Long Aotian glanced at the digital watch on his wrist, its strap already worn and frayed, and his expression instantly turned panicked.

He subconsciously patted the watch face twice to confirm that the hour hand was indeed pointing to 11:30, and then he bounced up like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.

"Oh dear! It's lunchtime, Master!"

He quickly straightened the collar of his shirt, which had been wrinkled during the fight, then casually swept his long hair back over his shoulders before turning around and giving Decade a slight bow.

"My benefactor, I have urgent business to attend to and must take my leave now. I will remember your kindness today and will certainly visit you another day to express my gratitude."

Before Emperor Knight could reply, Long Aotian had already turned and run towards the city center.

He ran very fast with his long legs, but he hadn't run ten meters when his right foot tripped over his left heel, and he fell forward with a jolt.

He swung his arms in the air several times, almost falling face-first to the ground.

Lin Yumin stood at the edge of the square, the hem of her trench coat swaying gently in the afternoon breeze.

As Long Aotian ran past her, he was about to trip over himself.

Lin Yumin reached out and grabbed his arm, steadying his forward-leaning center of gravity.

Long Aotian looked down at his arm that was being held, then looked up at the expressionless young woman in front of him.

Her facial features are sharp and aloof, and she exudes a unique, cool aura.

"Thank you." Long Aotian's voice was half a octave lower than when he spoke to Emperor Knight earlier.

Lin Yumin released her hand, letting it hang at her side, and said in a calm tone, "No need."

Long Aotian stood there watching her.

Lin Yumin turned around and walked back to her sisters. The hem of her trench coat swirled slightly as she turned, and a few strands of hair slipped down from behind her ears and clung to her cheeks.

Then, as Long Aotian looked around, he backed away, but his foot tripped on the edge of a stone slab in the square that had been cracked by Ma Rong, and he almost fell over again.

He quickly regained his balance, took two steps back, then turned around and ran into the depths of the alley at an even more frantic pace than before.

He knocked over an empty cardboard box while running. He turned back to the box and said "Sorry" as he ran, then kept running.

Lin Xingran stood next to Lin Ying, still holding the pineapple bun that had gone cold.

She watched Long Aotian's hurried disappearance at the end of the alley, scratched her head, and said in a puzzled tone:

"This Long Aotian is quite powerful when he fights; he can unleash a golden dragon head with a single punch, and even break through rock breath. But why does he seem so clumsy? He even trips while walking and almost fell flat on his face in front of Big Sister."

Lin Ying looked in that direction, smiled gently, and didn't reply.

On the other side of the square, Ye Yang placed his hands on his waist, the green light of the driver crystal core flashed twice, and then the entire belt automatically disengaged.

The tofu lady was still squatting on the ground, the crumpled piece of paper already filled with writing. She was poking the paper with the tip of her pen, muttering to herself as she calculated each item of compensation.

Ma Rong lay unconscious on the ground, the rock-like markings on his chest completely gone.

Ma Zhan lay beside him, staring blankly at the sky, occasionally muttering things like "tofu seller," "got killed instantly," and "Why didn't you use your ultimate move, bro?"

Ye Yang walked over to the woman, bent down and looked at the densely packed list of compensation in her hand. He noticed that she had changed the amount after "compensation for mental distress" several times.

The woman looked up at him and said in a loud voice, "What are you looking at? I need to make these two pay up before you can take them away. They knocked over my tofu stall and think they can just run away? No way! After they pay up, you can do whatever you want with them, I don't care."

Ye Yang straightened up, nodded solemnly and replied, "Okay, Auntie," then turned and walked towards the three Lin sisters.

Grandpa Li was slowly walking over from the chess stall, fanning himself with a palm leaf fan.

He saw Ye Yang de-transform, pointed at him with his fan, and smiled approvingly: "Ye Yang, you fought very well just now."

Ye Yang scratched the back of his head and grinned, "Not at all, it's all thanks to everyone's kind words. The footwork you taught me last time was a great help."

The old men who had been watching the game around the chess stall also started fanning themselves and making comments.

"Oh dear—I'm getting old, I can't keep up with the times. These days, young people even dress up in flashy clothes when they go out to fight, sometimes red like shrimp, sometimes blue like butterflies."

Another bald old man put his teacup on the stone table and added in a knowing tone, "That's right. Back in our day, we didn't have all these fancy tricks. We'd just go in wearing a pair of shorts, and after we were done, we'd have to come back and keep laying bricks. These young people nowadays—"

Just as Ye Yang was about to say a few modest words, several children rushed over from under the old locust tree and started circling around him.

Several children looked up, their eyes sparkling with curiosity.

The boy with the buzz cut spoke first, his voice crisp and loud: "Ye Yang, Ye Yang! That red one and that blue one you wore were so cool! There was music and announcements when you wore the armor! So cool!"

A girl with a small bun next to him also shouted, "More handsome than Long Aotian!"

The little boy next to him, whose arms were so strong he looked like he could kill someone with a single punch, scratched his head in confusion and said in a soft voice:

"But—why is your armor pink? My sister says boys shouldn't wear pink, is it because—"

He tilted his head and thought for a moment, then his eyes suddenly lit up, as if he had found some amazing answer. "Oh—! I know! Because you're a sissy, right?"

Several children looked up at Ye Yang at the same time, blinking their eyes and sincerely waiting for his answer.

Lin Xingran was standing to the side drinking the mineral water that Principal Tang had given her.

The moment she heard the word "sissy," water gushed out of her mouth. She quickly covered her mouth with her hand, her shoulders shaking violently.

Ye Yang's lips twitched.

He looked down at the faces filled with curiosity, pointed to the magenta camera on his chest with his index finger, and said earnestly, "That's magenta. Not pink."

After exchanging bewildered glances, the girl with the small pigtails was the first to ask, "What's the difference?"

Another little boy with a runny nose asked, "Is 'magenta' the scientific name for 'pink'? The teacher said that tomatoes are also called 'xiongxi' (番茄), so is 'pink' also called 'magenta'?"

The man with the buzz cut nodded vigorously, finding the analogy quite apt.

Ye Yang opened his mouth, his finger still raised in mid-air, his complete explanation of "magenta is a composite spectral hue between rose red and purple red produced when red and blue light are mixed in a specific ratio in the RGB color value" had not yet come out of his throat.

Several adults walked over from the chess stall and grabbed their children by the ears.

Grandpa Li, fanning himself with a palm leaf fan in one hand and twisting the boy's ear with the other, said in a slow and unhurried voice:

"Go away, you've seen the excitement, go home and do your homework. How far have you gotten with the multiplication tables? Ye Yang knew two thousand skills at eighteen, and you can't even recite the multiplication tables properly."

The boy with the buzz cut was being dragged into the alley by Grandpa Li, who was pulling him by the ear. As he walked back, head tilted to the side, he kept shouting to Ye Yang, "Brother Ye Yang! Remember to bring your new skills to show us next time you come! -- Don't listen to what my grandpa said -- I think pink looks pretty good too!"

The children were herded away by their parents like ducks.

The alleyway returned to its previous lively yet peaceful daily rhythm.

A new round of fierce battles began at the chess stall, the charcoal fire at the barbecue stall blazed up again, and the tofu lady was still relentlessly adding compensation items to that piece of paper.

Ye Yang stood at the edge of the square, watching the children who were being pulled by the ears and were turning around to make faces at him. A gentle smile appeared on his lips.

The sunlight fell on him, giving the edges of his white T-shirt a faint golden hue.

Lin Xingran appeared quietly beside him.

Her eyes were even brighter than when she saw Long Aotian unleash the golden dragon head, and a subtle smile played on her lips.

"What's with those two other suits of armor you just conjured up, my dear brother?"

"First, what's the red one called? Ah, I think it's Ku, or Ku... never mind. Then there's the blue one, what did you call it again? Dragon form? Is your transformation ability to switch between different colored armors? So next time, can you transform into a green one? Or a rainbow one?"

Ye Yang turned to look at her.

Lin Xingran was looking up at him with her eyes wide open, and the bloodshot veins in her eyes from staying up all night playing games were still faintly visible.

Ye Yang waved his hand, then said casually, "That's how it is. You'll see more of it in the future."

Lin Xingran followed behind him for two steps, gesturing with her fingers in the air.

"How much is 'more'? Five sets? Ten sets? Twenty sets? Could you lend me your belt so I can transform and play around with it? I promise I'll only play for a little while. I even practiced your transformation move in front of the mirror this morning—'Remember this, passing Kamen Rider'—I practiced it several times!"

Ye Yang didn't even turn his head, but simply raised his right hand and waved it casually, making a "no way" gesture.

Lin Ying stood behind, watching her second sister chase after Ye Yang's retreating figure, and the corners of her mouth curled up slightly.
