Survival Game: Call Me an Honest Businessman
Chapter 71 That was truly a city to yearn for.
Li Zhi did not linger.
She said calmly, "I have other matters to attend to. That's all I have to say. The three of you can choose to stay or leave."
Halfway there, she turned back: "But I still have to repay the favors people owe me; I don't do business at a loss."
The person who was supposed to be there had already arrived and was currently hovering in a flying boat, waiting on board with the people who were to be picked up.
Upon seeing Li Zhi come up, the 1.9-meter-tall man instantly stood up straight and revealed a well-behaved smile.
"I have to go out for a while. Officials will be coming to take you away this afternoon. Please receive them. If anyone causes trouble, just throw them down the mountain."
"Don't worry," someone replied.
She boarded her flying boat, lay down on the bed, rubbed her hair in frustration, tidied it up, and found Celia's portrait.
[Is it submerged?]
[At the mountaintop, you'll soon miss her.]
[Coming right away.]
Li Zhi opened the job panel and selected Black Iron Harbor teleport.
As soon as they stood firm, they saw a group of scaled guards aggressively escorting a figure shrouded in black cloth up the mountain.
A corner of the black cloth was visible, and a piece of scale was faintly visible, looking somewhat familiar.
"Let's go, my ship is over there."
Celia always manages to appear out of Li Zhi's sight.
She lowered her head, asking curiously, "Who were those Scaled Clan guards escorting just now?"
Celia: "The culprit behind the attack on Black Iron Harbor."
Li Zhi raised an eyebrow: "We caught them."
Celia gave a hoarse laugh: "Who knows?"
She led the way, and before long, Li Zhi saw a dark gray alloy armored airship.
The ship's hull is painted with dark red flame patterns, and it has retractable mechanical arms and cargo doors on the sides, as well as huge propulsion nozzles at the stern.
It was three times the size of her flying boat.
Celia stepped forward, the side door opened automatically, and the retractable elevator lowered. She stood on it and looked back: "Hurry up, or it'll sink."
Li Zhi took three steps in two and boarded the airship.
As Celia walked along, she explained, "These doors are for temperature-controlled cargo areas, namely the ambient temperature area, the refrigerated area, and the explosion-proof area. Above them is the loading and unloading system, and in front is the driver's cab."
Li Zhi's gaze swept over the technologically advanced interior, and he followed Celia into the cockpit, where he was immediately drawn to the holographic star map projector in front of him.
This is far more advanced than her navigation system; it not only displays the surrounding airspace and trade routes but also marks the distribution of different forces.
Celia sat in the driver's seat, and the prosthetic limb automatically connected to the control system. Another screen lit up, catching Li Zhi's attention.
"This is a ley line detector."
Celia casually said, "It can detect cloud mines, earth mines, and sea mines through energy fluctuations."
The airship took off directly without gliding.
Li Zhi only saw the changing scenery ahead, but he felt nothing while he was in it, as if he were still on flat ground.
Celia removed her prosthetic leg and jumped out of the driver's seat: "There's no teleportation array between Green Market and Black Iron Harbor. It'll take us about two apocalyptic hours to fly there. Let's go upstairs for a drink."
Li Zhi: "Is this spaceship custom-made or a ready-made one? How much would it cost if you bought it?"
Celia: "Custom orders after the finished product will cost around 300 gold. I can give you a discount if you want."
Li Zhi instantly withdrew her excitement.
"I can't afford it."
Celia chuckled, "I admire your stinginess."
Going up from the cockpit, you'll find a huge suite that occupies the entire second floor.
Upon entering, you'll find a room filled with oddly shaped pebbles, a sandpit, and a rest area resembling a sofa.
Celia told Li Zhi to sit wherever he pleased.
After searching for a while, Li Zhi found a rock that was relatively comfortable to sit on.
Celia: "This is a moonstone, a specialty of the Twin Seas."
"What can it be used for?"
Celia: "It glows in the dark."
Li Zhi pointed to another, unusually small stone placed on a metal stand in the center: "Where's that one?"
Celia scoffed, "That piece is worthless too."
Li Zhi: "Which piece is the most valuable?"
Celia: "That piece, the Holy Shadow Imprint, comes from the underground ruins of Holy Shadow City. This small stone can grant you the protection of the Twin Moon Empire."
Li Zhi followed Celia's gaze and asked, "The protection of the Twin Moon Empire?"
"The Twin Moon Empire is the only permanently neutral country on the Apocalypse Continent. The Holy Descendants and Dark Descendants are ancient races on the Apocalypse Continent and the only races that do not participate in the Centennial Rating. Therefore, no matter what happens, even the Centennial Rating will not shake the peace of the Twin Moon Empire."
Many thoughts flashed through Li Zhi's mind in an instant, but only one sentence came to mind: "What conditions are required if I want to own real estate in the Twin Moon Empire, or open a shop?"
Celia poured a glass of a viscous, blue-green liquid that didn't mix.
She handed Li Zhi a cup, downed the other in one gulp, and let out a satisfied sigh: "It's not surprising that you think that way. Every merchant wants to open a shop in the Twin Moon Empire, but the Twin Moon Empire can't accept all merchants."
Li Zhi waited for her to continue.
Celia: "Your professional level must be at least level 5, and the Twin Moon Empire only accepts merchants of races with a rank of C or higher."
Li Zhi paused for a moment, then asked, "Celia, have you ever heard of beings who can break the level cap of a race?"
Celia: "Yes."
Li Zhi's eyes lit up.
Celia: "That's a very small minority. Every person who can break through the racial level cap is the strongest of that race. Li Zhi, your race has already spread throughout the Apocalypse Continent. The information I've received is that you are a very large race."
"This is both a good thing and a bad thing."
"You should understand what I mean."
Li Zhi understood, of course.
No matter where you are, becoming the strongest of your race is an extremely difficult thing.
For most people, the probability is always zero.
The sheer number of people means there are even more outstanding individuals, making the probability of Li Zhi becoming the strongest human being infinitely close to zero.
Li Zhi: "But how do you define 'strongest'? Strongest in combat? Strongest in intelligence? Or something else?"
Celia: "It's all possible. Every being who breaks the racial limit is in the Tower of Celebrities in Apocalypse. They existed and left behind history and legends. If you have the chance, you can go to Twin Moon City to take a look. The three major lists of Apocalypse stand there, and the Tower of Celebrities is also there. It is the most peaceful and prosperous city on the Apocalypse Continent, but it also worships fame, fortune, achievement and ambition."
Li Zhi looked out the porthole at the vast ocean.
Her ambitious eyes were reflected in the porthole.
Twin Moon City, that is truly a city to be longed for.
