During the rest of the trip, Yun Yu no longer thought about what it would be like to become Sirius; instead, he wholeheartedly immersed himself in enjoying the facilities.

He stopped thinking about anything related to the battle. At this moment, he was just an ordinary twenty-year-old young man playing with Sister Su Mo in the amusement park, nothing more.

They did a lot of exciting things.

The roller coaster was a giant one with three 360-degree loops. The ride lasted two minutes. Su Mo screamed from beginning to end, and Yun Yu screamed along with her. The two of them held hands the whole time. When they got off, their hair was blown into a mess by the wind, but they laughed at each other.

When the pirate ship reached its highest point, Su Mo was almost parallel to the ground. She was terrified. Yun Yu laughed at Su Mo, but Su Mo pinched her again.

Especially in the haunted house, Yunyu was frightened by the staff and almost released a cross-shaped light dart.

By the time they had finished enjoying these thrilling activities, it was already night.

All the lights in the amusement park were turned on. The streetlights on both sides of the main road looked like a string of golden pearls. The outer walls of the fairy tale castle were illuminated by colorful lights, and the roof of the carousel shimmered with a dreamy glow.

There were fewer tourists than during the day, but the atmosphere was even more romantic, with couples holding hands everywhere, and a sweet scent filling the air.

After trying a series of thrilling rides, they finally got to ride the Ferris wheel.

The seats in the cabin were arranged in two rows facing each other, but Su Mo did not sit on the opposite side. Instead, she sat down directly next to Yun Yu, shoulder to shoulder and arm to arm.

The cabin was small, just the right size for two people to sit together. Su Mo's hair would occasionally brush against Yun Yu's cheek, carrying a faint scent of shampoo.

As the Ferris wheel slowly ascends, the city's night view unfolds little by little outside the window, like a scroll painting being unfurled.

Seeing Su Mo taking pictures of the city's night view with her camera, Yun Yu thought of something and said:

"If I take you to an even higher place to shoot night views in the future, how will you thank me?"

As he said this, he looked out the window at the night view, his tone seemingly casual, but he was secretly observing Su Mo's reaction out of the corner of his eye.

Hearing this, Su Mo was stunned for a moment, then reached out and pinched Yun Yu's elbow again.

"I brought you to the amusement park with the tickets, and I haven't even asked you for a thank you yet. You're just making empty promises and expecting me to thank you?"

She didn't pinch him very hard, but her tone was slightly mocking.

She put down her camera, turned her head to look at Yunyu, her eyes sparkling against the backdrop of the night scene, as if they held an entire starry sky.

"Ouch, ouch, ouch, I was wrong, I was wrong. I promise, I promise I won't take any benefits and will take you to a higher place."

Yun Yu immediately surrendered, her facial expression perfectly matching the situation.

"That's more like it."

After listening, Su Mo chuckled softly, then gently twisted the hand that was pinching Yun Yu's arm, and directly hooked her arm around Yun Yu's arm.

She wrapped her arm around Yun Yu's arm and held it tightly, then rested her head slightly on Yun Yu's shoulder.

The entire action was performed without the slightest hesitation, as if taking Yun Yu's arm was the most normal thing in the world.

"Let's take a group photo."

She raised her camera and aimed it at the two of them, the lens showing the night view outside the window and their close-up figures.

Upon smelling the enticing aroma, Yun Yu froze completely.

Su Mo's hair brushed against his neck, carrying a faint fragrance. Her arm was linked with his, her soft body pressed against his side, and her breath gently brushed against his collarbone.

Yun Yu dared not move, afraid that he might touch something he shouldn't, and that he might break the ambiguous yet beautiful atmosphere at that moment.

His body was taut like a steel plate, his hands were neatly placed on his knees, and his eyes were fixed straight ahead, not daring to blink too forcefully.

But he wanted to move more, because he wanted to be closer to Su Mo.

These thoughts only dared to linger in his mind; his body, however, was frozen in place, and he dared not move an inch.

But Su Mo seemed oblivious to their intimacy. Holding the camera in one hand and linking her arm with Yun Yu's in the other, she adjusted the angle and snapped two photos in quick succession.

The flash went off twice, particularly glaring in the cramped cockpit.

After taking the photos, Su Mo placed the camera on her lap, took out two undeveloped photos from the exit, and then naturally placed one in Yun Yu's palm and held the other in her own hand. The two of them covered the photos with their hands and waited for them to develop.

The outlines of the two photos gradually emerged in their hands.

The first photo was taken from the side, with the city night view outside the window as the background. Yun Yu sat stiffly, staring straight ahead, while Su Mo held his arm, rested her head on his shoulder, and smiled with her eyes crinkling like a cat that had stolen candy.

In the second picture, Yunyu is a little more natural, but you can still see his nervousness and shyness. His lips are slightly upturned, and he looks like he wants to laugh but is too embarrassed to do so, which is captured completely by the camera.

In the photo, Yunyu's movements are stiff, yet she can't hide her shyness.

Su Mo looked at Yun Yu.

She didn't look at the photo, but turned her head to look quietly at the boy beside her.

Moonlight streamed through the glass window, casting soft shadows on his profile. He had long eyelashes, a straight nose, slightly pursed lips, and a flushed face, like a primary school student caught doing something wrong.

His eyes were fixed ahead, avoiding her gaze, but the hand holding the photograph tightened slightly.

Su Mo looked at him, her smile growing wider.

She just stared at him quietly for a long, long time, so long that Yun Yu noticed her gaze and his face turned even redder, but he still didn't dare to turn his head away.

By the time Yunyu dropped Su Mo off at her apartment building after their amusement park trip, it was already late at night.

The amusement park wasn't too far from Su Mo's home, but the two walked very slowly, chatting intermittently along the way. Eventually, they fell silent, simply holding hands and walking slowly.

The streetlights cast long shadows of the two people, overlapping each other so that it was impossible to tell whose shadow was whose.

Su Mo's neighborhood was very quiet. Only a few streetlights were still on late at night, and the chirping of insects came from the grass.

The two stopped at the entrance of the apartment building, neither of them letting go of each other's hands, and just stood there holding hands.

"Well then, goodbye." Su Mo let go of Yun Yu's hand, and before letting go, she gently hooked her little finger around Yun Yu's palm.

It was a very light touch, like a feather gently brushing against the tip of the heart, carrying a hint of reluctance and a hint of teasing.

After hooking her fingers, she slowly released her grip, letting each finger slide away from Yun Yu's palm until their tips touched and then separated completely.

The moment she let go, Yun Yu felt a profound emptiness in her heart.

The warmth of Su Mo still lingered in his palm, but that soft hand was no longer there.

He opened his mouth, wanting to say something—to say, "I had a lot of fun today," to say, "Can we hang out again next time?" to say, "Do you like me?" But the words that came out were:

"Okay, goodnight."

The voice was very soft and flat, as if talking about a trivial matter.

But only Yun Yu himself knew how fast his heart was beating.

Su Mo seemed to have expected this. She didn't say anything, just waved to him, and then turned and walked into the building.

The apartment building door clicked shut, cutting off their view of each other.

Everything was as before. Yun Yu waited for Su Mo to send a message that she had safely arrived at the room, while Su Mo quietly observed Yun Yu's reaction to the message from the window.

Yun Yu stood at the entrance of the apartment building, not leaving immediately, but taking out her phone, looking down at the screen, waiting for a message to pop up from that familiar profile picture.

Upstairs, behind Su Mo's window, Su Mo was hiding through a gap in the curtains, secretly looking down.

She watched Yun Yu standing downstairs, looking down at his phone, and watched him pace back and forth for a couple of steps before stopping. A smile unconsciously crept onto her lips.

This time, however, Yun Yu seemed to sense something and looked up.

He didn't know why, but he suddenly felt like he was being watched, as if a gaze was falling on him.

He subconsciously looked up and gazed in the direction of Su Mo's window.

The moment Yun Yu looked up, she spotted the thief secretly watching her.

Through the gap in the curtains, the thief's face was pressed against the glass, his eyes wide open, looking down.

Their eyes met in mid-air. The thief was stunned for a moment, clearly not expecting Yun Yu to suddenly look up and be caught red-handed.

This thief is wicked too. Even though he's been caught, he just smiles softly, and without caring whether Yun Yu outside can hear or understand, he whispers:

"coward..."
