Chapter 259 Tanks: They just throw them away like that.

Lin Shen drove the tank and continued chasing the CIA agents!

The cannon barrel turned, and boom—

The third armored vehicle was overturned, rolled twice in the flames, and burned into a pile of scrap metal.

The remaining cars dared not stop, flooring the gas pedal and scattering in all directions, without even the courage to look back.

Lin Shen sat in the cockpit, a slight smile playing on his lips: "It runs pretty fast."

He wanted to chase after another car, but his ears caught the faint sound of police sirens in the distance.

He frowned, knowing it was about time.

If we keep playing around like this, what will come next won't be the CIA, it will be the Self-Defense Forces.

If we get surrounded, that would be troublesome.

He understands the principle of knowing when to stop.

Lin Shen turned the vehicle around, and the tracks rolled over the road, leaving two deep marks.

He drove the tank straight towards the dock, and when he reached the seaside, he drove it into the sea without hesitation.

The tank plunged down the slope into the sea, splashing up large sprays of water, and the tank gradually sank.

When the seawater reached the hatch, Lin Shen slowly climbed out and stood on top of the turret.

He watched the tank slowly sink into the dark water until the last section of the cannon barrel disappeared above the surface, then swam to the edge of the dock, walked up the concrete steps, and went ashore.

Lin Shen changed the cheat code, and a black sedan appeared out of thin air by the roadside.

He opened the car door, got in, started the engine, and drove back.

Tetsuji Tomizawa was still squatting behind that low wall, his suit was wrinkled, and there was blood on his forehead. He looked like he had been drained of all his strength.

He heard the sound of a car approaching and became extremely nervous.

The vehicle stopped, and Lin Shen leaned out and called out, "President, get in the car."

Tomizawa Tetsuji recognized Lin Shen, breathed a sigh of relief, and quickly got up and into the passenger seat.

He noticed Lin Shen was soaking wet and asked in surprise, "Why are you wet?"

Lin Shen casually replied, "I drove the tank into the sea."

Tomizawa Tetsuji: "..."

He stared blankly for several seconds, his mouth agape, before managing to squeeze out a sentence: "Drove...drove into the sea? Don't you want it anymore?"

As Lin Shen drove, he said, "If we can't take it with us, we'll just have to give it up."

This silenced Tetsuji Tomizawa.

Look at others, then look at yourself.

They can just throw away tanks without hesitation.

He even used his connections with Rum to get those hundreds of Gatling guns!

Comparing yourself to others is just infuriating!

.........

The gunshots and explosions at Mihua Wharf gradually subsided into the night.

But the flames and thick smoke could be seen from a great distance.

When Inspector Megure received the report, he was handling a routine theft case in a nearby jurisdiction.

Upon hearing the words "gunfight at the dock," his brows immediately furrowed.

By the time he and his men arrived at the scene, it was already twenty minutes later.

Two police cars stopped outside the cordon. Megure got out of one of them, took two steps forward, and then froze.

The detectives around him were also stunned. One of them opened his mouth, but finally managed to squeeze out, "Is...is this a war?"

The area in front of us was a truly appalling sight.

Several cars were burned to a crisp, blackened shell; some were overturned on the roadside, others were embedded in walls, and shards of glass littered the ground.

The ground was riddled with bullet holes, densely packed like a honeycomb.

Looking further away, the corrugated iron walls at the warehouse entrance were swept into a mess, and rows of deformed bullets were embedded in the cement pillars next to them.

The air was thick with the smell of gunpowder mixed with the stench of burning, making one's stomach churn.

Megure slowly walked forward, and stepped on something.

He looked down and saw a bright yellow shell casing, still warm. He looked around and saw that the ground was almost covered with shell casings, which crunched underfoot.

He took a deep breath, his face growing increasingly grim.

This is definitely not an ordinary firefight. This level of firepower is not something that gangsters can achieve with just a few pistols and submachine guns.

He was about to call his colleagues from the First Investigation Division to come and collect evidence when suddenly, a beam of bright light shone from a distance.

Immediately afterwards, several military green trucks rumbled in, their headlights so bright they made it impossible to open one's eyes.

After the vehicle came to a stop, a group of Self-Defense Force soldiers in camouflage uniforms jumped out of the carriage.

They acted swiftly, quickly sealing off the entire area, setting up barricades, and standing in two rows with guns, completely surrounding the scene.

Megure was stunned, then quickly stepped forward: "Wait! We're from the Metropolitan Police Department's First Investigative Division! We're here to investigate a case!"

The leading Self-Defense Force officer glanced at him and said expressionlessly, "From now on, this area is under the control of the Self-Defense Forces. Please leave."

Megure frowned: "But this case is handled by our Metropolitan Police Department—"

Before he could finish speaking, a Self-Defense Force soldier stepped forward, raised his hand to block his way, and said in an uncompromising tone, "Please leave. This is an order."

Megure stood there, his face alternating between pale and flushed.

In all his years as a criminal investigator, this was the first time he'd ever been turned away like this.

But he also knew that the Self-Defense Forces were a military system, and they were two completely different systems from the police. If they didn't obey his orders, he couldn't force his way in.

He could only stand outside the cordon and report to his superiors via mobile phone, waiting to see how Officer Matsumoto would handle the situation!

A few minutes later, several black cars arrived.

The car door opened, and Kazami Yuya got out, followed by several public security police officers.

He had obviously received the news and came here specifically to handle it.

Kazami Yuya pulled out his identification and said in a fairly polite tone, "We are from the Metropolitan Police Department's Public Security Bureau and we need to enter the premises to investigate."

The Self-Defense Force officer glanced at the identification and did not allow passage: "We have orders that the Self-Defense Forces will handle this matter entirely for the time being. The same applies to the Public Security Bureau. Please cooperate."

Kazami Yuya's lips twitched, and he forced himself to breathe a sigh of relief.

In all his years as a police officer, this was truly the first time he had ever been so forcefully blocked from entering.

He couldn't confront the Self-Defense Forces head-on. After a few seconds of stalemate, he could only step back, take out his phone, and dial Kuroda Heibei's number.

The phone was answered after only two rings. Kazami Yuya lowered his voice and spoke quickly: "Supervisor Kuroda, the Self-Defense Forces have sealed off the area at Beika Wharf. Our people can't get in."

"You need to come here in person."

There was a two or three-second silence on the other end of the phone before Kuroda Hyoue's voice came through: "I understand." Then he hung up.

While Kazami Yuya was making the phone call, inside the warehouse, Self-Defense Force soldiers were quickly moving the wooden crates out.

His movements were incredibly nimble, as if he had practiced countless times.

One wooden crates after another were loaded onto military green trucks, neatly stacked, and covered with tarpaulins.

In less than ten minutes, one hundred Gatling guns and their ammunition, along with the wooden crates, were all loaded onto the vehicle.

The officer in charge glanced at the neatly stacked goods in the carriage, nodded in satisfaction, and then waved his hand: "Let's go."

Several trucks, along with a few military green SUVs, drove out of the dock one after another and disappeared into the night.

Megure Juzo stood outside the police line, watching the trucks disappear into the distance, his brows furrowing deeper and deeper.

He clearly knew the other party had stopped and couldn't touch the crime scene, but... he was just a small fry and had no right to speak.

About ten minutes later, a black sedan drove up from a distance and stopped outside the cordon.

The car door opened, and Kuroda Hyōe stepped out.

He was wearing a sharp black suit, and his face beneath the eye patch revealed no expression.

He walked to the cordon, glanced at the Self-Defense Force officers standing inside, took out his identification, and said, "This area doesn't seem to be under your Self-Defense Force's jurisdiction, does it?"

The Self-Defense Force officer had changed his tune; while his attitude wasn't exactly respectful, it was noticeably better than when he'd treated Inspector Megure and Kazami before: "Mr. Kuroda."

"This is a Self-Defense Forces controlled area. All supplies at the scene have been cleared, and there is currently no need for police intervention."

Kuroda Hyōe looked at him without speaking immediately, his gaze as cold as a dry well.

He paused for a few seconds, then said, "Supplies? What supplies?"

The Self-Defense Force officer did not answer his question, but simply saluted and said, "Sorry, that's classified. Please leave."

Kuroda Hyōe stood still, motionless. In the distance, the sea breeze from the dock carried with it the smells of burning and blood.

He stared in the direction of the warehouse for a long while before slowly speaking: "Kazemi."

Kazami Yuya quickly stepped forward: "Yes!"

Kuroda's voice was calm, yet tinged with coldness: "Close this line. I need to know where those trucks went."

Kazami Yuya nodded: "Understood."

Kuroda Hyōe glanced at the charred scene again, then turned around, opened the car door, and got in.
