Am I a Kamen Rider or the real young master who was switched at birth?

Chapter 50 Kamen Rider Can't Be Without a Motorcycle

Lin Xingran was standing in front of the full-length mirror in the fitting room. She leaned on the mirror frame with one hand, pointed at the mirror with the other, tilted her head from side to side, and said in a puzzled tone:

"There was clearly a crack just now, how come it's gone now? That's strange, my eyes should be fine, although I played games until 2 am last night, I drank coffee this morning. Could this be a new type of shatterproof glass? The kind that automatically repairs itself after breaking? That thing must be valuable, I need to ask the clerk what brand it is—"

Before she could finish speaking, a ripple suddenly appeared on the mirror in front of her.

Then a silver-red figure jumped directly out of the mirror.

It was a knight wearing red and silver armor, with multiple horizontal grilles on the front of his helmet and a dragon emblem on his forehead.

The red compound eyes shone brightly behind the grille, and a silver-red dragon-shaped summoning device was mounted on the left forearm.

Lin Xingran let out an extremely unladylike scream, then leaned back and sat down on the ground with a thud.

The new light-colored jeans she had specially bought for shopping today made intimate contact with the floor, and her phone flew out of her hand, tumbling several times in the air before being caught by Long Qi with lightning speed.

Lin Yumin and Lin Ying turned their heads at the same time upon hearing the scream.

Lin Yumin was holding Ye Yang's clothes when she saw the red and silver armored man suddenly appear at the door of the fitting room, and her fingers tightened slightly.

Lin Ying quickly walked to Lin Xingran's side and then reached out to support her second sister's shoulder, who was still sitting on the floor.

The surrounding shop assistants were also startled by the sudden commotion, and two young female shop assistants hugged each other and took several steps back.

The dragon rider slowly squatted down and handed the phone he had just received to Lin Xingran, who was still sitting on the ground looking completely bewildered. His red compound eyes calmly watched her from behind the grille.

"Second sister, are you alright?" His voice came from inside the helmet.

Lin Xingran took the phone, and then was pulled up from the ground by Long Qi.

She patted the dust off her bottom, then pointed at the dragon rider's mask, and then at the mirror behind him that had returned to its calm state, her eyes wide with surprise.

"Where—where did you go? We've been looking for you for ages! My sister knocked on the door several times but you didn't answer. We even kicked the door open, but it was empty. And how did you get out of the mirror? Why do you always disappear without a word?"

Ye Yang took the Decade Driver off his waist and deactivated the transformation.

The magenta light particles receded from the dragon rider's armor and returned to his belt. The silver-red armor peeled away layer by layer, revealing a face with a slightly embarrassed smile underneath.

He scratched his head and said in a relaxed tone, "Someone just invited me to visit inside the mirror, no big problem. There was just a guy with an axe and a few silent beasts who tried to trap me inside—but we got rid of them."

Lin Yumin put the clothes on the communal sofa to the side, then walked over and stood in front of Ye Yang.

She quietly looked him up and down, making sure there were no injuries on his arms or legs, before asking in a casual tone, "You're not hurt?"

Ye Yang opened his arms to show her that apart from his hair being a little messier than before he entered the fitting room, he was completely unharmed.

"I'm fine. Those people weren't very skilled. It's just that I wasn't used to the mirror world environment at first, but I found that I could handle it by changing my form."

Lin Yumin remained silent for a moment, then nodded and did not ask any further questions.

She turned around and walked back to the sofa, calmly picking up the clothes she had just put down.

Lin Xingran wiped the phone screen several times to make sure there were no scratches before letting out a sigh of relief.

Then she crossed her arms over her chest, tilted her head, and looked Ye Yang up and down with the gaze of someone examining a work of art.

She recalled the red and silver armored knight who had jumped out of the mirror earlier, then gestured a square in the air with her hand and said:

"I think—if your armor had been black, it would have been more imposing. The red compound eyes are pretty cool, but paired with that silver helmet, the overall look is a bit—"

She considered her words carefully before continuing, "It's a bit silly. Look at your previous Dawn Form, black with purple stripes and purplish-red eyes, how cool was that! Just standing there made the opponent's legs go weak without even fighting. This red one, well, it looks like a large dog that's fierce but also kind of cute."

Ye Yang waved his hand, interrupting Lin Xingran, and said in a light tone, "Alright, let's not talk about this anymore. Let's buy what we need first, and then go back early."

"I don't want any weird people or things to pop up again—who knows how many masked shop assistants are hiding in this mall. If some kind of mirror assassin or a silent beast falls from the ceiling, I can forget about shopping today; I might as well switch to dungeon crawling."

He picked up the magenta camera from the stool in the fitting room, hung it back around his neck, and walked out of the fitting room first.

Lin Yumin and Lin Ying followed behind, while Lin Xingran was still gesturing in place, trying out her famous "wouldn't a black helmet with red compound eyes look cooler?" composition. When she realized no one was paying attention to her, she quickly caught up.

As the group walked through the men's clothing section toward the elevator, Ye Yang suddenly stopped when they passed a display area showcasing the latest seasonal styles.

He stood in front of a display shelf, as if he had been nailed to the spot by something.

A magenta shirt hung on the display rack, its magenta color gleaming slightly metallic under the light.

He pointed to the shirt, turned to look at Lin Xingran who was walking over, and asked with a serious and solemn expression, "How much is this shirt?"

Lin Xingran walked over, then glanced at the shirt in the direction Ye Yang was pointing, her mouth slightly agape.

She tilted her head and stared at him for several seconds, her mind probably racing as she imagined a person wearing a magenta shirt as a base layer and a dark suit over it standing in the banquet hall.

"You're not really going to wear this, are you? Don't you think it's a bit strange to wear a red shirt underneath? It's too bright, and the two suits you just bought are both darker colors. Won't this be too jarring?"

She pinched the cuff of the shirt with her fingers; the fabric was indeed quite nice, smooth to the touch. But the color... well, you could probably see it from half a block away if you wore it out on the street.

Ye Yang said firmly, "I don't care. This is the one."

He turned to look at the shop assistant who was smiling and waiting beside him.

"Okay, sir, here you go. Magenta is our limited edition color this season, it's very selective in terms of who can wear it, but you have fair skin, it will definitely look great on you."

Lin Xingran stood to the side, watching Ye Yang's satisfied expression as he took the shopping bag, and whispered something in Lin Ying's ear.

"It seems he really likes magenta. His transformation armor was magenta, his camera was magenta, and now he's even buying magenta shirts. Could he be buying magenta underwear too?"

Lin Ying did not answer, but her eyes curved slightly and a faint smile appeared at the corner of her mouth.

The group strolled around the mall again.

They first went to the third floor to help Qin Buwen choose a 4090 graphics card and a gamepad with vibration feedback. Lin Xingran volunteered to discuss the parameters with the shop assistant for nearly twenty minutes.

She started by talking about things like memory frequency, ray tracing, and heat dissipation design, which made the young sales clerk sweat profusely and almost think he was standing at the wrong counter.

Lin Yumin stood quietly to the side, occasionally jotting down a few keywords on her phone.

Then they went to the jewelry section on the fourth floor and picked out a watch for Ye Yang.

Lin Ying helped Ye Yang choose the watch this time, and after trying it on, he thought it was really nice.

Two hours later, the four people walked out of the mall's revolving doors, each carrying a full shopping bag.

Lin Yumin was carrying a bag containing a graphics card and a game controller, Ye Yang was carrying his suit and watch, and Lin Ying was carrying several bags of imported candies and biscuits that Lin Xingran insisted on buying.

Lin Xingran was carrying at least six or seven bags in each hand, containing not only snacks but also all sorts of strange items:

A mug that can automatically stir, a box of essential oils that claims to "instantly wake you up", a USB humidifier that looks like an alien creature, and a set of anime figurines that are supposedly limited editions.

If Lin Xingran hadn't been completely out of options, Ye Yang strongly doubted that he would have continued buying.

As they passed a shoe store, Lin Xingran suddenly slowed her pace, her eyes lingering on the rhinestone-encrusted high heels in the window several times before reluctantly turning her gaze away.

Lin Xingran lifted the shopping bags in her hands, a bright smile on her face. "Ah—shopping is such a wonderful thing! It's so great to have my own pocket money. No need to ask Mom for permission, no need to worry about my older sister's opinion. I can buy whatever I want!"

Lin Yumin walked beside her and said in a flat tone, "We were supposed to accompany Ye Yang shopping today. But you, on the other hand, bought things by yourself. What's that USB humidifier? The one you bought last time is still unopened and you've already stuffed it into the storage room."

Lin Xingran turned to look at Ye Yang, tilting her chin in his direction: "Didn't Ye Yang have a great time shopping? Two suits, a watch, and his precious magenta shirt. You asked if Ye Yang still needs anything? I'll buy it for him right now. I, Lin Xingran, keep my word. So, tell me, what else does he need?"

Ye Yang stood there and thought for a moment.

He glanced at the shopping bag containing the magenta shirt in his hand, then at the magenta camera hanging around his neck, before his gaze swept across the parking lot at the mall entrance and landed on the main road leading to the Lin family's residence in the distance.

Occasionally, a few motorcycles would whiz by on that road, their engines roaring so loudly that they could be heard from a great distance, reminding him of a question he had once pondered.

Then, with a very serious expression, he said, "We are indeed missing something very important."

The three people looked at him at the same time, waiting for him to continue.

Lin Xingran had already reached into her bag to feel for her wallet. Lin Yumin tilted her head slightly, while Lin Ying blinked, holding the bag of imported biscuits.

Ye Yang turned around and looked at them, then held up one finger and said solemnly, "A Kamen Rider can't be without a motorcycle. I don't even have a means of transportation right now. I wish I could buy a motorcycle."
