About how my wife resurrected me as tentacles after my death.

Yu Wan felt it; her legs were still trembling, but she turned her head to look at the small tentacle on her shoulder that was slowly softening.

Today... is it still not like before?

The old A-Yuan could be in the kitchen... then carried to the living room, the entryway... the window, and finally to the bathroom, where she could even take a bath...

But this time, it only took a little longer than before.

It wasn't ten minutes, it was probably a few minutes longer.

She couldn't tell whether she felt relieved or felt a pang of unspoken disappointment.

Finally, I can start making the second dish.

She took two deep breaths, steadied herself against the counter, and scooped the burnt food out of the pot.

Her legs were still weak, and her knees trembled slightly with each bend, but she stood very steadily.

Her chest, hidden by the apron, heaved, her breathing not yet fully calmed.

Then......

Chen Yuan launched a desperate "fight".

......

"Wait...wait a minute, A-Yuan..."

"Didn't we already... already..."

This time... I tried even harder than before.

She lifted her entire body a few centimeters off the counter, her toes barely touching the ground...

She hurriedly reached out and grabbed the edge of the stove.

"No...no, not both at once...um..."

The tentacles lifted her a little higher, and she stood on tiptoe, trying to keep her balance. Her knees trembled as they pressed together.

The ingredients for the second dish are ready.

The vegetables in the draining basket, the meat on the cutting board, and the beaten eggs in the bowl.

She tried to reach for the spatula, but as soon as her fingers touched the handle, the tentacles gently pushed her forward.

Her fingers slid off the spatula handle and pressed down on the stove.

"Mmm...yes...yes...no...mmm...!"

Her tiptoe gave way, and she slid down half an inch before being lifted back up by the tentacles...

The second dish...was burnt too....

.......

When Chen Yuan came out of the kitchen, he had completely collapsed.

He lay on top of Yu Wan's head, his tentacles drooping.

Yu Wan also sat down, leaning back in her chair.

Her hands were still trembling slightly as she placed two plates of burnt food on the table, one black and the other even blacker.

Then she sat down at the table, looked at the two dishes, and then at the little tentacles that had slumped over beside her.

Even so... my mood has improved a lot.

Thinking of this, she turned her head slightly to hide her still flushed ears.

She brushed the hair that was hanging down to the side of her face, tucking the stray hairs that were stuck to her cheeks behind her ears, revealing a section of her neck that was still flushed pink.

It's all A-Yuan's fault... She's becoming more and more strange herself.

She looked down at the small tentacle lying on the table and gently poked it.

Chen Yuan's tentacle tip twitched slightly.

Yu Wan smiled softly.

She stood up, took the two burnt dishes away and threw them away, then retied her apron and put on a dry one...

Start cooking again.

Chen Yuan slumped on the table, hearing noises coming from the kitchen.

The tips of his tentacles twitched slightly before drooping limply.

Ugh.....

Life is so wonderful, nothing else matters.

The sunlight outside was perfect, streaming into the room through the window.

Looking at the clump of tiny purple tentacles spread out on the table, and the white-haired figure in the kitchen chopping vegetables again...
