Seeing that Eri Kisaki still seemed to want more, Lin Shen smiled and took the MP5 from her hand.

He checked the bolt and, after confirming it was safe, put it back on the rack: "Attorney Fei, take a short break."

"Don't inject too much at once, or your arms will be so sore you won't be able to lift them tomorrow."

He smiled and added, "But if you like shooting, you can come over often in the future."

"My shooting range is always open for you."

Eri Kisaki took off her noise-canceling headphones and hung them around her neck, adjusted her glasses, and wore a rare, relaxed smile.

"President Lin, you said those words, and I've remembered them."

She glanced down at her slightly aching hands, her tone carrying a sense of relief, as if a heavy burden had been lifted:

"To be honest, I've tried many ways to relieve stress: drinking, running, working out, fishing, reading, watching TV series... but none of them work."

"The pressure is still there, and the insomnia is still there."

She looked up at Lin Shen, a serious expression in her eyes, "Today's shooting spree was more effective than two hours of gym workouts!"

Lin Shen was amused by her words and casually teased her as he walked out of the shooting range:

"No wonder Xiaolan is so prone to getting angry; it turns out she inherited it from you, Attorney Fei."

Eri, following behind him, scratched her head sheepishly after hearing this, a slightly embarrassed smile on her face:

"Oh? Is that so... I'm so sorry."

Lin Shen turned to look at her, smiled, and said, "But I think it's fine this way. It's normal for people to get angry. It's better to vent than to keep it inside."

He paused, his tone becoming more serious and warm, "Rather than having Xiaolan act like a lady who swallows everything, I prefer to see her speak her mind and get angry when she should."

Hearing this, Eri Kisaki felt a slight stirring in her heart.

She didn't reply, but the corners of her mouth unconsciously curved upwards a little more.

The two chatted as they walked back to the living room down the hallway.

After Lin Shen walked into the living room, he seemed to suddenly remember something and turned to Eri Kisaki, saying, "Attorney Kisaki, why don't you take a shower before going back?"

Upon hearing this, Eri paused for a moment, and a subtle change appeared on her face.

Seeing her expression, Lin Shen immediately realized she might have misunderstood something and quickly added:

"Otherwise, with that smell of gunpowder on you, it'll be troublesome if you get stopped and tested on the street."

When Eri heard the second half of the explanation, the subtle expression on her face disappeared, replaced by a somewhat embarrassed look. She had indeed misunderstood for a moment.

She coughed lightly to cover her embarrassment and nodded: "Indeed... you've thought of everything."

Lin Shen pointed to the end of the corridor: "The bathroom is over there, the hot water is ready. I'll have Mingmei bring you a new set of clothes later."

Eri Kisaki remained silent for a moment.

She knew that if she went straight back now, the chances of being stopped and checked by the police on the way were indeed very low.

But she didn't want to gamble her career and life on that one in ten thousand chance.

She finally nodded, her tone slightly embarrassed yet polite: "Then... thank you for your trouble, President Lin."

Lin Shen waved his hand casually, "No need to be polite."

Eri Kisaki went into the bathroom, closed the door, and then locked it from the inside.

She stood in the bathroom and looked around. The bathroom was much larger than she had imagined. The walls and floor were covered with light gray stone, and the lighting was warm.

Clean towels and bath towels were neatly arranged on the sink, and there was a large bathtub in the corner that could fit two or three people lying down.

She walked to the bathtub, turned on the tap, and hot water gushed out, steam rising.

She took off her business attire, which still smelled faintly of gunpowder, folded it neatly and placed it on a shelf to the side, took a quick shower, and then stepped into the bathtub.

As the hot water washed over her shoulders, she couldn't help but let out a soft sigh.

The feeling of my tense muscles gradually relaxing in the hot water was so incredibly comfortable.

She leaned against the edge of the bathtub and closed her eyes.

The jumbled case files, the difficult clients, and the sharp courtroom clashes in my mind all slowly faded away in the rising steam.

She stopped thinking about anything and just let her mind go blank, feeling light and airy, as if she were floating on a cloud.

She felt so comfortable that she almost fell asleep.

Just as she was drifting off to sleep, there was a gentle knock on the bathroom door.

Akemi's voice came through the door, gentle and clear: "Attorney Fei, I've left your clothes by the door."

Eri Kisaki snapped out of her half-asleep state and quickly replied, "Okay, thank you, Akemi-san."

She heard Mingmei's footsteps as she left, waited a few more seconds, then stood up from the bathtub, took the freshly opened clean towel, and dried herself.

Then, he carefully opened the door a crack, reached outside, felt for a paper bag, and brought it inside.

Inside the paper bag was a set of gray casual sportswear, made of soft fabric, folded neatly, with even the tags still attached.

She unfolded it and held it up, only to find that the size actually fit quite well!

As Eri Kisaki was dressing casually, she thought: It seems that President Hayashi often brings other women over, otherwise it's hard to explain why he would prepare a set of various sizes in advance.

After getting dressed, she folded her business suit, put it in the paper bag containing her clothes, opened the bathroom door, and went out.

When she returned to the living room, she saw Mingmei coming out of the kitchen carrying a plate of cut fruit.

When Akemi saw her, she smiled warmly, her tone carrying an irresistible warmth:

"Attorney Fei, please stay for dinner. Everything is ready, and we'll be eating soon."

Eri Kisaki instinctively wanted to politely decline; she had already had enough trouble tonight.

But before she could speak, Lin Shen's voice came down from the stairs.

He had changed into his pajamas and was drying his hair as he walked down the stairs when he casually remarked:

"Attorney Fei, aren't you supposed to be coordinating the details of the work with Mingmei? Why don't we have dinner together? It'll save you from having to make another trip tomorrow."

Eri Kisaki couldn't find a suitable reason to refuse, and besides... she was indeed feeling a bit hungry.

She paused for two seconds, then finally spoke, her tone tinged with a hint of embarrassment and politeness:

"Well then... I'll take my leave of you, Ms. Akemi."

When Mingmei heard that she had agreed, her smile widened even more. She turned and hurried back to the kitchen, saying enthusiastically as she went:

"No problem, no problem at all. Please have a seat for a while; the soup will be ready soon!"

Eri sat down on the sofa, watching Akemi busy in the open kitchen, and then looked up at Lin Shen who had already walked into the living room. A strange feeling suddenly arose in her heart.

The atmosphere inside the villa was much warmer than she had imagined!
