I'm in Detective Conan, and I start with the Grand Theft Auto system.

Chapter 2, The First Bank Robbery: Somewhat Tense

Lin Shen was so engrossed in the joy of having so many awesome weapons in the system that he was practically floating on air.

Gatling guns, RPGs, Apache helicopters, Hydra fighter jets—just thinking about them is exhilarating, and the more you think about them, the more excited you get!

Just as he was getting into his thoughts, the car suddenly lurched and turned into a narrow alley.

Lin Shen snapped out of his daze and looked outside.

We've arrived at the back alley of Mihua Bank.

The car stopped.

The engine was still running, sputtering away.

The car was silent for a few seconds, then the atmosphere suddenly changed.

At this moment, the female robber next to him spoke up: "We'll proceed according to plan. Everyone do their job. Don't do anything unnecessary!"

"When the time comes, retreat immediately. As long as you listen to me, this vote will definitely be successful."

Lin Shen knew in his heart that this woman was Miyano Akemi.

He nodded along with the other two robbers, but in his heart he was thinking: A plan? With your lousy plan, you've already lost your life.

Akemi Miyano glanced down at her watch and said in a low voice, "The armored truck will arrive in two minutes."

The car fell silent again.

Lin Shen sat in the back seat, his heart starting to race.

He was thinking about tanks and cannons a moment ago, but when it came to actually getting to work, it would be a lie to say he wasn't nervous.

After all, this was his first time committing robbery; in his previous life, he had never even received a parking ticket.

He gripped the broken pistol in his hand, a little sweat beading on his forehead.

But then I thought—what's there to be afraid of? I have a system!

MP5 submachine guns, assault rifles, and Gatling guns are all lying in the system's inventory.

If anything goes wrong, just pull it out and shoot.

I'm not afraid of Gin, so why would I be afraid of a few cash transporters?

With this thought, Lin Shen regained his composure.

He was even somewhat looking forward to it.

I wish something unexpected would happen right now, so he could have a chance to pull out a big gun and have some fun!

Just then, the sound of a car engine came from the alley entrance.

An armored truck slowly drove in; it was large and bulky, like an iron box, and stopped at the side entrance of the bank.

Akemi Miyano tensed up and said in a low voice, "Ready!"

Her eyes were fixed on the armored truck, unblinking. The door opened, and two uniformed cashiers jumped out. One of them started walking towards the back of the truck, preparing to move the cash boxes.

Seeing her opportunity, Akemi Miyano suddenly waved her hand and shouted, "Attack!"

No sooner had he finished speaking than Hirota Kenzo, the middle-aged man in the driver's seat, slammed on the gas pedal, and the van sped off with a whoosh, heading straight for the armored truck.

Before the car had even come to a complete stop, Miyano Akemi and the burly man Hirota Akira in the passenger seat had already stuck their hands out of the window and fired several shots into the air.

"Don't move! None of you are allowed to move!"

Gunshots rang out in the narrow alley, making everyone's ears ring. The armored cashiers were completely stunned; some of them were so frightened that they dropped the money boxes they were holding and squatted down, covering their heads.

Some people scrambled and crawled under the car.

But one of them reacted quickly, crouching down and reaching into his waistband for his gun.

Lin Shen saw it.

Before he could even think, his hand had already moved!

boom!

A shot was fired, and the man fell to the ground.

The gun barrel was still smoking.

Lin Shen's heart was pounding and his hands were trembling slightly. He hadn't expected his marksmanship to be so accurate.

But when he looked down at the person lying on the ground, he felt not fear, but a strange excitement.

So this is what it feels like to fire a gun.

So this is what murder is all about!

Suddenly, a message popped up on the system interface: [You are wanted by the police, currently at two stars.]

Lin Shen was stunned for a moment, then couldn't help but want to laugh.

This familiar feeling...

I'm back!!

Everything is back!!

The van braked suddenly and stopped next to the armored truck.

Akemi Miyano and Kenzo Hirota jumped out of the car, picked up their guns, and began directing the cash transport workers to move the boxes.

Akemi Miyano glanced down at her watch every now and then, clearly keeping track of the time.

Fortunately, there weren't many boxes, only five.

The cash transporters were so frightened their legs went weak, and their hands were trembling as they moved the boxes, but they didn't move slowly.

Within minutes, all five money boxes were stuffed into the trunk of the van.

"Get in! Get in now!" Akemi Miyano shouted as she jumped into the back seat.

Hirota Kenzo and Hirota Akira also climbed back into the car.

Before the car door was even fully closed, Hirota Akira had already floored the accelerator, and the bread truck shot off.

Lin Shen was thrown backward by the inertia, and the gun in his hand almost slipped out of his grasp.

The car twisted and turned through the alley, its tires screeching against the ground.

Lin Shen gripped the handle above the car door tightly, feeling like he was about to throw up from all the shaking.

He had barely managed to turn onto the main road when, before he could even catch his breath, he heard police sirens behind him.

Woo-la-woo-la-woo-la—

He looked back and saw two patrol cars chasing after him, their red lights flashing like death knells.

"Drive faster! Shake them off!" Akemi Miyano shouted at Kenzo Hirota.

Hirota Kenzo, however, remained defiant: "Don't worry! I've thoroughly investigated the routes in this area over the past few months; they can't catch up... Holy crap!?"

Before he could finish speaking, his voice turned into cursing.

Lin Shen looked ahead and saw a traffic jam.

The car taillights were a dense cluster of rear-ends, turning a large red swath.

"Damn it!" Hirota Kenzo slammed his fist on the steering wheel, and the horn blared.

No matter how well he plans or how skilled he is at driving, he can only watch helplessly when stuck in traffic!

Akemi Miyano glanced back anxiously; the police car was getting closer and closer.

Before she could even speak, Hirota Akira, who was in the passenger seat, had already leaned half his body out of the window and fired several shots at the police car behind them.

Bang bang bang!

The bullet struck the hood of the police car, sending sparks flying.

The police car was so frightened that it swerved sharply and crashed into a parked car on the side of the road. It didn't dare to give chase any further.

Although one police car stopped, the other one was still chasing.

Moreover, there seemed to be new sirens blaring in the distance, so reinforcements were probably arriving soon.

Lin Shen knew he couldn't delay any longer.

He pulled out his gun, and like Hirota Akira, leaned out and fired several shots at the police car behind him.

But the recoil of that broken pistol was greater than he had imagined. The bullets flew off somewhere and hit the utility poles on the side of the road, splashing up a cloud of cement debris.

Lin Shen then realized that the shot that killed the cashier was purely an accident!

He fired a few more shots, but the bullets continued to fly erratically.

Then pull the trigger—click.

empty.

Lin Shen looked down and saw that the magazines were all empty.

Damn it, this crappy gun has a pitifully small magazine capacity and it always fails at crucial moments.

Without saying a word, he threw the broken pistol to the side of the road, and the next second, an MP5 submachine gun appeared in his hand.

It was heavy, and the metal gun body was icy cold, giving it a very reassuring feel when held in the hand.

Lin Shen rested the gun on the car window, pointed it at the police car behind, and held the trigger firmly.

Da da da da da—

The submachine guns had an incredibly high rate of fire; bullets rained down on the police cars like they were free.

A row of bullet holes instantly appeared on the car door, the hood was riddled with holes, and the windshield shattered into a spiderweb pattern with a crash.

The police officers hiding behind the car turned pale with fright.

They may never have seen robbers use submachine guns in their lives.

The patrol cars are equipped with revolvers, which are not even in the same league as the thing in Lin Shen's hand.

The police officers didn't even dare to show their heads. They crouched down and ran towards the sidewalk, afraid that if they were a step too slow, they would be riddled with bullets.

But two of them, who were slower to run, were hit in the legs and shoulders by bullets and fell to the ground screaming.

Seeing the way those people were fleeing for their lives in such a sorry state, Lin Shen felt a surge of excitement welling up inside him.

This feeling is so damn good, the firepower is so overwhelming that you can't even lift your head.

No wonder so many people enjoy violence; the feeling of controlling someone else's life and death can be truly addictive.

He aimed his gun back at the fleeing policemen, just about to pull the trigger—

The car suddenly lurched forward!

Taking advantage of the fact that the cars blocking the road ahead were scattering in panic because of the gunshots, Hirota Kenzo managed to squeeze through the gaps and floored the accelerator, sending the bread truck rushing forward like a madman.

Lin Shen was thrown back into his seat by inertia, almost losing his grip on the MP5 player.

He settled himself in, placed the submachine gun on his lap, and cried out in pain from the heat. He quickly moved the muzzle away and finally caught his breath.
