Survival Game: Call Me an Honest Businessman

Li Zhi: "Now let's vote again. Those who support me taking 34% of the shares, please raise your hands."

The situation unfolded as Celia had predicted.

He raised his hand instantly.

Ying also raised her hand.

Canghai and Ling abstained again.

The shareholders who support Li Zhi also hold a combined 6% stake.

Celia: "Let's use other methods to screen them."

Li Zhi: "You forgot, our exchange has another shareholder."

She disabled the privacy settings in the chat window, allowing everyone to see her chat history with Lingqiu.

Li Zhi: [The shareholders' meeting has begun, and voting is now in progress. Shareholder Ling Qiu, do you support Celia acquiring 34% of the shares in the exchange?]

Lingqiu: [Not supported.]

Li Zhi: [A new round of voting has begun and is currently underway. Shareholder Ling Qiu, do you support Li Zhi acquiring 34% of the shares in the exchange?]

Lingqiu: [Support.]

Li Zhi smiled and said, "Now, I own 7% of the shares. Teacher, do you agree with this result?"

Celia's face slumped, her eyes gleaming with a sinister light: "Li Zhi, are you sure you want to do this?"

Li Zhi: "This is a vote at the shareholders' meeting, a resolution passed jointly by all shareholders, not something I am certain of."

Celia abruptly stood up and walked outside, leaving behind only a hoarse voice: "That's it."

Celia's mech disappeared from everyone's sight with her.

No one spoke in the meeting room.

Li Zhi paused for a moment before turning his gaze away: "Now that Celia and I have confirmed our shareholdings, I will take 34% and Celia will take 27%. Do any of you shareholders have any further objections?"

"no."

"……No."

People answered one after another.

Bai Ge distributed the equity ratio confirmation agreement.

Li Zhi: "These agreements have been entered into Qiyuan's archives. Today's meeting is now over. Everyone is welcome to wander around Buwangwei. Rooms are also reserved for you in the penthouse suites. If you wish to stay overnight, please contact my supervisor, Bai Ge."

Bai Ge greeted him with a smile.

Ying jumped up: "I've been bored for ages! I want to stay the night, sis, are you coming or not?"

Mingchun completely ignored Ying and left the meeting room expressionlessly.

Shen glanced at Li Zhi, then at Ling who had her head down, and after thinking of something, he chuckled and left.

Duan was ecstatic: "I never imagined we could defeat Celia together! We really should have prepared in advance!"

Li Zhi smiled and nodded, then looked at Ling, who hadn't spoken, and after a moment of silence, walked over.

"Ling, let's talk."

Ling glanced at Li Zhi, then silently stood up.

Li Zhi said goodbye to Canghai Cangsu, who was still eating, and took Ling up the back mountain, where they sat by the waterfall.

"Whenever I have something I can't figure out or something that makes me unhappy, I sit here and listen to the sound of water hitting the rocks. It makes my head buzz and instantly washes away my troubles."

Ling looked at the waterfall, her voice broken by the sound of the water: "When I was in my most difficult time, you chose to help me without hesitation, but as your friend, I couldn't stand by your side when you needed me."

Li Zhi turned his head: "The Feather Spirit Emperor must have made you support Celia, right?"

Ling did not speak.

Li Zhi: "But you chose to abstain."

Li Zhi sighed, climbed up from the rock, and looked at Ling, saying, "Your abstention means you're on my side. Besides, how could I not know that your choice to abstain led to Celia's defeat, and that you would be punished when you returned? Doesn't that mean you're on my side?"

"Just like I said, as a member of the Feathered Spirit Clan's royal family, I can understand your firm stance on the Feathered Spirit Clan's interests and your unwavering implementation of the Feathered Spirit Emperor's orders. But you chose me. How could I possibly feel that you weren't on my side?"

Ling: "If I vote for you, you will win outright, and you and your teacher will not break up because of it."

Li Zhi was taken aback. "This is between Celia and me. How can you take the blame on yourself? Besides, we haven't broken up. She and I might have a little rift because of this, but even if it's for the sake of our interests, we'll make up in the end. Don't worry."

Ling asked, puzzled, "How can you two make up after arguing like this?"

Li Zhi: "Of course she can. She's my teacher, I know her very well, she would never really break off relations with me."

Just then, Celia sent a message.

Celia: [Why hasn't the equity ratio confirmation agreement been sent yet?]

Li Zhi: [I'm chatting with Ling. She feels that not choosing me betrayed our friendship, and I'm trying to comfort her.]

Celia: [I don't know how Xuan gave birth to a daughter with such a personality. You can comfort her. Make a list of people to invite for the exchange's opening tomorrow and send it to me as soon as possible; we'll send them out at the same time.]

Li Zhi: [Understood.]

When she went to see Celia yesterday, she had already discussed the key points of today's meeting with Celia:

—Let other shareholders and all future traders who are watching know that Li Zhi and Celia are not bound together, and the human race and the forging race have not reached a cooperation agreement.

The fact that the Forging Clan was judging Celia and that Celia was defending Li Zhi had been heard by various clans to varying degrees.

In addition, Celia had repeatedly protected Li Zhi and allowed her to inherit the future Melting Forging Clan caravan. In the eyes of many, although Li Zhi was still human, he was already a member of the Melting Forging Clan.

The core of an exchange is fairness and impartiality.

If shareholders or traders believe that the two largest shareholders of an exchange have joined forces, then the very foundation upon which the exchange exists in this world will collapse.

So they had to put on a play.

He needed to convince other shareholders and future traders that Li Zhi and Celia were not working together.

The 34% and 27% stakes were the figures that Li Zhi and Celia had already agreed upon after a heated debate yesterday.

The reason she was able to get this share was partly because Li Zhi was indeed considered a member of the Forging Clan, and the Forging Clan's caravans would be handed over to her in the future.

Another reason is that Li Zhi and Celia have signed an agreement that once Celia passes away, 17% of the 27% of shares she holds will be directly transferred to Li Zhi, ensuring that Li Zhi will receive 51% of the shares and have the right to make operational decisions for the exchange.

The remaining 10% of the shares were transferred to Perth and jointly held by Perth and the Forging Caravan.

In addition, the shares of the velvet oil company will be transferred to Perth and the forging caravan for joint ownership.

Li Zhi then signed a contract stipulating that the Forging Clan would never be an enemy, and that the Forging Clan caravan would always have limited options in all projects operated by Bu Wangwei and Li Zhi. Furthermore, he would register all members of the Forging Clan caravan with Bu Wangwei household registration.

Afterwards, Celia contacted Mingchun and Yulinghuang in advance.

Li Zhi also took the opportunity to accept Duan's "advance rehearsal" and even chose a meeting room that was spacious and well-ventilated on both sides, and that could be clearly seen from the neighboring mountain range with a magnifying glass.

This was all to make the play more realistic, and to let those who were watching and peeping spread the news about today's events, and incidentally, to give the daily opening of the exchange a good "GG" (a Chinese internet slang term for a failed attempt to pass the time).

Li Zhidu secretly sent ordinary, unrecognizable accounts belonging to employees who were not afraid of danger to post gossip in the Dongqi chat area:

—With Li Zhi and Celia, teacher and student, breaking up over shares, will the stock exchange still be able to open as scheduled? How should the two get along?

Unexpectedly, the only one who got hurt was Ling.
