About how my wife resurrected me as tentacles after my death.

Early in the morning, before the sunlight had fully penetrated the room.

Yu Wan was still asleep, lying on her side and holding Chen Yuan in her arms.

The neckline was loose, revealing half of her collarbone and a small patch of reddish skin.

Chen Yuan lay on her chest, trying to quietly move a little further away.

It retracted the small purple tentacles and slid out of her arms little by little.

He managed to pry open a little, and with great difficulty, he managed to squeeze out from that soft, warm place.

I'm going to upgrade my living room first, then come back and continue sleeping soundly and softly.

But just as the tip of her tentacle peeked out from the edge of her collar, Yu Wan suddenly moved.

She reached out in a daze, as if sensing something, her arm groped in mid-air, and then she grabbed his tentacle.

Her eyes were blurry, covered with a thin layer of mist, and her voice sounded like she was talking in her sleep.

"Don't go..."

Chen Yuan stopped when he saw her looking so aggrieved.

Never mind, I'll upgrade later.

My wife is still more important.

He retreated back to that soft, warm place, curling up into a small ball again, pressed against her chest.

Yu pulled her arms closer, holding him even tighter.

She rested her chin on his tentacle body, rubbing it lightly, and a faint smile curved her lips.

The morning light was gradually brightening outside the window, and the room was very quiet.

It wasn't until almost noon that Yu Wan woke up in a daze.

Sunlight was already streaming in through the small window, falling on her face.

She squinted her eyes, her whole body languid.

It's so late.

She rubbed her eyes with the back of her hand and whispered, "Why didn't A-Yuan wake me up?"

Chen Yuan raised the tip of her tentacle and made a "plop" sound in a somewhat unconvinced tone.

Not only do you refuse to get out of bed yourself, you also prevent him from getting out of bed.

Yu Wan understood, but not completely.

She shook her head to clear her mind, then reached out and lifted Chen Yuan out of her collar.

"Then go cook..."

She placed Chen Yuan on her head and walked towards the kitchen.

He hovered above her head for a while.

After she went into the kitchen, opened the refrigerator and started taking out groceries, I quietly slid down from over her head and landed on the sofa armrest.

Then I curled up in the middle of the sofa cushions and started to bring up the control panel.

It will take a while to cook, which will give him just enough time to complete the upgrade.

The number on the panel has jumped to LV.8, where experience points are full.

Click the upgrade button.

[Start upgrading - LV.8 → LV.9]

Please select the upgrade feature:

[Option 1: Thorn Attachment] Fine barbs grow on the surface of the tentacles, which can cause continuous damage to the target that comes into contact with them.

Appearance: The deep purple color deepens to a purplish-black, and the barbs turn a dark gold color.

Chen Yuan finished reading the option.

Why is it this again?

That's absolutely not allowed. Don't break Xiao Yuwan later.

[Option 2: Giant Strength Enhancement] Maximum extension diameter +600%, strength increased by the same amount.

Appearance: Increased size and darker color.

He glanced at it, then skipped over it.

The size is no longer useful; his current strength is sufficient. A larger size is just a gimmick.

[Option 3: Enhanced Attachment to the Void] Enhances spiritual divinity, indescribable, uncontrollable, and subject to degradation.

Chen Yuan stared at the description for several seconds.

Last time, when Yu Wan was drugged, he could only use the black liquid to control his body, which greatly reduced his strength.

I decisively chose the third one.

[Upgrade Complete - Current Level: LV.9]

[Unlocked Features:]

Powerful strangulation (enhanced), regeneration (minor), shadow form, liquid fusion, desperate last stand, ethereal attachment (strengthened).

Mimicry Level: 0 (Unlocked) — Unlock Condition: LV.10

Sounds came from the kitchen; Yu Wan was still cooking.

Chen Yuan slid off the sofa and moved back to the kitchen doorway.

He saw Yu Wan with her back to him, busy at the stove.

He rubbed his tentacle tip against her calf.

Yu Wan glanced down at him, then reached out and lifted him up, placing him back on top of her head.

"Okay, almost done."

She scooped the food out of the pot, then turned around and brought it to the table.

After finishing her meal, Yu Wan habitually picked him up and rubbed against him.

"I'll go to the Alliance capital city this afternoon."

she says.

Then I changed into a clean coat, pulled up the hood, and went out the door.

.......

In the Alliance's main city, the streets were bustling with people.

Yu Wan first went to the mission hall in the central tower and swiped her Special Grade Hunter certificate in front of the old terminal.

A screen pops up showing her current merit balance: 240 points.

She checked the exchange information for level 4 magic cores.

[Level 4 Magic Core (No Attribute) - Exchange Requirement: 300-450 Merit Points]

We are still 60 points short.

It's not a lot, but it still requires another small task to make up for it.

As she was about to turn and leave, she caught a glimpse of a short queue outside the window on the side of the hall.

The alliance's compliance registration window.

You can get your petting permits, weapons registration, and identity verification all done there.

Perfect timing, let's register A-Yuan's identity while we're at it.

She went over and joined the queue. After the person in front of her finished, she went to the window, handed over her documents, and said:

"I want to register a pet, a small monster, harmless."

A young staff member sat behind the window, took her ID, glanced at it, and then looked up at her again.

Long, silvery-white hair; blood-red eyes.

"Top-tier hunters are not under the control of the Alliance."

Just as Yu Wan was about to say that this was temporary, a somewhat familiar voice came from beside her: "Yu... Sister Yu Wan..."

She turned her head.

Lian Qi stood next to a pillar in the hall. The bandage on his arm had been removed, and a piece of gauze was still attached.

Her eyes looked at Yu Wan, then she quickly lowered her head.

Then he only dared to take a small step toward her, stopping at a distance that was neither too close nor too far.

"Um... I'm off today, I came to deliver some documents for my dad..."

"I saw Sister Yu Wan was going to register...that...that top-level hunter status, my father can help you get it officially recognized."

"A formally authorized Special Grade Hunter, not a temporary one, doesn't need to register monsters or magical beasts..."

Yu Wan also looked up at her, her gaze fixed on her.

It's always better to save trouble if you can, and having a formal top-tier hunter identity is definitely not a bad thing.

But...why...?

Lian Qi felt a little uneasy under her gaze.

However, Yu Wan remained silent for a few seconds before saying, "Thank you."

Lian Qi was stunned for a moment, as if she hadn't expected her to thank her, and then quickly shook her head.

"It's...it's nothing..."

Yu Wan watched her figure disappear into the crowd.

Now they're even more deeply entangled with the league...

But risks and rewards always go hand in hand.

To reach level four core, you still need at least 60 merit points.

So the next step is to quickly make up for those sixty merit points...
