Lin Shen tapped Snake on the head with the butt of his rifle.

Snake's eyes rolled back, and he collapsed to the ground, completely still.

Lin Shen holstered his gun and turned to look at Phantom Thief Kid: "This guy is yours to handle!"

Kidd paused for a moment, then quickly walked over and looked down to see Snake lying unconscious on the ground.

He froze for two seconds, then his eyes lit up: "Really?"

Lin Shen smiled and continued, "Haven't you been trying to lure him out the whole time?"

Kidd was overjoyed, almost jumping for joy: "Thanks! Thank you so much!"

"You know what? This bastard has been chasing me for half a year. Last month, he cornered me on the rooftop, and I almost couldn't escape."

"I've been trying to catch him, but every time he ends up surrounding me with his men. And you, you just tied him up for me!"

Lin Shen waved his hand: "No need to thank me. You can handle the rest of this mess yourself. I'm too lazy to clean it up."

He turned and walked towards Sonoko and Ran.

He took two steps, then stopped, turned around and looked at Conan, who was still standing there in a daze: "Conan, what are you still standing there for?"

Conan snapped out of his daze and was reluctant to leave!

He's quite interested in these men in gray too!

He immediately said, "You guys go back first! I want to stay and talk to Shinichi-nii!! We haven't seen each other in so long!!"

Seeing this, Lin Shen didn't bother with the love-hate relationship between the two cousins.

He said, "Okay!"

Ran also reminded him, "Conan, don't cause Shinichi any trouble!"

Conan quickly said, "Don't worry, Ran-neechan! I won't."

Subsequently,

Lin Shen, Xiao Lan, and Yuan Zi walked down the stairs, their footsteps echoing in the empty stairwell.

After walking only a few steps, Sonoko couldn't hold back any longer: "Rin! You're so handsome!"

Xiaolan nodded vigorously: "Yeah, those moves you made just now really... I was stunned."

Sonoko gestured excitedly, saying, "When you rushed into that group of people, I was worried you'd get shot."

"So you dodge left and right, and all those bullets just graze past you, like something out of a movie—no, even movies aren't this absurd!"

Xiaolan nodded repeatedly in agreement, saying, "And during the final standoff with Snake, even though your gun was out of bullets, you weren't panicked at all. You just walked over step by step to reload!"

"My heart was pounding in my chest!"

Sonoko clasped her hands together, her eyes sparkling: "President, were you a secret agent before? Or did you come from some special forces unit? How do you have such amazing skills?"

As Lin Shen listened to their endless praise, a smile crept onto his face.

That's right!

His actions just now were all for showing off!

Otherwise, he would have just taken out his submachine gun and started sweeping, why go through all this trouble?

Sonoko's utter admiration was written all over her face: "President Hayashi, if you ever stop running your coffee shop, why don't you switch careers and make action movies? You'll definitely be a hit!"

Lin Shen smiled and shook his head, not responding to that.

He put one arm around Ran's shoulder and the other around Sonoko's: "You guys did pretty well tonight too. Especially when you were catching Kaito Kid, you coordinated well and were decisive with your shots!"

Sonoko, flattered by his praise, couldn't hold back any longer and proudly raised her chin: "Of course! Although I don't usually get into fights, I never let you down when it counts."

Ran lowered her head somewhat embarrassedly: "I was actually a little nervous... They fired before Shinichi could even finish speaking!"

Lin Shen said, "It's normal to be nervous, but you did a good job."

"Come on, let's go back to the room. I'll apply some medicated wine for you."

"Those two submachine guns may have modified bullets, but the recoil is considerable. You've been firing all night, your hand muscles must be sore, and they'll probably be swollen tomorrow."

------------

On the other side, after tying up Snake, Phantom Thief Kid planned to take him away.

Conan wanted to follow, but Kaito Kid wouldn't let him, telling Conan, the little brat, to go home and rest and not meddle in adult matters.

Then, Phantom Thief Kid deployed his paraglider and ran off with Snake.

Seeing this, Conan cursed at the Phantom Thief Kid who had flown into the sky.

Only after Kaito Kid was out of sight did Conan reveal a playful smile! He had actually installed a tracking device on Kaito Kid's clothes!

Kaito Kid, let's see how you run now!!

Conan excitedly went downstairs, then left on his skateboard, following the tracker!

However, this turn lasted for an hour.

Conan began to realize something was wrong. He sped up, took a shortcut, and finally arrived at the location of the tracking device—it was in a parking garage, on the roof of a car!

This infuriated Conan, who couldn't help but curse at Kaito Kid, yelling, "That damn bastard! He's playing me for a fool!"

On the other side, on the rooftop.

Kidd tied Snake tightly with a rope several times.

He looked down at the unconscious Snake and couldn't help but chuckle: "After chasing me for so long, I never thought you'd end up like this yourself."

Just as he was about to hoist the man up, a voice came from behind him: "Where are you taking him?"

Kidd looked back.

Conan suddenly reappeared, arms crossed, with a wary expression on his face.

Kidd looked at him and casually replied, "Kid, don't worry about so much. Go home and go to sleep."

Conan frowned: "Don't treat me like a child. What exactly do you want?"

Kidd chuckled. "Children shouldn't meddle in adult matters."

As he spoke, he squatted down and hoisted Snake onto his shoulder.

Then walk to the edge of the rooftop and deploy the hang glider.

Conan quickly caught up: "Wait a minute!"

Kidd glanced back at him, a relaxed smile on his face: "Listen to me, go back and get some rest."

With a flick of his wrists, the white glider unfolded in the night wind, and he and Snake took off into the air, quickly rising into mid-air.

Conan stood on the edge of the rooftop, looking up at the increasingly smaller white dot, stomping his feet in anger: "You bastard Kaito Kid! You just wait!"

After he finished cursing, the corners of his mouth slowly curled up.

While Kidd was crouching down to tie Snake up, he had already attached the tracker to the inside of the white cloak.

Conan pressed a button on his glasses, looked at the tracking signal, and chuckled twice: "Kaito Kid, let's see how you run now."

He ran downstairs quickly, took out the skateboard he had hidden in the roadside bushes, and set off.

The red dot on the tracker kept moving forward, passing through the streets of Beika Town, winding around several riverbanks, and heading west.

Conan followed behind on his skateboard.

He had assumed that Kidd's base would be hidden in some tall building or abandoned warehouse, at most a twenty-minute walk from here.

Ten minutes passed, and the red dot was still moving.

Twenty minutes have passed, and the red dot is still moving.

Thirty minutes passed, and Conan was already panting a little, and the battery on his skateboard had dropped by two bars.

That red dot showed no sign of stopping.

He gritted his teeth and continued the chase.

He drove through a residential area, bypassed a park, and finally took a shortcut before he saw the red dot on the tracker stop.

That location is the rooftop of a parking garage.

Conan sped into the parking garage, climbed all the way to the top floor, followed the signal, and then stopped.

The tracker's signal lay quietly on the roof of a white sedan.

He picked up a small button from the roof of the car.

That was the tracker he attached to Kidd's cape.

There was a white card next to the button, on which a line was written in ballpoint pen: "Little brother, your movements weren't discreet enough!!"

Conan's hands were gripping the buttons so tightly they were making a cracking sound, and his face turned pale and then red.

He realized he'd been tricked!

He yelled at the empty parking garage, "Phantom Thief Kid! You bastard!"

The sound echoed several times in the parking garage, but only echoes responded to him.

That white dot has long since flown away to who knows where.

--------

On the other side, in an inconspicuous old house on the outskirts of Tokyo.

The door opened from the inside the moment the white hang glider was stowed away.

Terai Kinosuke came out to greet him, his face full of worry: "Young Master, you're back! How did tonight go?"

Kaito Kuroba carried Snake into the house, put him down on the ground, and let out a long sigh: "He almost didn't make it back."

Terai was taken aback: "What? Are you alright?"

Kaito Kuroba dusted himself off and said with a smile, "It's nothing. I just ran into a tough guy who helped me catch him."

He pointed to Snake on the ground. "Don't say any more. Tie him to a chair and splash him with cold water to wake him up. I have something to ask him."

Terai's expression changed instantly when he saw Snake's face: "This is... someone from that mysterious organization that's been relentlessly pursuing you?"

Kaito Kuroba nodded: "Yes, it was really difficult to catch him tonight."

The two men tied Snake firmly to a wooden chair.

Kaito Kuroba took the basin of cold water that Terai brought and splashed it directly onto Snake's face without any hesitation.

Snake coughed twice suddenly, waking up with a start.

He looked down at his bound hands and feet, then looked up at Kaito Kuroba in front of him. His expression darkened for a moment, then he gave a cold, smirking look.

"Phantom Thief Kid? Ha, what good is catching me? You think you've won?"

Kaito Kuroba pulled up a chair, sat down in front of him, crossed his hands and rested his chin on them, and said casually, "Now I want to ask you a few questions."

"Answer honestly, and I'll consider letting you off the hook."

Snake snorted, "Forget about it, I won't say a word."

Kaito Kuroba wasn't angry: "Oh, really?"

He turned to look at Terai: "Do you still have the tool I asked you to prepare?"

Terai paused for a moment, then understood, turned around and went into the inner room. A moment later, he came out with a soft-bristled brush and handed it to him.

Kaito Kuroba took the brush, brandished it, and looked at Snake with an innocent expression: "Are you sure you don't want to tell?"

Snake stared at the brush, momentarily confused as to what he was going to do: "What are you going to do? Scratch my itch with this brush?"

"Hehe, you guessed right! One hour as a reward!" Kaito Kuroba chuckled mischievously and took off Snake's shoes.

He took a soft-bristled brush and gently brushed Snake's soles twice.

Snake's body jerked violently. He froze for half a second, then an uncontrollable laugh burst from his throat: "Hahaha... What are you doing! Stop!!"

Kaito Kuroba continues.

He brushed Snake's soles slowly and steadily with a brush.

Snake initially tried to keep up the swearing, but within two minutes, he was already squirming and fidgeting in his chair.

The ropes binding him tightened even more, but his laughter wouldn't stop: "Hahahaha... Stop... Stop! I can't take it anymore... Stop scrolling!"

Kaito Kuroba didn't move: "Will you talk or not?"

Snake suppressed a laugh, his eyes reddening: "I won't tell... hahahahaha..."

Kaito Kuroba said, "Continue."

Then he increased the speed of his hands a little.

Snake laughed so hard he was doubled over, and even his chair was shaking.

Ten minutes later, his face was flushed with laughter, tears streaming down his face, and his voice was hoarse: "I'll talk... I'll talk! Stop! I'll tell you everything!!"

Kaito Kuroba stopped what he was doing, sat back down in his chair, and said calmly, "It would have been better if we had done this sooner."

Snake was panting heavily, looking like he'd just been pulled from the water. It took him a while to catch his breath before he spoke: "Our organization... is very secretive. I'm not some big shot at all, just a small-time boss in charge of arresting people."

Kaito Kuroba asked, "Then who's behind you?"

Snake lowered his head: "I don't know his real name."

Everyone calls him "that man".

"He hired many assassins to obtain the Pandora Gem."

"Phantom Thief Kid, you may be powerful, but you can't beat us!"

"You alone can't even get to the door of our organization, let alone that gentleman."

Kaito Kuroba listened without saying a word.

He stood up, glanced at Terai, and gestured for him to come out with him.

The two walked outside and gently closed the door.

Terai could no longer hide the worry on his face: "Young Master, you heard that too, didn't you?"

"The people behind this organization are powerful. You can't fight them alone."

Kaito Kuroba leaned against the wall and said, "I know."

He was well aware that he was no match for them, otherwise they wouldn't have been chasing and beating him before.

Terai asked anxiously, "Then what do you plan to do? If we continue chasing, we might even lose our lives."

Kaito Kuroba did not answer immediately.

He lowered his head, his gaze fixed on the back of his hand.

After a long while, he suddenly smiled and said, "Grandpa Terai, you're right. I really can't beat them all by myself."

Terai paused for a moment, about to speak, when he saw a meaningful smile appear on Kuroba Kaito's lips: "But I can ask someone for help."

Terai asked, puzzled, "Who are you looking for?"

Kaito Kuroba did not answer the question.

He was just thinking to himself: Lin Shen alone could take on Snake's entire group of men today.

If I could get him involved in the future... things would be much simpler.

As he thought this, he recalled the scene on the rooftop.

Ran and Sonoko see themselves as Shinichi Kudo.

The identity of Shinichi Kudo is indeed convenient to use.

He glanced up at the night outside the window, and the smile on his lips deepened: It seems I'll have to make good use of my identity as Shinichi Kudo.
