(Oh dear, I've read some of the readers' private messages, and I must apologize first. I didn't really think that much about it when I was writing. The fact that multiple transmigrators are a problematic element is mainly because this character was originally designed by the author; he wouldn't live for that many chapters. Also, it mainly introduces the new knight the protagonist transforms into, as well as other characters like the Dragon King's Palace. It also explores what kind of person a transmigrator would become if they lost control or blindly pursued power. But it's alright; it's a good thing that people are communicating with the author, and it's helpful for the author's future works.)

Outside the main gate of the Municipal Hospital.

When Lin Yumin got out of her silver-gray SUV, she casually took off her sunglasses and put them in her shirt pocket.

Today she wore a neatly tailored beige trench coat over a white shirt and dark trousers. Her hair was a little looser than usual, with a wisp of hair slipping down from behind her ear and clinging to her cheek.

She glanced down at her phone screen; there were no new messages.

She frowned slightly, then turned her phone over and held it face down in her hand, looking up at the white-walled hospital building in front of her.

The building's glass curtain wall reflected the morning sunlight into a blinding white light, and she squinted in that light.

The three characters "Shen Yunzhou" lay quietly in the message list on her phone screen. She had sent him a message in the morning asking which ward he was in, and he replied quickly, adding a smiling emoji.

That expression made her inexplicably uncomfortable, but she couldn't quite put her finger on why.

She stepped onto the hospital entrance steps, the hem of her trench coat swaying gently with her movements.

As she passed the small square in front of the gate, she caught a glimpse of a figure holding a sign out of the corner of her eye.

She was a woman in her fifties, wearing a faded floral shirt with the sleeves rolled up to her elbows, revealing her tanned forearms.

She was holding up a foam board about half her height, on which were written in large red markers: "Free accommodation, need free accommodation?" Next to it was a crookedly drawn smiley face.

She stood beside the flowerbed at the hospital entrance, bowing slightly to everyone who passed by, repeating the same sentence in a gentle voice: "Free accommodation, do you need free accommodation? I'm really not a scammer."

A middle-aged man carrying a briefcase walked quickly past her without even glancing at her.

A young mother holding her child pulled the child closer to her and took a step to the side.

An old man stopped in front of her for two seconds, looked the sign up and down, shook his head and walked away.

The woman was not discouraged; she simply turned the sign around and addressed the new group of people who came out.

Lin Yumin glanced at her. Then she walked straight past the woman, the slight breeze from her trench coat causing the foam board to sway gently.

Less than two minutes after Lin Yumin's figure disappeared behind the automatic doors of the hospital lobby, a red supercar roared into the hospital parking lot.

The engine sounded again after a few seconds of silence, this time much more steady.

After the car found an empty space and came to a complete stop, the rear windows were eagerly rolled down.

Ye Yang's face was half-out of the car window, his hair was a mess from the wind, but he didn't care at all.

He spotted the figure holding a foam board next to the flower bed at a glance, and his eyes lit up.

He pounded on the car door, leaned half his body out of the window, and shouted loudly, "Aunt Chang!"

The woman beside the flower bed turned her head.

Her face was flushed from the sun, her forehead was covered with a fine layer of sweat, and a few strands of gray hair clung to her temples.

The moment she saw Ye Yang, all the wrinkles on her face smoothed out, and her eyes narrowed into slits as she smiled.

She tucked the foam board under her arm, freed one hand, raised it high, and waved it forcefully at Ye Yang.

Ye Yang pushed open the car door and rushed out. He strode across the small concrete area between the parking lot and the flower bed.

His canvas shoes made a slapping sound on the ground, and the magenta camera hanging around his neck bounced with his running movements.

He ran very fast, so fast that he almost couldn't stop in front of Aunt Chang, and stumbled forward a step before regaining his balance.

Lin Ying, sitting on the other side of the back seat, instinctively reached for the car door the moment she saw Ye Yang rush out.

At this moment, Lin Xingran turned her head from the side, one hand resting on the back of the passenger seat, the other pointing at Lin Ying, and said in a drawn-out voice, "Hey—where are you going?"

"Aren't you going to park with your beloved second sister? Are you just going to leave me here all alone? Parking alone is so boring. What if I back up and hit a pillar? What if some inconsiderate person bumps into my car? Lin Ying, how can you be so heartless?"

Lin Ying glanced back at her. Sunlight streamed in through the car window behind her, casting a warm golden glow on her silver-white hair.

She looked at her second sister's exaggerated expression and the corners of her mouth curled up slightly.

"Second sister... good luck," she said softly.

Lin Xingran leaned over from the driver's seat, pointing a finger at Lin Ying's back. Her mouth opened slightly, clearly not expecting that her most obedient younger sister would actually leave like this.

"So, Lin Ying! Ye Yang's only been back for a day and you've already switched sides! I've raised you for over ten years! Over ten years! And he only needed one day! One day! And you ran off with him!"

Lin Ying was walking on the path leading to the flower bed when she heard her second sister shouting these words from inside the car, and she paused for a moment.

She turned her head and gave Lin Xingran a faint smile.

The sunlight fell directly on her face, turning her silver-white hair golden.

Lin Xingran pursed her lips, shrank back into the driver's seat, and then placed both hands on the steering wheel.

"Fine, fine, everyone go ahead and park, I'll park by myself." She muttered to herself and began to slowly move the car deeper into the parking lot.

There weren't many empty spaces in the parking lot, so she turned the steering wheel and looked around. Then her eyes fell on a silver-gray SUV parked in the corner.

She stopped her car and tilted her head to look at the car for several seconds.

The SUV was clean, with a roof rack on the roof and a small sticker of the First Federal Military Academy's emblem on the rear window.

She blinked, took off her sunglasses, leaned out of the car window, and looked more closely.

"Sigh—this car looks familiar." She squinted, folded her sunglasses and hung them on her collar, then slapped the steering wheel. "Isn't this my older sister's SUV? What's she doing at the hospital?"

She sat in the car for about two seconds, then quickly parked the car in the empty space next to her.

While parking, she was so distracted that she almost scraped the back of the car against a pillar, but she didn't even notice.

Her attention was completely captured by the silver-gray SUV.

Beside the flower bed, Ye Yang stood in front of Aunt Chang, slightly bent over, catching his breath before he could catch his breath.

He straightened up, wiped the little bit of sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand, and said with a hint of a smile, "Am I late?"

Aunt Chang smiled and shook her head. She leaned the foam board against the flower bed and used both hands to help Ye Yang straighten his collar, which had been blown askew by the wind.

"Oh, no, no. It's great that you could come. Shouldn't you be at home today? You messaged me yesterday saying you found your biological parents, and I thought you wouldn't be free for the next few days."

She glanced at Ye Yang's face, her voice tinged with concern as she asked, "How's the new house? Are you settling in?"

Ye Yang straightened up, but before he could answer, Lin Ying had already walked up behind him.

Aunt Chang paused for a moment, then her smile deepened.

"This is..." Aunt Chang tilted her head, looked at Lin Ying, and then at Ye Yang.

Ye Yang turned to the side, gestured towards Lin Ying, and introduced her in a light tone, "Oh, her name is Lin Ying. You could say she's my cousin. You could say that."

Lin Ying stood beside Ye Yang, her hands clasped in front of her, her back ramrod straight. She looked at the warm-smiling woman before her, her lips moved slightly, and then she gave a small bow.

She wanted to say something, but the words caught in her throat. In the end, she just nodded slightly, a faint blush rising on her face.

It wasn't that she didn't want to speak; she was just too nervous. Whenever she faced strangers, her voice would automatically retreat, disappearing to a place she herself couldn't even find.

Aunt Chang glanced at Lin Ying and smiled gently at her. Then she turned to Ye Yang, her smile widening: "Great—you've found your biological parents."

Ye Yang leaned close to her ear, covered his mouth with his hand, and whispered, "My father is Lin Yuanshan, and my mother is Su Wanqing."

Aunt Chang's eyes widened. She stared at Ye Yang, her mouth forming a small "O," and the wrinkles at the corners of her eyes crinkled together in surprise.

"Really?" Her voice was also very low, but the surprise in her tone was completely undisguised.

Ye Yang took half a step back, put his index finger to his lips, and made a gesture for silence.

Aunt Chang took a deep breath and then gave Ye Yang a thumbs up.

Her smile was even wider than before, and the wrinkles at the corners of her eyes deepened with laughter, but she didn't ask any more questions.

She had known Ye Yang for quite some time, and she knew that this boy was sensible in his actions.

Just then, Lin Xingran's voice came from the direction of the parking lot.

"Major discovery—major discovery—" She practically ran over, her short, wine-red hair whipped back by the wind.

She slammed on the brakes as she ran toward the three people, her shoes scraping against the concrete with a short, sharp sound, and she nearly crashed into the edge of the flowerbed.

After regaining her balance, she took a couple of breaths, then grabbed Ye Yang and Lin Ying's arms and pulled them a couple of steps away from Aunt Chang.

Lin Xingran lowered her voice and said, "My older sister is at this hospital! I saw her SUV! There's no mistake! She really did go out to the hospital today. I thought she was just going out for a walk. But she came to the hospital! What's she doing at the hospital? She's not sick!"

Ye Yang blinked and said, "It can't be that much of a coincidence, can it?"

Lin Xingran spread her arms wide and said urgently, "It's such a coincidence! I heard that Shen Yunzhou was hospitalized during an operation. Who else could make our boss drive out alone on the weekend? Think about it!"

Lin Ying didn't speak, but simply tilted her head slightly and glanced in the direction of the hospital building.

Ye Yang was silent for two seconds, then nodded. He glanced back at Aunt Chang, who was standing by the flower bed waiting for them, and then at the reflective glass door of the hospital building.

"Alright then—we'll see how things go later. Let's finish Aunt Chang's chores for today while we see if we can find the eldest sister. The hospital isn't that big anyway; if we run into her, we'll just deal with whatever comes our way."
