Pursued by the Heavenly Dao, first level up in the courtyard.

Most organizations hold two technician-level exams per year, while a few organizations hold three.

The Hongxing Steel Rolling Mill holds two worker-level examinations each year, one in the first half of the year and one in the second half.

That morning, Hongxing Steel Rolling Mill held another worker-level examination.

The higher-ups sent people to supervise, and there were occasional spot checks, so Yang Jianye didn't dare to interfere.

Yi Zhonghai's fitter skills were only at the mid-level of a level seven fitter, and he failed to be promoted to level eight fitter.

After graduating from junior high school at night school, Liu Haizhong began attending senior high school at night school. As his cultural knowledge improved, his forging skills also improved rapidly.

Previously, Liu Haizhong's professional level was always inferior to Yi Zhonghai's, for one simple reason: insufficient knowledge reserves.

The night school classes helped Liu Haizhong increase his knowledge base day by day. He could now understand the forging knowledge that he had only vaguely understood before.

In the recent worker level examination at Hongxing Steel Rolling Mill, Liu Haizhong barely passed the assessment for the eighth-level forging worker.

Hongxing Steel Rolling Mill, canteen.

He Yuzhu took the eighth-level cook exam, and Tang Ze did not interfere. He Yuzhu was promoted to the eighth-level cook.

The small kitchen in the steel rolling mill needed He Yuzhu's culinary skills.

Tang Ze is the cafeteria manager. If He Yuzhu shirks his responsibilities, he will also be in trouble.

He Yuzhu and Tang Ze, who were outwardly friendly but inwardly at odds, stopped their sharp-tongued confrontation.

The two reached an agreement that as long as He Yuzhu cooked the dishes well, Tang Ze would no longer target him.

Ministry of Metallurgical Industry, Engineer Examination Room.

Jiang Fan passed the Level 9 Engineer exam and obtained the Level 9 Engineer certificate.

At dusk, Yan Bugui watered the flowers at the gate again.

Seeing Liu Haizhong riding over with a big smile, Yan Bugui stepped forward to help lift the bike, feigning ignorance as he asked, "Old Liu, did you find a gold mine? You're all smiles!"

Liu Haizhong's voice wasn't quiet as he chuckled and pulled out an ID: "What gold ingot? See this? Old Yan, level eight forger, I'm the only one in the steel mill!"

There are only five level-eight workers in the Hongxing Steel Rolling Mill, and he is the only level-eight forging worker.

As one of the five level-eight workers in the factory, Liu Haizhong was extremely proud.

Yan Bugui said enviously, "Old Liu, an eighth-grade blacksmith has a large quota and a high salary. Your monthly salary must be over a hundred, right? This is great news! Why don't you host a celebration?"

Liu Haizhong, who still wanted to become an official, quickly said, "Old Yan, the higher-ups advocate thrift and we can't be extravagant. Let's skip the banquet. I'll buy some groceries this weekend, and you can come to my house for a couple of drinks."

Yan Bugui laughed and said, "Old Liu, I'll remember this."

"Old Yan, I'll come and call you this weekend. I'm heading back now." As soon as Liu Haizhong finished speaking, he pushed his bicycle toward the central courtyard.

Excluding Qi Bing in the east courtyard, there are four bicycles in the courtyard.

Xu Damao's bicycle was a company bicycle provided by the factory.

Jiang Fan's bicycle was part of Lou Xiao'e's dowry.

Liu Haizhong bought his bicycle with his own money.

Yan Bugui's bicycle was a second-hand vehicle he bought.

Since July of last year, in addition to money, a bicycle ticket is also required to buy a new bicycle.

With a bicycle ticket and a little over a hundred yuan, you can buy a bicycle.

After buying a bicycle, you still need to register it, which costs more than two yuan a year.

A few minutes later, Yi Zhonghai, He Yuzhu, and Jia Dongxu walked back to the courtyard house.

Yan Bugui greeted him with a smile: "Old Yi, Old Liu has become an eighth-level blacksmith, and you've become an eighth-level fitter too?"

Yi Zhonghai glanced at Yan Bugui and said calmly, "I don't have the ability to become an eighth-level fitter."

Jia Dongxu, still a first-class fitter, didn't even glance at Yan Bugui and walked straight to the Intermediate Court.

He Yuzhu's mood was neither very good nor very bad; in any case, his cook rank had been promoted one level.

Of course, with He Yuzhu's current cooking skills, he's not much worse than a level 5 cook.

Yan Bugui asked with some skepticism, "Old Yi, you really didn't pass the Level 8 fitter exam?"

Yi Zhonghai forced a smile and said, "I'm still at level seven; I didn't pass level eight. I'm getting old; my brain and hands aren't as nimble as young people's anymore."

After chatting idly with Yan Bugui for a while, Yi Zhonghai returned home feeling depressed.

When Jia Dongxu returned, Zhang Cuihua and Qin Huairu immediately inquired about the exam results.

Even though they were mentally prepared, Zhang Cuihua and Qin Huairu resented Yi Zhonghai again upon learning that Jia Dongxu was still a first-class fitter.

After smoking a cigarette at home, Yi Zhonghai went to the house of the deaf old lady in the backyard.

"Zhonghai, judging from your expression, you failed the Level 8 fitter exam again?"

"Madam, you noticed that?"

"I'm over seventy years old, if you can't even tell, wouldn't I have lived in vain?"

"Madam, Liu Haizhong has become an eighth-level blacksmith."

"The steel rolling mill's worker level exam is supervised by higher-ups, and there will be random checks in the future. Not to mention that Xiao Yang can't interfere, even if he lets you pass the eighth-level fitter exam, the consequences if you are caught in a random check later are something neither you nor Xiao Yang can bear."

The following morning, at the Hongxing Steel Rolling Mill.

Jiang Fan became a level nine engineer and served as the deputy head of the technical department of Hongxing Steel Rolling Mill. His announcements resounded throughout the entire factory.

Jiang Fan's direct advancement from a level 14 technician to a level 9 engineer was largely due to Qi Bing's influence.

The same words spoken by different people can have vastly different effects.

Qi Bing prefers to speak with facts and data. In order to break the seniority system in technical positions, he had the Comprehensive Management Bureau collect a lot of intelligence. He then found some senior members and criticized the seniority system in technical positions and the practice of laymen instructing experts.

To accelerate the industrial progress of the Xia Kingdom, the examinations for technical positions have removed restrictions based on years of service and age.

Based on the principle of prudence, examinations must be conducted at each level. As long as one has the ability, one can take the exams continuously. In theory, a level 16 technician with genuine skills can continue to take the exams all the way up to a level 1 engineer.

In the dead of night, Qi Bing glanced at the sleeping Liu Xiaoqian, then used his telekinetic powers to fly quietly to Yucheng.

After using his mental powers to investigate for a while, Qi Bing felt a great sense of accomplishment.

"In another ten days or so, the five amphibious tunnel boring machines will be completed."

At the beginning of last year, he handed over the technical data of the amphibious tunnel boring machine to Chongqing Industrial Group.

His amphibious tunnel boring machine design incorporates some submarine technology, allowing it to be used both on land and underwater.

After leaving Chongqing, Qi Bing went to the port city for a look, and then returned to the East Courtyard.

Holding his wife Liu Xiaoqian in his arms, inhaling the delicate fragrance, he slept soundly until he naturally woke up.

Around 7 a.m., Qi Bing dropped Liu Xiaoqian off at the school gate and then went fishing by the river.

"After a while, we'll work on some pharmaceutical and medical equipment technologies, and that'll be it for this year."

Qi Bing sat fishing by the river, holding a book in his hand.

During his last trip abroad, he visited many libraries and museums and collected a lot of modern and ancient books.

Using corn kernels as bait eliminates the need for frequent baiting, making it convenient for him to read.

Qi Bing planned to first read books to accumulate knowledge, and then figure out how to optimize the Heaven and Earth Profound Yellow Technique.

Recently, he has been reading mainly the Yongle Encyclopedia.

Qi Bing went to great lengths to witness the Yongle Encyclopedia.

He searched numerous museums and libraries overseas, but still couldn't collect the complete Yongle Encyclopedia.

After returning to the Xia Kingdom, the Qi soldiers used their mental powers to decompose and synthesize objects, infiltrating one ancient tomb after another.

After expending considerable effort, he found the complete Yongle Encyclopedia in an ancient tomb.

With the aid of his mental power, using the methods of decomposition and synthesis, he created a set of the Yongle Encyclopedia in alloy and a set of the Yongle Encyclopedia in paper.

The Yongle Encyclopedia comprises over 20,000 volumes, more than 10,000 books, and over 300 million characters, covering various fields such as poetry, history, medicine, local chronicles, crafts, folklore, astronomy, and geography. It consists entirely of complete excerpts from the original texts, without adding or altering a single word.

Hearing the trembling sound of the rod tip, Qi Bing put down the book in his hand, pulled the rod, and then turned the fishing reel.

"A carp weighing over three pounds is just right for braising."

I removed the hook, threw the carp into the fish basket, hooked the corn again, and cast the line casually.

I was reading and fishing at the same time, and before I knew it, it was past four in the afternoon.

After tidying up, Qi Bing drove to the Fifth Middle School.
