In name only: The land of Handong, I shall rule its fate.

"Captain Wang, let's go together!"

After leaving the Municipal Bureau together, Han Shiwei extended an invitation.

Wang Bo glared hatefully at the culprit who had dragged him into this mess, but then reluctantly gritted his teeth and nodded. If Li Tingna really died from murder, then the incident itself was beyond the scope of their traffic police team's responsibilities and should be transferred to the criminal investigation department.

It's better to do it all at once.

To avoid missing any clues.

Ultimately, the blame will fall on them.

So annoying!

A bunch of troublemakers.

When the two vehicles arrived at the accident site, the traffic police had already cordoned off the area and reconstructed the scene. A middle-aged man in his fifties was also waiting timidly to the side.

"Han Ting! Captain Wang!"

Traffic police detachment captain Chen Jingshan came up and reported, "As per your request, Captain Wang, we have recreated the scene at the time by imitating the surveillance video at a 1:1 scale. This is the driver involved, Zhou Qiguo."

Wang Bo nodded, looking at the timid and cowering man in front of him, "Why was your yellow-plated truck driving on the city streets around 3 PM?"

"Officer, I...I am an engineering vehicle. There is a section of road under repair ahead. I drove out of the city following the shortest route given by the traffic police detachment."

Zhou Qiguo waved his hands repeatedly, nervously explaining, "Moreover...moreover, I followed traffic regulations the whole time, I didn't drive illegally or speed. That person suddenly ran out from my blind spot. The truck was full of asphalt waste, I couldn't stop at all."

That's right.

Chen Jingshan said, "The road ahead was severely damaged, and it was indeed under emergency repair for those few days. There were no issues with the route or driving regulations."

"Don't be nervous, I don't mean to doubt your work."

Wang Bo naturally knew, "I just wanted to confirm whether your truck routes are strictly followed and fixed? And are the shift schedules for construction trucks fixed?"

The words had barely left his lips.

Driver Zhou Qiguo's expression changed, but he quickly returned to normal. "The route is strictly fixed, but the shifts are three shifts. I usually work the night shift. That day, another driver was on leave and another driver was still sleeping, so I helped out by making two extra trips."

Chen Jingshan was extremely angry.

Zhou Qiguo never mentioned this, and the work schedule provided by the engineering team was also incorrect.

"I'm afraid... afraid of being charged with driving while fatigued, I'm scared! I have elderly parents and young children to support, I won't go in! Officer!"

Zhou Qiguo pleaded for mercy, wailing in despair.

"First, take a mock test. If you do well, it will be considered good performance, and the punishment will be reduced."

Wang Bo said.

At the same time, he gave Han Shiwei a wink, and the latter immediately understood, turning around and whispering a few words to the other criminal investigation officers.

Several figures disappeared silently.

The simulation began quickly.

The mannequin, properly equipped with protective gear, darted across two parked cars to the other side of the road, while a truck approached from behind, entering a blind spot for both vehicles.

A pedestrian and a vehicle collided!

The simulator was knocked to the ground by a vehicle.

This situation occurred even with the simulator crossing at full speed and the truck idling at five mph and braking in advance. At normal driving speeds, neither vehicle would have been able to react.

Regarding this result.

Wang Bo and Han Shiwei were not surprised; their eyes fell on the surveillance video.

"See that?"

Wang Bo paused the video just before Li Tingna entered the gap between two parked cars. "Although the SUV that created the blind spot is tall, it can see the cars coming from behind before entering. But Li Tingna's entire attention was focused on crossing the gap."

"The traffic here is usually quite heavy, so even without trucks, it's still extremely dangerous."

"But Li Tingna still made this choice. Isn't it like a gambler taking a gamble? If he succeeds, he will live; if he fails, he will die."

"Someone is chasing him."

Han Shiwei confirmed, "Wang Ping'an?"

Wang Bo didn't answer, because there was no trace of the pursuers in the surveillance footage. Instead, he looked at his colleague behind him and asked, "Have you found Wang Ping'an's movements at that time?"

"Captain Wang, we've found them all."

The traffic police officers edited and compiled all the surveillance footage they had captured and exported it. The first clip was when Wang Ping'an, who was out, accidentally discovered Li Tingna, who was disguised as someone going out. Li Tingna had a strong sense of counter-surveillance and immediately realized something was wrong. He quickly left Wang Ping'an behind by taking advantage of the crowds and terrain on the street.

Wang Ping'an continued the pursuit for about ten minutes.

But what happens next…

Wang Ping'an disappeared from the surveillance footage, and reappeared 3 minutes and 47 seconds later, but his reappearance point overlapped with his original position.

Only then did they dial a number.

Fengyang!

The rest of the story then matched Wang Ping'an's account.

"Seal off the area surrounding his disappearance and search for witnesses."

"Searching for a whole area of phone numbers is too much trouble."

"First, find eyewitnesses, and then talk to Wang Ping'an."

"At the same time, we will expedite the investigation into the basic information of the three individuals."

Han Shiwei quickly issued a series of orders, indicating that there was no need to stay there any longer.

Jingle Bell!

The phone rang at the same time.

Han Shiwei and Wang Bo exchanged a glance, then each walked to one side and answered their calls.

"Director Han, I have a new mission assigned to me, so I won't be traveling with you from now on."

Wang Bo helplessly shrugged.

"I have one too."

Han Shiwei nodded. His tasks were more numerous and demanding, giving him no chance to catch his breath. It was as if heavy shackles were binding him in place, preventing him from moving.

His eyes were slightly lowered.

Then Han Shiwei raised his head again, smiled indifferently. The only task he received in Diaozhou was to solve the case.

He just came over because he was worried.

Teacher Gao's schemes never require too many people to participate.

"Back to the Municipal Bureau!"

Han Shiwei called out, but there were three more people he brought back.

The driver responsible for the accident was Zhou Qiguo!

And Wu Jiantao, the road construction boss, and Sun Hongyuan, the substitute driver.

"Tell me, why did you suddenly ask for leave that day? And for only two hours?"

Han Shiwei asked.

"I…"

Sun Hongyuan's eyes kept darting around, and he stammered. Finally, unable to bear it any longer, he said, "I had a fight with my wife, so..."

"quarrel?"

Han Shiwei chuckled and said directly to the monitor, "Go to his apartment complex and ask the neighbors, then ask his wife and children."

No, it wasn't an argument.

Upon hearing that an investigation was required, Sun Hongyuan immediately panicked and changed his story, saying, "I have an upset stomach. My boss invited me out for drinks and barbecue the night before last, and I got diarrhea! Really, officer! I'm telling the truth."

"Take him away and bring Wu Jiantao up."

Han Shiwei had no interest in listening to what he had to say and simply waved his hand.

"Officer, I..."

Wu Jiantao was much calmer than Sun Hongyuan, and he wanted to say something before even asking any questions.

It was pushed back with a raised hand.

"Think it through before you speak. If you're unsure what to say, I can offer some suggestions: For example, why did you invite Sun Hongyuan the night before the car accident, when you've never hosted a banquet for your employees before? And what is your relationship with the Ling Chamber of Commerce?"
