The soldiers exchanged glances, then slowly stood up.

A bald soldier who had drunk half a bottle of beer chuckled: "Hey kid, did you come to the wrong place?"

Another white soldier, a large man a head taller than Lin Shen, his muscles taut over his camouflage uniform, stood up, cracked his neck, and said, "You want a one-on-one fight, huh?"

Lin Shen raised his chin: "Yes, a one-on-one fight. Who dares to come?"

The burly white man walked out with a smile.

He walked to the table, casually finished his can of beer, then crushed it on the ground and tossed it into a corner: "I'll play with you."

The soldiers nearby immediately perked up.

A tall, thin man was the first to shout, "Come on, let's open the betting! Who will win?"

Upon hearing this, the others pulled out banknotes from their pockets and threw them on the table.

"Me and LeBron James!"

"I'm betting on this hothead!"

"The loser pays for the next meal."

"Raise the bet! Raise the bet!"

Gambling is also a strong suit of the US military. In less than ten seconds, a messy stack of banknotes and change was piled on the table.

Lin Shen looked at the white soldier, pointed to his own face, and said, "Come on, let me give you a punch."

The white soldier paused for a moment.

He hadn't expected Lin Shen to say that, and asked in surprise, "Are you serious?"

Lin Shen patted his face: "Stop talking nonsense, just fight."

The white soldier chuckled. "You'll regret this!"

As he spoke, he clenched his fist and swung it out with a sudden punch.

That punch was very powerful, and it even made a whooshing sound!

With a bang, a fist slammed into Lin Shen's face.

Lin Shen tilted his head slightly, losing more than twenty points of armor.

He turned back, touched his cheek, and smiled. "That's it?"

The white soldier was stunned, somewhat unable to believe that his punch had caused such little damage.

Then he heard Lin Shen say, "It's my turn."

The next second, Lin Shen's fist arrived.

The white soldier felt a sudden darkness before his eyes, and his head buzzed.

He stumbled back two steps and bumped into the wall.

He shook his head, stood up straight, his eyes still a little glazed over.

The soldiers nearby erupted in astonishment. "Holy crap! This guy's that strong?"

"Betting open! Let's bet on how many punches he can take!"

"I'll bet three punches!"

"Five punches! I bet five punches!"

Another pile of banknotes appeared on the table.

Lin Shen looked at the white soldier and cracked his knuckles: "Continue."

The white soldier gritted his teeth, stood up again, and punched Lin Shen in the stomach.

Lin Shen didn't even frown.

"My turn." He threw another punch.

The white soldier swayed slightly, only managing to stay upright by grabbing the table.

And so it went, punch after punch after punch.

You hit me, I hit you.

Lin Shen took several punches to the face and stomach, but stood there as if nothing had happened.

In contrast, the white soldier's face was swollen on one side, blood was still seeping from the corner of his mouth, and his eyes were somewhat unfocused.

On the fifth punch, Lin Shen raised his fist again.

Upon seeing the fist, the white soldier instinctively shrank back and dodged it.

Lin Shen smiled and slowly lowered his hand: "You lost."

The soldiers nearby became lively again.

Those who won money slammed their fists on the table in joy, while those who lost money cursed and swore.

Someone else yelled at the white soldier, "James, you're fucking useless! You made me lose a hundred dollars for nothing!"

The white soldier stood there, feeling embarrassed.

He was panting heavily, and a fierce glint suddenly flashed in his eyes.

He reached for his waist, pulled out a pistol, and pointed it at Lin Shen: "Die—"

Before the other person could even raise their gun properly, Lin Shen raised his hand, and the gun was already in his hand.

boom!

The white soldier was shot between the eyebrows and fell straight backward.

His head slammed onto the floor, splattering blood everywhere.

The room was silent for a second.

Then all the remaining soldiers drew their guns and aimed them at Lin Shen.

"Don't move!"

"Put down your weapons!"

"Put your hands up!"

"..."

They stopped fooling around and their eyes were filled with seriousness.

Lin Shen held up one hand, the other still holding the smoking gun, looked around, and smiled: "What? Not fighting anymore? You're all cowards."

One of the soldiers cursed and took a step forward: "In this world, connections and background matter! What good is it if you're a one-man fighter?!"

As he spoke, he reached out to snatch the gun from Lin Shen's hand.

Lin Shen didn't resist and just let him take the gun.

The soldier got the gun and breathed a sigh of relief; the others also relaxed their guard.

Just then, a gun appeared out of thin air in Lin Shen's other hand.

boom! boom! boom!

He was driving very fast.

The first shot took down the soldier who tried to seize the gun.

The second shot knocked down the person on the left.

The third and fourth shots took down two men who were just about to pull the trigger.

The remaining few reacted a beat too slow; they had already run out of bullets.

The gunfire stopped.

The room fell silent again.

People were lying haphazardly on the ground, some of them still bleeding from their chests.

Lin Shen stood still, put his gun away, glanced around, and shook his head: "We could have talked a little longer, and you could have lived a little longer. What a pity."

Just then, the door to the room was pushed open.

Vermouth, disguised as a black soldier, walked in.

She looked around, speechless, with an expression that said, "I knew this would happen!"

She felt her head spinning: "Didn't I tell you to wait for my signal before you acted? Why are you starting a fight now?"

Lin Shen shrugged, looking quite helpless: "There's nothing I can do. That guy wanted to touch my butt."

"You want me to be touched inappropriately by a man? I can't stand it."

Vermouth rolled her eyes: "It's just touching his butt, what's the big deal? Just let him touch it first, and then kill him after he's done what he wanted, right?"

"With all your abilities, you can't even handle this little bit of grievance?"

Without saying a word, Lin Shen reached out and pinched Vermouth's butt hard.

Vermouth jumped back as if she'd been electrocuted, both shocked and furious: "What are you doing?!"

Lin Shen chuckled and raised his chin: "You make it sound so easy, but when it comes to you, you react faster than anyone else. You talk like you don't mind."

Vermouth was both embarrassed and annoyed. She glared at him and snorted, "Alright, stop talking nonsense."

"You've made such a commotion; the other patrols are already on their way. Clean this up yourself."

As she spoke, she turned and walked towards the office, leaving without looking back with the words, "I still have things to get."

Lin Shen walked to the door and glanced into the office.

The colonel had already collapsed behind his desk, dead.

Vermouth was rummaging through the filing cabinet behind him, her movements swift, as if she were looking for something.

Footsteps could be heard at the end of the corridor.

Urgent, dense, and getting closer and closer.

Lin Shen took a step back, pressed his back against the wall, and twirled the pistol in his hand, which had already been reloaded.

He knew he was about to go on a killing spree again tonight!
