"Twelve cold fusion reactors in parallel?" Liu Ruyan stared wide-eyed at the holographic data panel beside her, her breath catching in her throat. "Li Yichen, are you crazy? If there's even the slightest leak in the pipelines, not only this base, but the entire city of Shanghai won't even have a complete corpse left; they'll all be reduced to shards of glass!"

She pointed to the wildly fluctuating prediction curves on the panel, speaking rapidly: "These are twelve artificial suns! Even a single wrong line could cause a chain reaction that goes out of control, generating enough energy to burn through the Earth's crust! You plan to rely on those robots to perform micrometer-level docking? If there's magnetic repulsion, the entire power module will be torn apart!"

Li Yichen turned his head to look at her.

"What are you afraid of? I'll personally install this heart."

Liu Ruyan grabbed his sleeve: "You're going yourself? That's a high-radiation zone down there, plus an unclosed magnetic field. Can your body withstand it? You're just going to your death!"

Li Yichen brushed her hand away, and dark golden liquid metal gushed from his wrist. The fluid metal climbed up his forearm, covering his entire body in the blink of an eye. The vibranium nanotech armor clung to his muscle lines, gleaming with a cold, hard metallic sheen. The visor closed, leaving only a pair of goggles that shimmered with blue light.

He leaped over the railing of the observation platform.

The wind whistled in his ears. Plunging eighty meters from the sky, Li Yichen adjusted his posture in mid-air, transforming into a dark golden meteor, and crashed straight into the open engine room entrance on the mothership's belly.

boom!

The heavy soles of the armored boots slammed onto the special alloy floor.

The blast wave churned up, blowing away all the dust within a few meters.

The power compartment was spacious, with twelve giant slots arranged in a ring around the central control console. Hundreds of T-800 Terminators were pushing heavy-duty vehicles, waiting outside the slots. The vehicles carried twelve cold fusion reactors, their dim blue light casting flickering shadows throughout the compartment.

Li Yichen strode towards the main control panel.

"Ling'er, take over the physical connection of the energy pipelines." He hovered his ten fingers above the holographic keyboard. "I'll be responsible for the final locking of the magnetic flux parameters. Monitor the temperature changes of each card slot, and immediately cut off the backup power if it exceeds three thousand degrees."

"Roger that, bro! Physical docking procedure initiated."

The Terminators pushed the truck in perfect unison. The twelve reactors slid slowly along the guide rails into their slots. The heavy creaking of machinery echoed through the empty compartment.

Li Yichen stared intently at the retina screen.

This job allows for absolutely no mistakes. With twelve reactors connected in parallel, the error in the energy loop must be controlled at the atomic level. The slightest deviation could send this colossal vessel, costing over a trillion dollars, and most of Shanghai flying into the air.

After his brain was developed, Li Yichen's mental computing power was fully unleashed. Massive amounts of data poured in like a waterfall. He filtered out redundant information, captured every fluctuating abnormal value, and forcibly corrected it with both hands on the control panel.

"Repository No. 3, increase the magnetic field frequency by 0.01 Hz!" Li Yichen's ten fingers left afterimages as he typed, and the virtual buttons emitted a rapid beeping sound.

Ling'er's voice followed immediately: "The frequency of reactor No. 3 has been corrected, and the liquid helium cycle in reactor No. 7 is experiencing slight fluctuations, with the pressure value approaching the red line!"

"Stabilize the liquid helium flow rate, forcibly lock the seventh valve, and divert the flow using the backup pipeline!" Li Yichen didn't even look up, his left hand quickly swiping across the left-side panel to bring up the backup cooling system.

"Repository No. 5, the superconducting coil impedance is too high, reduce it!"

Cold sweat trickled down his forehead and into the absorbent layer of his faceplate. The intense tension in his nerves made the air in this space feel viscous.

Time passed by, second by second.

Two full hours.

Li Yichen's hands never stopped moving. Twelve reactors were squeezed inch by inch into the slots.

"Just ten centimeters left!" Ling'er reported the data, "There's a 0.02-millimeter physical offset at the interface of heap number nine!"

"Leave it to me."

Li Yichen released the physical restriction lock and switched to fully manual docking. He closed his eyes and relied entirely on his brain's computing power to perceive the changes in the magnetic fields of the twelve behemoths.

With his left hand, he cut off the auxiliary thrust of the No. 9 reactor, and with his right hand, he fine-tuned the angle of the magnetic field, using magnetic attraction to forcefully pull the 0.02-millimeter deviation back onto the right track.

Click.

The twelve crisp metallic clanging sounds overlapped together.

The reactor fits perfectly into the slot, with no gaps.

"All lines are green, energy loop complete." Ling'er's voice came through the communication channel, trembling slightly.

Li Yichen opened his eyes, exhaled the air trapped in his chest, and slammed his hand heavily on the red button in the center of the control panel.

"ignition!"

Om-!

A low-frequency electromagnetic hum, striking straight to the soul, reverberated within the power bay. Visible beams of eerie blue light flowed frantically through the twelve slots, pouring into the central main energy pipeline.

On its massive 420-meter-long body, hundreds of thousands of hidden energy patterns lit up in succession, from the belly to the bow, and then to the armor plates on the back. A ghostly blue light danced across the dark surface of the hull.

The behemoth opened its eyes.

On the observation platform, Liu Ruyan gripped the railing tightly with both hands, her nails digging into the paint. She stared at the massive steel ship below, gleaming with a ghostly blue light, and let out meaningless hoarse sounds.

This is something that humans could not possibly create.

Li Yichen removed his armor mask and turned to walk towards the direct elevator on the side of the power compartment.

The elevator doors slid open.

A minimalist futuristic style comes into view. This is the bridge at the very top of the mothership.

There are no unnecessary physical buttons, no complicated instrument panels. A ten-meter square, dark blue holographic command console floats in mid-air.

Li Yichen stepped onto the command platform.

Swish.

A holographic diagram of the entire mothership unfolded before him. Shield generators, electromagnetic main guns, anti-gravity engine networks... the operational status of every component was displayed in detail on this panel.

"Brother! All the data is perfect!" Ling'er's holographic projection bounced around on the command platform. "The anti-gravity engine is warming up and ready for deployment. Thanks to Future Heavy Industries' insane production capacity, we've completed the project more than a month ahead of schedule, instead of the originally planned six-month timeframe!"

Li Yichen swipes the holographic panel.

Twelve heavy-duty laser interception arrays, green light.

Two electromagnetic railguns, green light.

The ejection ports of 127 Blackbird stealth fighters are now open (green light).

He opened the main cannon's parameter panel. The charging time was three seconds, the projectile's initial velocity was Mach 120, and its kinetic energy was enough to penetrate all known underground bunkers on Earth. With this behemoth, even if the alien fleet arrived ahead of schedule, Great Xia would have the confidence to confront it head-on.

He stared at the icon for the anti-gravity engine.

"Let's set the hovering height to fifty meters and test the balance of this behemoth."

He had just raised his hand to input the command when his phone suddenly rang. Li Yichen took out his phone and glanced at it; it was Liu Guoliang calling. Li Yichen wondered why Liu Guoliang was calling, but he still pressed the answer button.

Liu Guoliang's anxious voice rang out.

"Brother Li! Are you busy? Commander He, Commander Xiao, and I just landed our special plane at the Shanghai military airport!" Liu Guoliang said, panting heavily and speaking very quickly.

A strong, urging voice came through the communicator: "Old Liu, stop talking nonsense and quickly ask him what kind of contraption he's made!"

Liu Guoliang coughed twice and continued shouting into the communicator, "Did you hear that? The leaders are getting really anxious. That 'big surprise' you were bragging about, has it finally happened yet? I'm itching to see it, can we get a sneak peek?"

Listening to Liu Guoliang's words, Li Yichen thought to himself, "Are these guys spying on me? I just finished my work and they're already here. But since they're here, I might as well let them see." So Li Yichen told Liu Guoliang, "What a coincidence, I just finished my work and you guys are already getting ready to come. Okay, just drive to Future Aerospace Group and let me know when you get there. I'll come out to pick you up."
