Lin Shen carried Conan back to the second-floor room in one swift motion.

He kicked the door back with his heel, and the door slammed shut with a bang, causing dust to fall from the door frame.

He put Conan on the ground and leaned against the door to catch his breath.

My heart wasn't actually beating that fast, but after running around like that, carrying Conan and being chased by a bear, I still broke a sweat.

The four women in the corner of the room stood up abruptly when they saw the two of them return.

Yuanzi was the first to rush up, her voice trembling noticeably: "Mr. Lin! What was that commotion downstairs just now... gunshots and a bear's roar?! What happened?!"
