I'm in Detective Conan, and I start with the Grand Theft Auto system.

Chapter 48 Oh? If there's anything you can do to help, are you really capable of doing so?

Akemi was stunned for two or three seconds when she saw Shiho Miyano appear.

Immediately, the smile on her face switched from business mode to genuine joy.

She put down the coffee pot, quickly walked around from behind the bar, stood in front of Shiho Miyano, and grasped her hands firmly, her voice filled with barely suppressed excitement:

"Shiho! What brings you here??"

Shiho Miyano let her hold her hand, her expression remaining calm and serene.

Her tone was slightly teasing: "What? Can't I come over?"

Mingmei quickly shook her head: "Of course not! You're very welcome! You can come every day!"

As she spoke, she pulled Shiho Miyano's hand and led her inside, her entire gesture conveying the message, "I'm so happy."

Shiho Miyano obediently let her pull her a couple of steps, but her gaze swept around the store—then she noticed the man sitting by the window.

She asked casually, "Guests have arrived so early in the morning?"

Mingmei followed her gaze to Lin Shen and quickly explained, "He's not a guest. His name is Lin Shen, and he's my partner..."

"He's also my savior. If it weren't for him, I might already be dead, having fallen into Gin's trap."

When she finished speaking, the smile on her face faded, replaced by regret, self-blame, and a hint of lingering fear.

Shiho Miyano's expression shifted slightly.

She looked at Akemi's profile, remained silent for a moment, and then spoke: "That bank robbery mission?"

Akemi nodded.

She didn't hide anything, sat down in the booth next to her, and began to recount the events in fits and starts.

From the moment Gin approached her to make a deal, to the moment she brought a bomb to negotiate with Gin.

Next, they received the code name, and the other party explained their mission...

She spoke in great detail, and when she described how she fell into the trap, her tone was filled with undisguised self-mockery and regret.

After listening to Akemi's story, Shiho Miyano's expression clearly darkened.

She put down her coffee cup, crossed her arms, frowned slightly, and spoke with obvious displeasure:

"Sister, why didn't you discuss such an important matter with me?"

Upon hearing her question, Mingmei's smile immediately turned into a wry smile.

She lowered her head, like a child who had done something wrong, her voice growing softer and softer: "I'm sorry...it's my fault."

"At the time, I was only thinking about getting you out of the organization, which was too simplistic of a plan, so..."

Shiho Miyano opened her mouth, wanting to say a few words of reprimand.

But seeing Mingmei's self-reproachful and regretful expression, the words stuck in his throat.

What could she possibly say?

That was her older sister.

She was seething with anger, but in the end, all she could manage was a long sigh: "Sigh... never mind. It's not entirely your fault."

Her tone softened, "If I hadn't hidden those things from you, you wouldn't have made such a foolish decision."

Shiho Miyano paused, then looked up again, staring directly into Akemi's eyes, her tone serious yet somewhat cold: "Sister, Gin is right about one thing, I can't leave the organization."

"And I won't leave the organization! I'll stay and continue my parents' research."

These words were like a bucket of cold water poured on Mingmei's heart.

The color drained from her face, and she froze on the spot, her lips moving but she didn't know what to say.

Seeing Akemi's disappointed look, Shiho Miyano felt bad too, but she knew she had to make things clear!

My older sister is too soft-hearted and always harbors unrealistic fantasies, which will harm her.

She gritted her teeth, her tone becoming even colder: "Besides, even if I really leave the organization, with the drug information I have, it won't just be the organization's people who want to arrest me."

"International intelligence agencies, other criminal organizations, and even some incredibly wealthy individuals and private military companies will all pounce on us like sharks smelling blood."

"My situation will be a hundred times worse than it is now."

These words were like a knife, precisely piercing through the thin veil of illusion in Mingmei's heart.

Her body trembled slightly, and the bitter smile on her face became even more bitter: "So...so that's how it is...I understand."

Her voice was so low it was almost inaudible.

She finally understood that she and her sister had fallen into a trap from the very beginning.

What pained her even more was that the pit was dug by their own parents.

Who can she complain to now?

Shiho Miyano didn't want to dwell on this topic any longer.

She is not someone who likes to dwell on negative emotions.

She turned to look at Lin Shen, who was still sitting by the window, and changed the subject: "Sister, won't you introduce me to Mr. Lin?"

Mingmei snapped out of her daze, quickly wiped away the moisture from the corner of her eyes, and nodded: "Okay."

She composed herself, led Shiho Miyano to Lin Shen's table, and put on a smile again: "Mr. Lin, this is my sister, Shiho Miyano, whom I mentioned to you before."

Lin Shen then put down the newspaper in his hand, looked up, and carefully examined Shiho Miyano.

The mixed-race person's features were exquisitely perfect, with short brown hair framing a well-defined face. He had a cool and aloof demeanor and exuded an aura of "don't bother me."

Her figure was indeed perfect. He thought to himself, this woman is indeed beautiful, but her cold expression and aura that seemed to say "keep away" made her look like the kind of person who was particularly difficult to deal with.

He didn't say much, just nodded politely and gave a simple greeting: "Hello."

Although Shiho Miyano appears aloof, that's just her habitual social facade.

When she faced Lin Shen formally, she still bowed slightly and sincerely expressed her gratitude: "Mr. Lin, thank you for helping my sister."

Lin Shen waved his hand, his tone relaxed: "No need to be so polite. It's just a matter of mutual benefit."

Shiho Miyano is not someone who likes to beat around the bush.

She said directly, "If there's anything I can do to help you in the future, please don't hesitate to let me know."

Upon hearing this, Lin Shen's smile immediately turned somewhat amused: "Oh? If there's anything I can do to help, are you really capable?"

"Yes," Shiho Miyano readily agreed.

When Mingmei, who was standing to the side, saw the smile on Lin Shen's face, her heart skipped a beat.

Although she and Lin Shen did not spend much time together, their communication was highly efficient and frequent!

She immediately knew what wicked scheme the other person was plotting!

She quickly stepped forward, her face slightly flushed, and interrupted their conversation: "Um... Mr. Lin! I haven't seen my sister in a long time, and I'd like to have a good chat with her."

Lin Shen looked at Mingmei's slightly flushed face, which had a pleading expression, and smiled.

He knew what she was worried about and didn't intend to embarrass her.

He stood up, folded the newspaper, and placed it on the table: "Yes, that's true. You sisters really should catch up."

After he finished speaking, Shiho Miyano nodded and walked out of the cafe, flipping the "OPEN" sign at the door to "CLOSED" to leave the space to the two sisters.

Mingmei watched Lin Shen's departing figure and let out a long sigh of relief.

She silently thanked him once in her heart, for he hadn't embarrassed her in front of her sister.
