questions in his mind.

Who is this person?

Why is he here? And why is he helping me?

But before he could speak, his vision went blank.

The person in the cloak vanished without a trace, as if they had never been there at all.

"Feed?"

"No, you still haven't told me..."

There was only deathly silence all around.

The grayish-purple sky remained the same grayish-purple, and the scorched ground remained the same scorched ground.

Ye Han stood alone, looking around.

There was no one here, no buildings, and it didn't seem like a trace of human civilization.

In the distance stretched an endless black wasteland, with a few black stone pillars occasionally protruding from the ground. Further away, there were undulating mountain ridges, all of them black.

Ye Han swallowed hard. "So, I'm just left here like this?"

No one answered him.

The wind was blowing from an unknown direction; it wasn't hot or cold, but it made people very uncomfortable.

He looked down at himself, dressed in casual clothes.

"Alright then. Anyway, at least they gave us some equipment to survive, so they've done more than enough."

The situation is now very clear.

I've been transported to a completely unfamiliar place. This used to be a planet where prisoners were held, and the environment was so harsh that ordinary people couldn't survive more than 24 hours.

If it were any other time traveler, the system would have already given a notification by now.

Ye Han waited for a while.

"Gurgle~ Gurgle~"

My stomach, being rather uncooperative, growled a few times.

That's really fitting for the occasion.

After working all day, Ye Han went home and lay down on the bed. He had originally planned to go out for a late-night snack, but ended up here, still feeling hungry.

If I had known I would time travel, I would have spent all my savings first.

He patted his stomach: "Food is the most important thing for people, but the problem is, is there anything edible in this wretched place?"

The scorched ground and desolate environment were devoid of even a blade of grass; it looked as if nothing had grown there at all.

He started walking, intending to look for it.

After walking for more than ten minutes, all that came into view was still a barren and desolate land.

Ye Han frowned: "So I'm going to starve to death here?"

"This is so embarrassing! The first cause of death for the protagonist in a time-travel novel is starvation? I'm ashamed to even say it out loud."

The voice just fell.

"Ding!"

Ye Han stopped in his tracks.

It wasn't that he wanted to stop, but a sound suddenly rang in his mind, crisp like someone tapping a triangle next to his ear, prompting him to stop.

Immediately afterwards, a light blue, semi-transparent panel appeared out of thin air in front of him.

The panel is small, floating in mid-air, with a ring of slightly glowing patterns around its edge.

At the very center is a slowly rotating pattern, a circle composed of twelve symbols.

Ye Han blinked.

The panel is still there.

"Is it a hallucination, or am I just hungry?" Ye Han rubbed his eyes.

Then he reached out and touched it, his fingertips pressing on the panel.

The pattern on the panel lit up as his finger approached, and the ring began to spin faster, with each of the twelve symbols flashing before finally settling on one of them.

The symbol is the shape of a rabbit, with simple and lifelike lines.
