Zombie Apocalypse: Don't be afraid, I'm not a good person.

Chapter 243, Part 1: The Only Wise Zombie

The bait was all taken, and the zombies were then attracted by the corpses of the two girls.

The girls silently shed tears, sobbing and trembling, but they had to cover their mouths and dare not make a sound.

Finally, he simply covered his ears, forcing himself not to hear the sounds of his companion being eaten.

Song Haiyang waved to everyone, signaling them to leave the doorway to avoid attracting zombies with the smell.

Lin Miao wiped away her tears and pulled Li Xue and the others to the convenience store. Although the sound she had just heard had made her lose her appetite, she wanted to hurry up and give everyone something good to eat.

The zombies are already blocking the doorway; if we don't eat now, they might never get to eat again.

When they finished cooking the noodles, the zombies outside hadn't finished eating yet.

The aroma of instant noodles wafting through the room made everyone's stomachs rumble; they were desperately craving something nutritious.

Lin Miao appeared in the hall from around the corner, and almost everyone's eyes were fixed on her.

She looked around and said calmly, "The pot is small, it can't cook too much at once. Haiyang, you men come and eat first."

Seeing some girls pouting in disappointment, and fearing they might be resentful, she added, "Zombies are blocking the door outside. We'll have to rely on the men to fight for us. We can't hold them off without strength. There's still plenty of instant noodles. Sisters, just wait a bit, everyone can eat today and have their fill."

The girls immediately felt a little embarrassed, blushing as they whispered, "Sister Lin, we're not in a hurry."

"Of course we're in a hurry." Lin Miao winked at them. "I almost sneaked a bite while I was cooking. Once they're full, it'll be our turn. Soon, everyone will have some."

Several men walked into the convenience store, and the aroma became even stronger.

No one spoke; they all stared intently at the bubbling soup noodles in the pot.

A whole pot of noodles was topped with a whole sausage, and several packets of spicy strips were placed on the side as side dishes.

Li Xue stood by the pot, using chopsticks to scoop noodles into the instant noodle boxes, piling them to the brim of each bowl, then adding a few sausages on top. "Line up, one at a time."

Nearby, Feng Xiaoran and Guan Guan were busy unpacking instant noodles and sausages.

"Li Xue, add some soup for me."

Han Jun pushed his way to the front and stood first in line, which made several people roll their eyes at him.

Li Xue ladled two spoonfuls of soup into the bowl and handed it to him.

Han Jun took it, held it under his nose, and took a deep sniff, looking quite pleased. "After finishing a bowl of instant noodles, Liu Hao can't compare to me at anything!"

Liu Hao kicked him from behind, yelling, "I'll knock one of your old teeth out!"

"Hey! You've seen it too? That makes us compatible!"

"Get out! I hate looking at you!"

There were single seats in the convenience store, and several men sat in a row eating, sweating profusely. They were so hot, but they were still drinking soup in big gulps. Their mouths were oily and spicy. It felt like this was the kind of life people should live!

Li Xue kept adding water to the pot and cooking noodles without holding back, her goal being to ensure everyone had a full meal. Even if they died later, it wouldn't be a loss.

By the time the girls started eating, the zombies outside had also finished eating. The numerous zombies, having only smelled the blood but not eaten anything, were extremely agitated.

Their noses are very sensitive; they can smell human flesh and fresh blood as soon as they tilt their heads.

They all turned their heads, their murky eyes looking at the gate of the city gate tower, then hurried over and stretched out their claws to keep banging on the gate!

"Bang! Bang bang! Bang bang bang bang!"

A series of loud knocks on the door startled everyone inside. A beautiful woman, who was enjoying her noodles, was so startled that she dropped her bowl and coughed violently, spitting noodles out of her nostrils.

But no one looked at her; they were all staring in terror at the door. Fortunately, the door was made of hardwood and was very sturdy.

When the girl saw that the door was blocked, she quickly squatted down and picked up the bowl. There was only a little less soup in the bowl. She pulled the noodles out of her nostrils, thought for a moment, and decided it was a pity to throw them away. Seeing that no one was watching her, she simply threw the noodles into the soup to rinse them and started eating again. She didn't care that she was dirty.

You only know you're hungry after you've experienced it!

At this moment, in a private residence within the ancient city.

The chubby girl lay unconscious on the ground, muttering repeatedly, "Why...why is it because she's pretty? Because she can seduce people? So what if I'm fat! So what! Why do you look down on me? Why won't you save me? Die! Die, all of you!"

Her expression was ferocious and terrifying, her thick lips surrounded by dark brown blood and bits of flesh. She mumbled unconsciously as her body trembled violently.

The skin exposed outside the clothes was purple, and something was moving rapidly under the skin, causing it to bulge and then tremble in a wave-like motion, while the bones in the body made cracking sounds.

The first-tier mutated zombie that had captured her was now lying beside her, its huge head caved in, half of its sharp teeth broken, its spine broken, and most of its flesh missing.

The room was a mess, the tables and chairs were all broken, the floor was cracked, and there was black blood everywhere. It was clear that a fierce battle had taken place.

Not long after, the chubby girl slowly woke up, opened her eyes, and her pupils gradually cleared from their grayish-white and cloudy state.

Looking at the ceiling, the view was exceptionally clear; even the structure of the spider web was clearly visible.

"I...I'm not...dead?"

Memories slowly returned: falling off the city wall, being bitten by a zombie, excruciating pain, and the pungent, sweet taste of tearing raw flesh... fragmented images flooded back, and the chubby girl suddenly sat up.

She actually survived being bitten by a mutated zombie? She even killed it and...ate its flesh?

She paused for a moment, then subconsciously touched her stomach. She felt no nausea or discomfort; instead, she felt a strange sense of satisfaction.

A sense of panic swept over her. Had she turned into a monster?

"Hehe—"

A zombie's low growl suddenly came from the doorway.

The chubby girl was startled and instinctively shrank back, her right hand instinctively bracing itself against the ground while her body lowered itself.

She froze, slowly looking down at her right arm. Below her forearm was nothing but emptiness, the place where Song Haiyang had severed it with a single stroke.

"Damn it... I'll kill you all!"

The resentment instantly overwhelmed the panic. She used her left hand to support herself as she stood up, but suddenly felt light as if a hundred-pound burden had been lifted from her body.

When she looked down again, the chubby girl stopped breathing.

She has lost weight.

Her arms were several sizes thinner, her waist and abdomen were taut and flat, her once round belly was gone, and her elephant legs had become long and slender. Her loose clothes hung loosely on her body, and could catch the wind with a sway and even fall down.

"Hehehehe..." she let out a strange laugh, her face showing a mixture of surprise and delight.

"Hehe—"

The roaring sounds at the door grew closer.

The chubby girl froze, holding her breath and afraid to move.

She cautiously raised her eyes and saw four or five ordinary zombies standing at the door, staring at the corpse of the mutated zombie on the ground, smacking their lips with longing in their eyes, but none of them pounced on her.

She tentatively moved her body, but the zombies only glanced at her lazily before turning their heads away.

"They're not attacking me?" The chubby girl's eyes lit up. "As expected, I'm the chosen one!"

Just as she was feeling pleased with herself, a strange, sweet scent suddenly wafted into her nostrils, triggering her instincts.

She slowly turned her head, following the scent, and her gaze fell directly on the head of the mutated zombie.

There, she found what she desperately longed for.
